What is love?

Sebastian didn't go behind, he was still unsure what he wanted? Does he really love her or was it just a phase in his lonely life?

He sat down on the bench, regretting what he did to her. How can he go back on his words? Didn't he already say he will never like her?

If this was a phase he wanted to enjoy her but if it's the love, he hopes they never fall into this.

He closed his eyes unsure of what to do. A blurry image of the fire flashed, the image of a young woman forcefully being taken away from the fire. She was begging, screaming, and crying to let her go yet those men acted like they didn't care about anything. They are just emotionless monsters.

"Son! Leave this place before. Son!" The woman screamed as her figure disappeared into the air.

Sebastian opened his eyes, breathing heavily. He knows that place better than anyone. The last time he saw his mother and the first time he found out his father was a monster.

Seventeen years have passed since then, but the face of his mother remains vivid in his mind. Humans are just selfish once they find love, it's addictive, for which we never consent.

Once we fall in love, we can't stop it. We may stop loving a person and move on but we fall again for another person, the love reappears and the cycle never ends.

His mother fell for him, his father. But the young naive girl never knew he already had a lover and a son well hidden from the world. She felt and he said he did too, they married and had a son of their own but who would expect one day the same man will destroy his own family, he would announce about his lover and son to the world. The young naive girl who fell for him just stayed there heartbroken, not wanting to accept but he was way worse than she thought.

To keep their son and make him the heir, he put her in jail and never allowed them to meet their mother and son. Who was at fault for the woman and his son who didn't say anything even after knowing he married another girl and started a family? Or his father who never thought of telling any of them about it. Or his mother who foolishly fell for the wrong man and destroyed her future. Or him who came to this world just to be an orphan even with parents? Maybe all or no one.

But he would agree that it destroys everyone's life, no one is happy but they have to act like they are. The cruel fate he was bound to be not for Sarael. He doesn't want to be a copy of his father. The reason why he never wants love was because he was scared. He was scared he would be devil-like his father and do something bad, that even can't change, just regret.

"You deserve better than me," Sebastian muttered, before letting out a smile Of melancholy and leaving the classroom. It was destiny who bought them close at the wrong time. Maybe in the next life, he can keep her, spend a life with her as he wishes.

What is love? The feeling of being happy around your partner or the compromises we make for them. Love is complex. We want to be selfish for them yet we don't want to. We want to give them the world but your world becomes them. Is it really like we explain or love is something we can never understand.
