Dungeon (2)

'Boom'

A loud explosion occurred when the missile struck the ground, and the shards from the rocket went flying. The shards ended up finding targets, the goblins, and they instantly froze into frozen statues.

The goblins did deserve it, though, considering that they were stalking Chance.

Knowing that they couldn't face him, the goblins backed off and waited for reinforcements.

Seeing the situation before him, Chance wondered what the heck this place was.

Walking up to the wall, with the words on it, Chance asked the System to translate.

"Hey, System, do you mind?"

[No problem, host]

'The System has an interesting character,' Chance thought, 'sometimes it can act as a living person, and other times, it works like a robot.'

[Welcome to the dungeon. With your death, I shall grow. Your blood will be my fertilizer, and your bones will be the support of which I shall improve. Your only chance of survival is to clear the dungeon. Good luck.]

"..."

"HAHAHA, why would you ever say anything so embarrassing," Chance said, laughing in between breathes.

In response, the dungeon slammed closed the entrance, like a spoiled child slamming the door when it didn't get the toy it wanted.

'ha ha ha..." Calming down from his hysteria, Chance asked the System what a dungeon was.

[A dungeon is a way the world's will connects to the creatures living in it. A dungeon will include a variety of traps and dangers, but where there is a risk, there is a reward. There will be a variety of rare resources and ways of training skills. Typically normal dungeons will go down for about twenty levels, but higher level dungeons can go up to 200 levels.]

"Well, what does the dungeon mean when it says that I'll be the support that the dungeon grows upon, does that mean that I can't leave?" Chance asked.

[Typically speaking, if a person dies, then their mana/life force will belong to the dungeon, but you can leave any time you want, this dungeon's just weird.]

Hearing this, Chance started to laugh hysterically again, and after a couple of minutes, he finally wiped away the tears.

He wasn't nervous; it's not like anything on this floor could threaten him. Those goblin things only had the strength of about 1-2, and even the hobgoblin only had the power of 4-6.

Sitting down again, Chance went and bought the Star-Moon Crossing Steps movement technique, Silent Hands, Flame Destruction, Basic medicine, Magical Crops Cultivation, and Cloth weaving.

The System, of course, asked him if he wanted to integrate the knowledge, and, of course, he said no, but the System never listens, so it went ahead and did it anyway.

[Commensing integration...]

"Ahhh," Chance screamed.

The goblins seeing that Chance was in a weakened position, rushed at him. There were over a hundred goblins and almost 20 hobgoblins, all running towards him, but they couldn't even scratch him. Chance's constitution was just too overwhelming.

Annoyed at their attempts at his life, Chance swiped his arm, and it was like a hurricane formed in the cave.

His arm literally broke through the sound barrier.

You have to know that to break past the sound barrier; one has to be traveling faster than 770 mph.

The goblins that were in his immediate vicinity turned into meat paste, and the ones one to fifteen feet away were cut half, and the rest flew away.

The typical Chance isn't so violent, he was an inventor, not a fighter, he loved helping people, but in his current state, he didn't feel like being benevolent.

That's why when Chance let the bunny go back with the whole trap thing; he couldn't kill such a cute little guy.

The surviving goblins and hobgoblins scampered back into the shadows and disappeared.

After the knowledge finished integrating, Chance Formed the arrays for the Eternal Glacier, Firebolt, and Flame destruction.

--------------------- You don't have to read this part. It is just details. ---------------------

The Eternal Glacier spell array had an arrowhead in the middle and a small circle of words surrounding it. Two semi-circles distanced about six inches away from each other, placed on either side of the arrowhead. In the very last row, there were eight small circles of words surrounding an arrowhead, which were facing inwards.

The Firebolt spell has a flame in the center and a circle around it, then another circle around that. Like a flower, it has four separate smaller arrays surround it, each with a lightning bolt surrounded in a circle.

The Flame Destruction spell had a sun in the center, like the ones you'd find in a child's drawing, then surrounding the sun, a square made out of the universal runic language. It had a circle touching all four points of the square, then surrounding the circle another square, with the circle touching the midpoints of the square.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All three spell arrays floated up to the sky, and for some reason, lines from the law of Eternal Frost connected with the Firebolt and Flame Destruction arrays.

When Chance opened his eyes, he wanted to test out the strength of his gains, not only the spells, so he ran to the door and tried out silent hands.

Yes, the name does sound like the skill of a pick-pocketer, but there are many other things that it can do too.

The silent hands' skill is one that teaches observation. To see where openings can and will be. By studying the weak points in structures, a mortal can completely demolish a building just by a flick.

Running up the door, Chance studies the door for almost five minutes before flicking right above the middle about nine inches to the right.

After a couple of seconds, the stone that compromised the door started to crumble away. Soon the entire door was gone, and all that was left was the rubble.

Walking outside, Chance finds a stick that he is going to use as a torch. Walking back towards the entrance, just as he is about to step back into the dungeon, it slams another stone door on him.

Infuriated by this stupid dungeon, Chance decides that he is going to try Flaming Destruction right now.

Walking back twenty-meters, Chance lifts his hand and sends mana threw the Flaming Destruction spell model. In less than a second, the spell is ready.

"You wanna try and kill how about I kill you first."

"HAHAHA, "Chance laughed maniacally.

[Poor dungeon, rest in pieces]

the System said in remorse.

A giant sun formed in front of the spell array, and with the clench of a fist, the Great Sun was off.

The air around the sun started to catch fire, and the ground under the sun began to become magma, as it moved towards the dungeon door, but what no one but the System anticipated, was the destruction that this spell would cause.

In the center of the sun, separated only by a thin layer of mana, a large pool of ice mana rested, waiting for the moment that the thin layer of mana disappeared.

The moment the sun touched the door, the mana layer cracked open, and ice mana reacted with the fire mana.

It was like an eternal silence would haunt the world for all of reality, but soon that eerie silence turned into a peal of roaring thunder.

It was like hell reached out from the depths and just tore out an entire chuck from a mountain.

The sky was painted a pure, blinding white that no creature in a one hundred-mile radius couldn't see, including the Crystal Snake and the Titanic Hawk.
