The Path

I woke up to soft purring and an even softer mane smothering me.

"Can't breath." i managed to stammer out.

i felt the mane twitch and wiggle a bit then sharp pain in my shoulder and ribs.

"Ow fuckin hell what the holy hell?" i gasped.

Liona rolled over sleep still in her eyes.

"Sorry jackson!" Liona gasped.

i stood up with a stretch and yawn.

"I guess its fine just less claws and smothering next time." i sighed.

Veronica shot me a dirty look.

"you're more then welcome as well Veronica. " I laughed.

Her faced turned red and she began packing up camp. I chuckled as I watched her scurrying around trying to avoid my gaze. Liona stood up and did a large stretch and began helping her clean up. as we finished packing Apollo showed up.

"We are ready to start moving m'lord. however I need additional troops to protect the slower villagers." he said with a bow

"From Dust we were borne from the earth we live and to the earth we shall return, I summon you Anubis The Damned." I put my hand forward.

A horrid scream erupted from the ground. a Skeleton hand began clawing its way out. followed by a jackals skull with red eyes glaring at me. with in seconds an old god from my world stood before me.

"You mortal have a lot of nerve summoning me to this backwater world." he growled.

"Shut it Anubis, not like we have anything better to do these days you know? so what we aren't the ones pulling the strings here." Apollo said slapping his back.

"What do you need mortal." He replied.

"Your to help Apollo protect the villagers on the way to the place I've chosen to settle down. The Ashen empires feeling froggy and what better to show them their place then the gods of death." I replied.

"Gods?" he asked with a quizzical tone.

"From the heavens you fell, to reap those who tested faith I summon you Thanatos The winged god of Death." I called to the sky.

The air turned still, clouds turned black. a loud raven scream and a thud as Thanatos landed in front of us. His scythe dripping a black goo. he stood up straight to reveal a rib cage covered in rags, his face a black skull. on his head a dark ring of bloody thornes.

"You called m'lord?" he asked in a chattery voice.

"Your to aide these guys from the sky. scout ahead and eliminate as many of the Ashen empire. Send a message to those who attack the weak." i said waving them off.

Apollo bowed and grabbed both Thanatos and Anubis by the wrists and poofed.

"Those were gods?? from where?" Veronica asked looking shocked.

"My world literaly has an infinite amount of gods to call upon. theres only two i will never call upon. the same ones put me here." i replied.

The two girls looked at each other then back at me.

"Lets head out ladies we have a journey to attend to." i said walking down the dirt path.

We chattd as we walked, they asked about where i came from, what it was like. i told them my world was dark and filled with hate. people killed for any reason. morales were rare and people like me were thrown to the side. This world was better in most ways i explained.

"What happened to your world that made it that way?" Liona asked.

"Things began as all do. then money came into it. Currupting many and destroying most. Money made greed and greed ruled my world." i replied with a shrug.

After that we walked in silence, the wind blowing around us. the air smelled different. As if the land itself was cursed. trees were dead, animals looked like they were starving. in the distance we could see the shambled village, or what was left of it. a few starving people littered the streets, that were regrown with weeds. buildings were in disrepair. Liona was trying to hold her tears back as we walked into the village. Several of the villagers remembered her and rushed to her.

"You've come back, our princess has returned!" The crowd began weakly cheering.

i looked around, there was much that needed to be done. first was food for these villagers.

"The one who makes things grow, to put food into our bellies, i summon thee upon my realm Demeter" i pointed to the ground.

Up sprang a thickly woman with curly red hair. her dress made from stalks. she twirled about and faced me.

"M'lord what is it that you need?" she asked in a sweet voice.

"We need crops my dear and the knowledge to make this place an agricultural boom." i said with a grin.

Her eyes flickered with excitement.

"Of course M'lord! you come with me." She said pulling on a thin Beast man.

He looked like a minitour from my worlds lore except a bit smaller.

Things were getting set up. i just needed to plan more.
