Battle of the Twins

After Enkidu and Shamhat were done, they looked at each other in silence. Within Enkidu's eyes were a deep sense of realization and understanding of his place in this world. He realized that he was indeed lacking humanity, but in the process of gaining it, he lost his animal instinct.

When he turned to look at his comrades, the eight beast kings, he found that their eyes held a distant look in them, as if they were looking at a stranger.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Enkidu asked the eight beast kings in perfect sumerian, however, he found that when he spoke, the beasts didn't understand him. Realizing that, he tried to speak in the animalistic growl he was accustomed to, but to his shock, he discovered that he forgot that language.

Will, however, to his shock, discovered that he could actually still speak the language of the beast kings! He was confused. What exactly did Shamhat do? What was her purpose, and just what were her means? She said she was sent by Ishtar, the Goddess of the Temple of Love and War.

The beast kings looked at each other, and began speaking. However, Enkidu discovered to his shock that he couldn't understand them anymore. However, Will understood perfectly.

"Enkidu, you have lost what you had. Now you can no longer be our companion. Leave the forest and do not ever return." The wolf said.

The beasts realized that Enkidu couldn't understand them. They looked at each other with disappointed expressions, before disappearing deep into the Forbidden Forest.

Shamhat looked at Enkidu. "You have no future in this forest. By the Goddess's will, you may follow me to the city of Uruk."

Enkidu knew that he had abandoned the forest. He realized that he did not feel at home in the forest anymore, instead, he felt a deep uneasiness and a desire to visit the city of Uruk.

Along the way, Enkidu and Shamhat stop by a number of human dwellings of shepherds, where Enkidu learnt about the tyrannical nature of Gilgamesh. He remembered the sight of Anu, his creator, telling him that he was created to free the people of Uruk from the tyranny of Gilgamesh's rule.

"I must defeat Gilgamesh and rid the city of Uruk of his scourge." Enkidu said with a calm rage, when he heard of the tearful shepherds' plight.

After several days, Enkidu and Shamhat arrived at Uruk. Enkidu, who saw the gigantic city for the first time was shocked by its opulence. He remembered the elephant talking about the mountain of clay - and realized that it was talking about the city walls of Uruk.

When they were walking on the street, Will was suddenly shocked, for he saw, through Enkidu's own eyes, the mighty visage of Gilgamesh, walking towards himself. As Gilgamesh, Will had not realized how truly strong Gilgamesh was. Seeing him like this, right now, showed him how terrifyingly intimidating he was. His body was radiating a pressure that even put a stress on Enkidu's body, but it was just a mild stress. Enkidu himself wasn't weak.

Gilgamesh saw that a person who looked identical to him had appeared and spoke. "I have been having visions of your arrival. Why did the Gods create a likeness of me? In this world there can only be one me!" Gilgamesh's roar caused cracks to appear on the ground and the clay buildings, as if it were the result of a terrifying earthquake.

"You are you. I am me. My name is Enkidu. I have walked through your kingdom and seen the tyranny you've wielded indiscriminately. Today, I challenge you to save the people of Uruk!" Enkidu roared back, causing an equally tremendous vibration and several.more cracks to appear everywhere.

Gilgamesh frowned as he saw Enkidu's power was no less than his! However, if mere competition would have caused him to worry, he wouldn't be called Gilgamesh the conqueror!

Without any hesitation, Gilgamesh threw out his most powerful punch. Will could see a terrifying star appear in Gilgamesh's hand, blinding everything as it hurtled towards Enkidu. Enkidu punched out as well, and behind him roiled a terrifyingly gigantic mammoth, with tusks as large as a palm tree. Enkidu suddenly turned into the incredibly sturdy mammoth, as his punch hurtled out with an unyielding will to resist any attack.

As the two punches collided, the star in Gilgamesh's fist blast out like a gigantic laser beam, burning Enkidu, however at the same time, a terrifying mammoth collided into Gilgamesh's fist, as tornadoes roiled and twisted his arm.

Both of them were thrown backwards hundreds of steps, colliding into walls. Enkidu's entire body was charred black, but he got up like he was unharmed, while Gilgamesh had a terrifying twisted wound on his chest, however, he too stood up without breaking a sweat. However, the entire street was already devastated as people ran away for their lives.

Gilgamesh laughed. "Good! Now take this!" Once again, Gilgamesh rushed ahead like a gigantic behemoth, as a star shone within his fist, yet this time, the star wasn't white, but golden! Enkidu suddenly parted his legs, and stood straight, forcing his back erect. As his punch moved forward, a gigantic bear, even larger than the mammoth appeared. The bear threw a gigantic slap towards Gilgamesh.

The collision led out a huge billow of smoke and dust and it was hard to make out the result of the clash. However, Will knew! Enkidu lost! When the two punches collided, the golden star let out a terrifying burst of light that completely burned Enkidu to a crisp, and his bear like silhouette paled. However it did eventually slap Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh was still standing, however, he was heavily coughing blood, and dizzy. Enkidu was down spread out on the ground. Will could feel the terrifying pain, the intensity of the battle and gained the combat experience first hand. He came to a judgement immediately.

Enkidu was strong. Very strong. However, Gilgamesh was much stronger! "Is this the effect of having a clean body as a foundation?" Will wondered in shock and pain.

At this moment, Enkidu struggled to get up again. His flesh had been roasted and the smell of cooked human flesh reached Gilgamesh's nose, causing him to frown.

"You lost. Stay down." Gilgamesh thundered.

"I will stand up. For the people of Uruk, I will stand!" Enkidu got up. Suddenly, his body began twisting around like a snake and the silhouette of a white boa snake appeared around him. Within moments, Enkidu shed his skin, just like a snake. His body looked less bulkier than before, more compact, but all his burn wounds had disappeared and a sharp unwillingness to back down shone from his eye.

"Your methods are very strong." Gilgamesh admitted freely. "However, in terms of strength, you are very much lacking!"
