A Better Tomorrow
"Let wait tomorrow for a better understanding the scale of the matter so go back first and we'll talk later, guys!!" Omar wrapped up the things and he gone back done w/ the group.
Coming back in the RV, Irene is sleeping in the master's bedroom and he chooses to be in the sofa bed. To sleep better, he played the usual music in his phone and he finally falls asleep.
Having staying up late, the smell of food wakes him and the sun was already up. He went first to the bathroom and cleans himself. Finish w/ the changing clothes and Omar was still thinking when to go out of the room.
"Please come out now, Omar oppa. Breakfast is ready!!" Irene shouted and knocks on the door.
"Two of us eat together? Aren't you gonna go back to family's unit? He opened the door, Irene followed him to the dining area and the atmosphere was kinda awkward.
"Ahm... the food's too much for us, let's have your family and the gang help us finished the food. Is that fine, Irene? Omar said.
"Nope!! Can you just eat the food I prepared for you?" Facing Irene's glaring eyes. He just shut up since Omar doesn't want her to be angry anymore.
"Okay, let's eat..." chugging down the food, he felt something weird but Omar can't waste the food.
"Is there something, Omar oppa?" Looking at the pale face of him, he took out a 50% healing potion and drank it all in one gulp.
"Tell me honestly, do you often cook at home or dormitory, Irene? He asked, while looking at full again health bar.
"Yah!! I cook quite often in our dorm, Omar oppa. "She said.
"You really cook? But why it taste strange? Did you misread a label in the kitchen cabinet? He asked, since it tastes different from what he used to eat at restaurants.
"I just used and follow what I saw in the internet, Omar oppa" she said.
"Can you show me how you cook it, Irene?" he asked.
In the kitchen, Irene showed how she cook the breakfast and looking at it closely. He didn't find any wrong w/the process, as she added her finishing touch and transfer it to a bowl.
"Wait! Stop it, Irene!!" examining the food, label of the spice and bowl. The mystery is finally resolved and the culprit is the unlabeled white stuff is sugar instead of msg.
"I thought this was the usual I used in cooking so just added it to taste better and not be bland." she said.
"It's fine, I'll write it down before going out. Let's have fried eggs and hotdogs for breakfast." he said.
"Okay, I'll practice cooking more w/ Omma later, Omar oppa!!" Irene said.
"That's better; I can be assured that you'll do better next time so let's eat." The two have fried eggs, hotdogs and hot cocoa for today.
After filling their stomachs, he cleaned the dishes and watch TV to see if there's any news overseas. Turning one channel to another is all the same from start to the end.
W/ nothing to see, he turned off the TV and saw Irene went out. Maybe she went to her family since she didn't come to their unit last after dinner.
Sitting under the sun, he saw to trucks w/ soldiers distributing leaflets and goods to each family. Omar received the paper but refused the supply since he has more than enough.
He'll distribute the supply to each member of the group tonight. According to the paper, able men and women needed to go to G Ball fields to officially get a task w/ in the garrison.
The US and South Korean army are planning to take over some districts to have a steady supply and weed out the burdens. He, Ben, Seok-woo, Sang-hwa plus the male idols are named as Team Reaper.
The 8 man team is finally formed and the task given them is to get as much food south of the garrison near the Loring village. According to the map, at least eight grocery stores and restaurants can be found.
While the girls and elders are assigned in the community center and around the village.
Each team has given a truck to load supplies in their assigned area to get supply. He gave the MP9-N to Seok-woo & MP5 Sang-hwa has a 1 000 bullets and help them familiar w/ it while Ben has 2 desert eagles.
The rest of the guys will do the hard labor while the four will secure the target and look out for any danger.
"Young guys must be patient until you' ready to have one while me and Ben are former member of Special Forces while Sang-hwa and Seok-woo have gun experience during military service.
Our firearms came from me coz the garrison can't armed all groups so I'll be giving one after you give enough confidence. I need the young guys' energy to move our supply while the armed group secures the target and security." Omar said.
"We're leaving in 5 minutes so get on the truck, guys!!" Ben said.
