Chapter 5: On the Verge

Weeks passed and the situation slightly changed. Few examples include the quiz headed by the scary authoritarian Filipino teacher named Mr Paras teaching under the inspection of the principal. They're not entirely the worst.

The night before, Ricky had an unsettling dream that cemented his morals. He dreamt of the classroom in its typical chaotic state. He acted quick by picking up a girl and smashing her face on the wall. Another student was caught eating by Ricky and got his eye gouged with a fork. When the teachers and the principal came busting in through the door, Ricky explained, "I did it because you can't and aren't doing it." The teachers applauded him and the principal called him an enthusiast and a revolutionary disciplinarian.

That's what Ricky is obsessed of. He hated unruly students. He has been the most well-behaved student. He is now determined to implement what he saw in his dream, what he remembered in his training at home, and what he heard from the voice in his head. His eyes now glue onto the the company of girls who secretly use their phones during another class of Ms Paras.

Minutes later, while Ms Paras is still talking, he slammed his hands on the table and scolded loudly, "You insolent fools! Have you no respect to treat your social life more precious than education?" "Get lost, idiot!", answered Fritz angrily while rising from her seat. Ms Paras quickly went towards them and asked, "Mr Matyag, what commotion are you causing this time of the day?" "Maybe you should be asking them on what they're doing on their phones," replied Ricky. "No, we're not, Miss. I swear to you he was snitching on us for no reason," answered Fritz's seatmate.

"Okay enough of that," Ms Paras intervened. "We'll do a quick investigation to see if you are telling the truth." The investigation occurred and the teacher left to check the surveillance camera. The girls furiously avoided Ricky's stare. Meanwhile, the whole class beheld the scene with mockery while the class president, Joshua stood up and asked, "You really got nothing else to do? Why do you have to be a snitch?" "Say what you want to. But I have a duty since you never learn that you face consequences for what you do."
