Final Preparations

Currently, the whole Glory City was at its peak strength as in some hours the Horde will be reaching the city.

These few hours were simply torturous for the citizens of Glory City.

In Glory City's long history, there were many demon beast hordes at the size of tens of millions. Glory City was also nearly destroyed countless times.

Although Glory City managed to rebuild itself again, however, it's usually at the cost of heavy casualties with seven to eight deaths in every ten people.

They never thought that the demon beast horde would come again.

No one knows what the current situation will be like, the streets were filled with fully armed guards, rushing to various sides of the walls.

Seeing this hectic scene, the citizens remained in their houses with their lights lit up.

In a household

"Mummy, will the demon beast horde come?" a little girl wearing plain clothes blinked her eyes, staring at a woman beside her.

The woman had an ashen face, but still managed a forced smile and said, "Don't worry kid, the demon beast horde won't come. Daddy will chase the demon beast horde away!"

The woman stared into the dark sky outside. Her husband is among the city guards. She's not sure how many people will die in this fight, nor if he will return…...

Outside the City Wall,

Red and Co. were making the finishing touches in the trap system they had made.

All the beasts were currently making trenches and Steelix was making some pitfalls in front of the gates to be filled with wax and glue.

Torterra had made several vine traps which would help the beasts trip on the part where the explosives were kept.

Lugia and the flying legion was out in the sky scouting the beasts.

Every trap was laid properly and check twice by Red and Co.

The guards at the top of the city walls would look below occasionally. They couldn't figure out what Red and his group were planning.

There were huge beasts that were roaming in the area doing something or the other which they had never seen.

They can only see the two deep ravines being dug below the ground with a group of people pouring an oil-like liquid in afterward. The ground was also due to the point that it became uneven.

There was another group of people that we're doing something in the bamboo forest which no one knew where in the hell came from. Also those vines in the area looked super creepy. Thereafter, they poured something into the insides of the bamboo.

After the bamboo forest was a great swamp that stunk to high heaven, even they had trouble standing there.

Aside from that, a group of alchemists would rush here from everywhere. They were all holding buckets of a potion-like substance. This stuff was being poured in the pits past the swamp.

"What are these people doing?"

"Not sure, I have absolutely no idea!"

"What kind of potion is in those buckets? Why are they pouring those potions into the pits?"

"Who knows?!"

These city guards, who were guarding the wall, were curiously discussing the actions of Red and his bunch, temporarily dispersing the fear of the coming demon beast horde.

Time was ticking away as minute after minute went past, the fear within their hearts become even deeper because they know that the demon beast horde will soon arrive. Batches of experts from various families gathered on top of the wall, giving them a little peace of mind.

The mottled walls of Glory City appeared to be dark in the night, causing the hearts of the people to become inexplicably heavy.

There were countless amounts of predecessors dying on this wall. Every single piece of stone on the city wall was drenched in their blood.

For generations, they have been constantly in battle with the demon beasts. No one knows when the terrifying demon beast horde will arrive, no one knows if this very last piece of land that they are living on will be engulfed.

The thousand Fighters below the city wall were still busy. Although they don't have much strength, their efficiency is still very high. The completed situation is still better than what Red imagined and Red still arranged even a few more fortifications.

On the city wall, Ye Zong, Ye Xiu and many experts arrived. Seeing the upright standing and firm Ye Zong, their hearts inexplicably felt a lot more at ease. In their hearts, Ye Zong is a god-like existence.

At this current moment, Ye Zong, Chen Long, Ye Xiu and the rest were all looking at the pits and holes below the city wall that were filled with all kinds of liquid substances and were feeling curious.

The corner of Ye Xiu's eyes glanced at Chen Long, he shook his head and said, "I'm not too sure as well."

"Well even my son didn't say anything regarding this, It looks like we are the kids here who are gonna be stunned by their performance." Chen Long sighed.

"What is there about your son, my daughter didn't even return home to greet her father and look at the beasts! last time when I went to meet her, that huge Tortoise almost crushed me from its weight. Thank god the Ape came and saved me from that mountain of load", Huang Xiong said.

"Yeah Lord, those beasts are not something to mess with, Ninger had got into a fight with one of the elders when a plasma-like beast appeared and almost killed the elder if Ninger didn't step in", Xiao family lord said.

"Haha, those beasts are strong with rare bloodlines, even I don't mess with them after I fought with that Metal Dinosaur who didn't even budge from my attacks", Ye Xiu said.

"Looks like those are more of a Demon Horde than the one which is coming, wonder how many will be crushed below them." Ye Zong also laughed.

"Things won't be that easy also as there is an estimate that there will be 3 Legend rank Beasts in this Horde of a few million." Ye Zong then got serious and said.
