Old friend of mother

I was caught of guard she said she was happy to hear me that mother had talked about me and said so many great things . So i told her i was in europe and that if she had time to drink a cup of coffee and she accepted i said " is tomorrow ok " she kindly accepted .

The hours went by very quickly we had agreed to drink a cup of coffee at her home i accepted the offer and i called for an uber.

When we arrived to her home it was beautiful i didn't have the words to explain how beautiful and mesmerizing it was. I knocked and almost immediately the door was opened by a older man . He leaded the way to the living room where i waited .

Her thoughts " damn this is how rich people live they don't even open the door i could sleep all day if i were to live here , focus Maya focus " Karen came to the living room she looked younger than what i expected she looked like she was in her 30's if im right she was around 46 .She was very nice i could tell she was an elegant educated women. I asked " karen can i call u that " she said " yes you may me and your mother where childhood friends " oh really well i was happy that she shared some of her stories with me but i had to ask .

I was really nervous but i had to ask " karen i came here to ask you if u knew the where about's of my father , my mother" a tear fell down my face without me realizing she asked "is everything ok , how's lucy why didn't she accompany you today? "

" my mother " tears fell down my cheek i was shocked i wasn't fully aware of what was going on around me anymore .
