~ Being the Decision Maker - 1 ~

Days had passed by after the incident with Jeha, yet despite the reprieve Sora still harbored the same feelings he had for the enemy as he did that day after his return to safety.

Which was, disgust and anger. Two negative feelings heightened to a maximum.

Sora did acknowledge his weakness when it came to letting go of incidences, which was absolutely irritating considering he was an adult from the province's standards. But any negative feeling, when once settled in his mind, never seemed to leave his vessel until he took on a cure for it.

"Your glare is scaring the ladies," Rizel huffed, almost fed up of his friend's frustration.

He hadn't been told of what happened in the fourth dorm when Sora made the visit, however it was easy to figure out the complexities that could have been involved in the entire mess which yes, he did believe was a mess. Because a beautiful day scholar getting friendly with an evening scholar was a laughable fantasy.

The reason why 99 percent of the population had no hopes for mending the bond.

Of course the newer generations were moderate enough to support healthy relationships without biases, yet the fault lied in the upbringing, where deeper malice was rooted into the hearts of the young since day one.

In work field, the professions which focused on battle intensive warrior division, their situation was a little more neutral, but even though, one wrong comment and the entire community would face its backlash.

"You should be more careful with how you manage your emotions Sora," Rizel tried to help, patting his friend with pity, successfully hiding the ugly angry lines on his forehead that would distort his public image.

"If I see him one more time, I will puke."

Rizel was slightly baffled with the intense judgement, which Sora rarely exhibited to anyone. "What happened, maybe I can help?"

"You can't, because all I seem to think of is murder."

What Rizel couldn't know was the prudish history of Sora, where he was too detached from people even when it came to love relationships. As far as he remembered, he hadn't even kissed before, which was so rudely done instead by his enemy.

He felt cheated, and that was an understatement.

"Rizel," a deep voice came not from far and both Rizel and Sora turned to see who it was.

They were surprised to notice the appearance of Quirsay, the girl tasked this year to organize the competition, she was their senior by three years. They hadn't expected for her to show up this soon, but considering the timing of the competition this year, they were needed to participate in the practice right away.

"Hello Senior Quirsay, how have you been?" Rizel asked gently, making the atmosphere comfortable for a talk.

"I am good, I just wanted to see you for you told me you were interested in the competition?" she asked fondly, since her and Rizel were close friends outside of academic surroundings.

She was a blonde with light highlights, and her heritage of being a mage was clearly visible through the discolored eyes that looked like faded white. Only mages had such peculiar features, marking them in the crowd, easy to pick.

"I am not the only one curious though, President Sora also showed his interest." Rizel pointed towards Sora because he could understand that the senior had no idea how the president looked like, because he was aware that she had been on a leave period for a long while due to some mishap at home and had returned after quite a days of count.

"President Sora?" she blinked, suddenly eager to see the man. "I have heard a lot about you president, to have snatched such a revered position, you astound me."

Sora smiled, maintaining his professional decorum, "I hope you see me in a good light?"

She laughed, already impressed with the retort, "Yes of course, so I hear you want to participate in the competition?"

Sora nodded, "Yes, would it be possible."

"Why wouldn't it be," she grinned.
