Waking up the devil

Jason was pissed seeing her stopping him from going to Jennifer. He shook off her hand and went away. He didn't even care about her getting insulted in front of everyone. The only thing he cared about was Jennifer. He was head over heels upon her.

Christina felt sad and embarrassed about being treated like that. Everyone looked at her and started to laugh and whisper among them. She left the hall instantly, trying to stop her tears.

Everytime she tries to get close to him, she ends up getting hurt. She just wanted him to care about her, where was less than Jennifer?

Both of them are rich households, they both look good but why does he only go for her? She was only bad at bullying others. She can never bully an innocent one like her.

Yes, she was soft hearted but she never disliked that trait of her, was it bad to be soft hearted.

Even if she was born in a rich household, she was not spoiled like other rich kids, she was taught to be good with everyone even if they are poor.

Was that her bad character? Maybe for Jason it was. She went outside to the stadium, and sat down in one of the empty chairs.

She didn't know why she came there, maybe she knew there would be no one there to see her misery.

The night of that summer was so beautiful, the velvet night wearing the veil of stars and the full bloom moon, and crickets singing for their loved ones. The grass in the stadium was a bit wet, the moonlight reflecting on the drops of the water on the grass, making it sparkle like pearls around a pretty lady's neck.

What a beautiful night to spend to loved ones but she was spending it here alone. She held her mouth with one of her hands to not let the sobs leave her mouth. If anyone was passing by she didn't want them to see her in this state.

Tears can't stop, she was trying to stop them but she can't. They just don't stop, those tears were the emotions, the emotions which always wanted to come out and today it got a chance to finally leave her inner dark world and they don't want to stop today. They want to come out.

Suddenly a tissue was passed to her, she was surprised and feared seeing the tissue.

She gulped in nervousness, before looking up. Finally she gathered her courage and looked up. It was no other than Vincent.

He was wearing a white top, matched with a dark blue shirt, paired with simple blue jeans. His black hair was hiding his forehead.

She was more astounded to see him there, he looked away as soon as she looked up at him.

Was he mocking at her misery? She thought to herself seeing him turn away his face.

She felt a sudden anger against him. If it was not for his sister she would not be in that state. And now even the brother came to mock at her misery. Why her? What did she do with the siblings?

He snapped away his hands, and rubbed away the left tears with her hands before she started to leave.

Vincent was surprised with her behavior, he looked to her leaving figure and grabbed her hand.

Christina turned back in anger, and shook away his head,"What do you want?" She yelled in a cold tone. She didn't want to see him.

She was trying to leave but he held her, why? Just to mock her for being clingy to a man and bully her. She was soft hearted but that didn't mean anyone can do anything to her. She can protect herself.

Vincent felt annoyed by her behavior, he was just genuinely trying to help her but she was so spoiled trying to act all high and mighty.

He was passing by the stadium to his way back home from the library, when he heard someone sobbing. Being curious he just went to check and saw her sitting there and sobbing.

He just felt bad for her. Such a beautiful woman crying alone there, was pitiful. He didn't want to go close but he can't leave like that. At last give in and sighed before going to her and passing her the tissue, but she was completely different from what he thought.

She snapped away his hand in arrogance, for what? He was just trying to help her out who thought she would behave like that. It was really a mistake that he thought rich kids are good. They are just spoiled one like his sister.

He handed the tissue to her hand, and started to leave. Christina was more furious with him forcefully handing her the tissue. She didn't want to, she didn't want their sympathy.

She was fine, she was not weak. She can protect herself, why can't they leave her alone. Did she kill them in the past life that she was going through these?

After forcefully handing her the tissue he started to leave without saying anything, when she throwed the tissue towards him in anger. She started to weep again, it was more fury. Anger and hate inside her was shedding in the form of her tears.

Vincent stopped on his track when he felt the tissue hit his back. He had enough, he was trying to be a good one but she was arrogant.

It was his limit, and she crossed it. She was waking up the devil and she should bear the consequences of waking the devil.

He turned around, his eyes icy cold turning air around them cold to the freezing point. Suddenly the beautiful summer night turned to a stormy winter night.

Christina was feared by his icy behavior, she started to step back from him. She felt his cold glares which were like daggers hitting her.

"Wh-what do you want?" She stumbled on her words in fear, stepping back from him.
