I waited in darkness for who knew how long, I saw nothing, I felt nothing it was as if I was waiting for something. A light soon appeared drawing my attention, it floated a distance away from me and for some reason, I knew If I reached for it, it would disappear leaving me in darkness once again.
I waited patiently and eventually that speck of light entered my very being.
I opened my eyes to the sounds of the waves crashing and the smell of the sea. I quickly sat up noticing the two men rowing the boat, I could care less about them what drew my attention was the sun. It was covered by clouds but it threatened to break through, I had been in darkness for as long as I could remember seeing the world felt amazing.
Pain flooded my mind, my screams drew the attention of the two men sitting next to me but they could do nothing to stop the pain not that they wanted to. Memories filled my mind, Memories I knew weren't my own.
Aegon Targaryen, the name of the body I was currently in, I knew that name. Targaryen's I remembered them from a popular T.V. show I had once forced myself to watch.
I could remember forcing myself to watch it but nothing else, I didn't remember my name, my face if I had any family or friends. I didn't even remember how or if I had died. The only memories besides Aegon's were of the show, thinking it about it caused my head to hurt.
I shook myself from my thoughts remembering something from the T.V. Show the only Aegon Targaryen I knew was Jon Snow. Maybe I was one of the Aegon's from the past, I remember Jon Snow was like the fifth Aegon or something along those lines. I wasn't very invested in the show, I had a character I liked but I had learned not to get attached.
I remembered most of the T.V. show and minor details from the books I was sure those minor details would one day come in handy although dealing with the inconsistencies between both would be a headache.
"Boy, are you alright?"
One of the men spoke up, turning to him I noticed the yellowness of his teeth, the lack of hair in the center of his head. Not to mention he smelled like shit, "I'm fine sir what's going on?" I spoke as Innocently as I can and it seemed to work as the guy froze before looking at the man sitting behind me.
"They said the prince was polite but I didn't think he'd be that polite he even called me Ser like I'm a knight or something."
I'm a Prince? Well, I had considered that with the last name being royalty and all but hearing it from someone else hit differently.
"Don't get all emotional, we've already kidnapped the little bastard, returning him now would only lead to our deaths. The Dornish people are the kind that doesn't shy from revenge their the type to travel across the world especially when you kidnap one of their kids."
That was more information then I was expecting to get, it seemed these two didn't care if I knew I was being kidnapped. I was only aware of one Dornish woman marrying a Targaryen, the sister of Oberyn Martell. The guard was right Dornish people are the kind to travel across the world for revenge, Oberyn was one of my favorites in the show he had almost killed the Mountain. If I was the son of Ella Martell that would change everything, it would mean another Targaryen capable of taking the throne in the future. It also meant the T.V. Shows plot had already been thrown to hell.
The Canoe soon reached the land and my two kidnappers quickly climbed out of the small boat. They didn't restrain me or anything likely believing I couldn't escape even if I wished to and luckily for them I currently didn't wish to.
Grass Plains greeted my sight, in fact, it reminded me of one of the scenes with Daenerys she had walked similar-looking plains when her dragon had flown off without her. I remembered most of her scenes because I was in love with her, Jon Snow taking her life ruined the show for me.
*Rumble*
"Get down boy," One of the men dropped to the ground pulling him with me.
"It's the Dothraki savage's," the other man said causing me to shake my head. Had they really kidnapped me only to bring me to land owned by people I couldn't understand. The Dothraki were awesome in the show but they were brutal people who wouldn't mind destroying whole villages for the spoils.
"Stay down and pray they don't come our way," One of the men smiled as he reached for the sword lying on his waist.
It didn't seem that luck was in our favor as the Dothraki came to a halt directly in front of us. Their leader a man very much resembling Khal Drogo from the show dismounted his horse. He focused his attention to his surrounding for some reason it felt like he knew we were there, He raised his right hand up showing 4 fingers. 4 other men quickly dismounted their horses as he led the way to us.
"They know we're here, how the hell did we end up so close to their territory," There was nothing I could do, there was no escaping the Dothraki any one of them could chase me down. Aegon had to have been 4 at the very oldest, my little legs would do little to help my escape.
One of the men quickly stood up drawing his sword he dashed towards the leader of the Dothraki. A grin could be seen on the Dothraki Male's face he drew his curved blade before my kidnapper could react his head had been removed from his body.
It was nothing like the T.V. shows, I quickly turned my face to the side as I vomited the little bit of food and liquid I had in the past few days. It was brutal, and it had happened so fast, the Dothraki leader wiped the blood from his blade as he continued towards us.
"Wait," My other kidnapper dropped his sword, reaching for me, I had barely wiped the vomit from my mouth as he showed me to the Dothraki Leader.
"This boy right here is a prince, do you understand me, he'll fetch you whatever you need. I'm sure his family will supply each of your people with a horse as long as you sell them back to him. I just ask you to let me go."
I watched as the Dothraki Leader raised an eyebrow he seemed to be able to understand English, "Prince?" He let out in a rough voice, he looked at me with curiosity.
"I'll take him." He said causing my kidnapper to nod and quickly smile, he was losing money but that meant nothing compared to his life. "But I don't need you alive for that," My kidnapper froze in fear quickly reaching towards the ground for his sword. I was sure what he would try maybe he would threaten to kill me unless the Leader of the Dothraki decided to let him live. I couldn't become a burden right now he regarded me with a curiosity which meant I had a chance at coming out of this alive but if he was forced to choose between killing my kidnapper or keeping me alive I'm sure he would choose the former.
I took off, not away from the Dothraki but towards them, even apes had raised a young Tarzan I just hoped I was making the right choice. I locked eyes with their leader stopping a few feet in front of him, I couldn't let them think I was going to attack.
"My name Is Aegon Targaryen, Grandson of Aerys Targaryen King of the Iron throne." I bowed for theatrical effects.
"Mhm," I didn't know exactly what that grunt meant but he didn't look like he wanted to kill me. I turned around just in time to see my kidnapper charging towards me, I didn't blame I was currently his best chance at life. Unfortunately for him I could care less about his life I didn't have any memories of my own so I would become Aegon and he had stolen as a child no older than the age of 5 for greed, he would get no pity from me.
The Leader of the Khal muttered something in Dothraki as two of his men charged towards my kidnapper they took their time ending his life. They were savages that enjoyed killing, raping, and pillaging, They seemed to enjoy watching as the blood was drained from his body with each cut. I was just glad they hadn't decided to kill me yet, I would have to play my cards right If I expected them to keep me alive.
They returned to their horses, I followed after, Their leader turned to me with a grim expression. "follow prince," he was mocking me just by the way he said prince I could tell. They rode horses the amount I couldn't count, luckily I wasn't the only one walking from what I could hear the Dothraki had recently sold a bunch of slaves in return for horses. The Slaves they had kept would be used for their enjoyment, there weren't many male slaves but I guess they couldn't expect women to do all the work.
Nightfall had arrived before I even knew, the walking was tough but I quickly noticed stopping could only lead to two things. One of the riders would whip the person who stopped or he could kill them. I powered through and luckily we were stopping for the night, the Dothraki were a boisterous group. The moment they stopped alcohol was called out and campfires were lit. A slave soon appeared before me he led me to the biggest tent of the group I quickly found out it belonged to the Dothraki Leader.
I stood before him as he sat in his chair beside him was a beautiful woman with long black hair, her skin was copper tones with dark almond-colored eyes. The Leader seemed to notice my gaze as he grinned I had seen that grin earlier and it led to the death of one of my kidnappers. Besides her, I noticed someone else he had to be 7 or 8 at best but I would recognize him from anywhere. A young Khal Drogo stood in the tent he looked at me with curiosity, I could only guess the leader sitting before me was his father which meant he was, in fact, a Khal. To my sides set a bunch of Dothraki I could only guess they were his blood riders, they focused on the drinks and women barely paying me any attention.
The Khal began to speak in Dothraki he spoke to me once he stopped the slave from earlier began to speak in a language I could understand.
"The Dothraki don't believe in selling or buying, Khal Bharbo has saved your life he expects you to return the favor sometime in the future."
"Does he want me to save his life?" I knew that wasn't what he wanted but I didn't really understand how did he expect me to repay him he was the leader of the Dothraki what could I possibly do to help him.
"He doesn't want you to save his life, the Dothraki sometimes travel to the free cities when they do they give slaves to the slavers and in return, the slavers give them horses. That's a trade but sometimes they give them slaves and take nothing in return but they eventually expect a gift in return do you understand now?" The slave smiled while looking towards me.
"I understand," I was sure I would eventually be able to gift the Khal something if not him then at the very least the Dothraki.
The Khal nodded before returning to the festivities, "Come I'll lead you to your tent." I followed the slave as we walked through the crowds of people, the Tent prepared for me happened to be close by.
It was a small tent and the Dothraki didn't seem to question my age, anywhere else it would seem odd how I carried myself.
"My Name is Rabi, the Khal as assigned me as not only your guard but as a translator. I'm to teach you the Dothraki language if you wish to learn it."
Now I realize why he had been looking at me like that earlier to him I was basically a chance at a free meal, as long as I kept him around he wouldn't be treated nearly as bad as the other slaves.
"I wish to learn the Dothraki language," Of course I wished to learn it, living with these people wouldn't be easy they were savages. The more I understood about them the better chance I would have at surviving.
