The Thunder Wolf Tribe

*Cavern of Unseen Shadows*

"I can't believe I'm stuck with that smelly snake," said the Titanic Hawk

"Did you ss-say ss-something about me, hee hee hee." Said a colossal crystal clear snake.

"I said we all know that you don't have a speech impediment, you smelly snake, now let's go, I wanna get this stupid mission over with already."

'Even though Mantis Strike is one of the cheapest skills in the store, it builds a solid foundation on control and precision,' said Chance thinking to himself.

When a Preying Mantis hunts, its' greatest weapon lies within its stealth and keen battle intuition, so to fully master this skill, one must master control, patience, and preception.

To practice control was simple for Chance; all he needed to do was punch a tree without obliterating it.

"Alright then, let's get started."

Walking over to a tree, Chance bent his hands and arms into a scythe-like shape, and then striking out, all he needed to do was touch the tree after going full throttle.

But all he ended up doing was making the tree yell, "TIMBER," well, at least he didn't need his ax anymore.

'Hey, what happened to the feather,' Chance thought aloud.

[The feather was stored in the System's storage, would the host wish to take it out.]

"I had a storage system this entire time!?"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Chance said in an accusing tone.

[The host never asked]

"Well, I know about it now, at least," Chance said while reminiscing about all those times he had to break his back to carry all those sticks.

Continuing with his training, due to his high level of intelligence, after only about two hours, Chance completely mastered control.

Going into the forest, Chance wanted to train his patience and preception. Still, after being unable to even find a single animal, for THREE HOURS, he decided to ask the System.

"Hey, why can't I find a single animal, it's a forest!" Chance exclaimed.

[It might be because of your aura]

"My aura? Never heard of it," Chance said plainly.

[An aura, is the unconscious release of mana, and because you haven't learned any magic so far, you haven't learned how to control your mana. For now, the System shall take over that responsibility, until the host learns how to do it by himself.]

[Commensing aura retention...]

'It doesn't feel like anything,' Chance thought to himself.

[Done]

"Alright then, let's try this again," Chance said with mild skepticism, but after looking for five minutes, he found an animal and stalked it until he felt that animal let down its' guard.

Leaping down from the tree he was squatting on, he obliterated the branch from the strength of his legs, and like death and his scythe, came down decapitated the poor animal.

[Level 1 Fork-Tree Deer killed]

Rewards

~ 5 XP

"What," learning that he could collect XP by killing things, made Chance happy.

Remembering that he laid a trap, Chance ran over to the trap at an astounding speed, where it would have taken him 30 minutes to get there, only took 7 minutes.

Opening the grate, Chance looked inside, and there sat a glowing rabbit calmly nibbling on its' evil carrot.

When Chance went to grab it, it finally noticed his presence, and it zapped him with lightning. He didn't feel it though, but he was still quite shocked that a little animal like this could wield magic. Right before he was going to kill the animal, the System notified him of the approaching high-class animals.

[ 2 High-Class beings are approaching, they will arrive in 23 hrs and 14 min ]

Hearing this, Chance knew that it was time to change locations. Running back to his campsite, he decided that he was going to travel to the mountains. The mountains will have plenty of resources and lots of places to hide.

When Chance got back, he stuck his hatchet, the alcove thingy, and some wood and twine in the System's storage space and began his hike up the river.

*3 hrs later*

The terrain slowly turned into a swampy marsh, and the once dry earth turned into a muddy mess that was difficult to pass through. The once tamed trees grew to an unimaginable size, blocking all the light, as he neared the base of the mountains.

When the terrain turned into a swamp, five Stolu soldiers suddenly jumped out of the water.

"Obolu leckea," the Stolu in the middle yelled.

"Hey System, any way you could help me out," said Chance in a panicked tone.

[Beginning Translation program...]

"Hey, did you me, I said leave," the one in the middle yelled again.

"Hey listen, I just have to cross this mountain, and I'll be on my way," Chance said, with a relax my dude tone.

"Turn back, no one, excepted the tribesmen of The Thunder Wolf Tribe are allowed in its' borders," said the Stolu on the left of the middle one.

"Sorry about this," Chance said in a tone of apology.

'Bang'

Chance launched towards the five Stolu, and in a blink of an eye, all five of the Stolu groaning in pain. Chance didn't kill them because he didn't want a horde of angry Stolu chasing after him.

Quickly fastening a raft together from the wood, using the lumber and twine, Chance grabbed a random stick off the ground and set off towards the mountains.

While traveling on the raft, Chance took this time to cultivate.

This time it was different, he could feel the base particles slowly forming within him, and the elemental particles in the air.

Breathing in a little, Chance captured a few elemental particles in the air. Then choosing particle he wanted, he expelled the rest and started to study its' properties.

The particle felt

It felt cold.

"Stop there," someone said as hundreds of Stolu appeared on the shore.

The person who said that stood in the middle of the wall of Stolu. He looked like a Stolu that was on steroids.

"I'm just trying to get through your mountain, sir. I mean you no harm," Chance said while doing the Spock hand sign.

"You mean no harm? Look what you did to five of our border guards," said the hulky Stolu.

"System can you bring his statistics," Chance said in English.

"What did you say?" The Tribal leader said in confusion.

- [Mahalo's Statistics]

~ Strength: 4.2

~ Agility: 6.9

~ Stamina: 6.5

~ Mana: 2.6

~ Intelligence: 1.1

~ Special: Burst (doubles your speed for a split second, can only be used once a day

"I said why don't we fight, and if I win, I can freely walk through your territory," Chance said smugly, knowing that his stats were almost two times higher than that of... what's his name

"I'm sorry..." Chance said, cutting Hulky Stolu off. "No, no, you," seeing that he was trying to give Chance to talk.

"Alright then, what's in it for us?" The Hulky Stolu said, but he was depressed that Chance ruined his moment.

"Uhmmm, oh, I'll turn back immediately and teach you a mysterious killing technique." Said Chance

[Mission: Defeat Mahalo in ritual combat]

- Mission requirements: defeat Mahalo and walk through the territory of The Thunder Wolf Tribe - - Rewards:

~ 70XP

~ 30 CC

~ Firebolt (Spell)

"Then let's start," said Mahalo.

Coming up onto dry land, Chance follows the others to the fighting rink, their tribe was more advanced than Chance first thought initially. Their buildings and roads were made out of stone, like the Aztecs, from what he could tell, they had a sewage system and plumbing.

As he walked closer towards the center of the city, he noticed a giant coliseum. The coliseum had arches like that of the Romans and was as large as two football fields.

Walking into the coliseum, he found the underground section that leads to the field. He went and sat on a bench, waiting for the doors to open up.

Chance heard the banging of drums and gongs, he wonder what exactly was going on outside, but he decided to wait patiently even though he started to get a sense of forbidding

The drums started to get louder and what sounded like ritual songs were being sung. The song soon reached its climax and suddenly stopped, as soon as it stopped the doors started to open.

When Chance stepped through the door, he saw a three cauldron filled to the brim with blood and one last that had no blood in it, on the opposite side he saw Mahalo and forty other men.

"Welcome to your end, nanoao," Mahalo said with a voice of bloodlust.
