Jade Skeleton

Shen Zhengqiu walked further into the room, and noticed that apart from the Skeleton, the set of table and chairs and a Flower, there were a few shelves which were mostly empty apart from a blanket of dust and a few loose books. The skeleton in front of her gave a somewhat threatening aura even though it's owner has long been dead, a slight green glow could be seen from the dust that covers it.

She wasn't quite interested in all of this dust, and to be completely honest she felt stifled and her lungs started to feel heavy. Looking around the room, Shen Zhengqiu made a firm decision in her mind even if her heart ached ever so slightly. She rummaged around in her robes until she grabbed a rough looking piece of paper with somewhat intricate markings on it.

This was a type of talisman she had made personally recently. This past year she has had not much to do as it was a hopeless situation trying to reach Master level when she has no ingredients to even use. Therefore she took up a few hobbies trying to find one that seems interesting and then eventually settled on Talisman Making. Talismans are quite popular in the Mortal Realm as people who do not do Martial Arts can still do certain things with the use of talismans, and quite a lot of them can be useful to those practitioners who have not yet gained their own Inner Qi. In this case, Shen Zhengqiu had made a talisman after quite a long time of reading and failures, but the result isn't exactly the best but is however still usable.

The [Cleaning Talisman] she made looked just slightly better than a child drawings and it certainly wouldn't have an audience if she were to sell it, perhaps some children may praise her 'artistic skills'. This type of talisman doesn't get categorised properly and would be regarded as 'Grade 0' because it is for more miscellaneous usage.

She eyed the talisman whilst trying to stifle the proud smile trying to surface on her lips. Rubbing a set of circular squiggly lines, the [Cleaning Talisman] went up with smoke that dissipated just as quickly as the talisman disappeared. A soft light was emitted and not long after, the room which seemed like a thriving community for dust had parts that you could almost see your reflection in it, if it weren't for the lack of light.

Breathing in deeply and smelling the air that feels as fresh as a spring's breeze, Shen Zhengqiu smiled contently. She first went over to the skeleton and leaned it backwards against the chair and observing it closely she noticed that it's bones seemed to be made out of jade and the attire definitely shows that it lived in a time far away from now. On his bony finger lay a ring that looked rather simple, it had a silver appearance and twisted around like roots then connecting together. A rather large moon shaped gem was inlaid in the middle of it which was coloured in a deep purple. Grabbing the ring off the finger, she decided to put it on her own.

A ring is better being used rather than on a dead body right?

Just after putting the ring on, a sharp pain ran from her finger straight to the core of her body. Her heart started beating wildly and she felt a burning pain spread across her back. She collapsed to the floor breathing heavily and then heard a faint voice inside her head.

"Sigh.. it's been so long that I cannot even muster up enough power to take over a new vessel" The voice sighed heavily and sounded defeated, "Hm? A Pure Yin Constitution? No wonder I couldn't take over your body, it would naturally reject my soul." When thinking of that, the voice seemed more resigned to it's fate.

Shen Zhengqiu felt heavy and numb all over whilst sweat dripped along her sides. When hearing that voice and what it said, she shivered at the thought of her almost losing her body to some old sounding man. After that thought she heard the voice chuckle to itself, almost like some strategist who has cornered his enemies.

"Since my spirit will just disperse in the end anyways, I might as well place my bets on this young woman" He muttered softly and a thought flashed through his mind, "Ah! She can use that as well, what a perfect fit!" His voice sounded derisive at the hope of the future.

Using the last dredges of his spirits he targeted this young girl in front of him, leaving some information just so she isn't lost. Feeling another sharp pain, Shen Zhengqiu couldn't take it anymore and passed out.

Waking up with a very groggy head, Shen Zhengqiu noticed that there were a few things that she didn't know previously inside her head. One thing she found out was actually about her ring, which is an interspatial ring with a space of around 500 cubic metres. But what is more special about the ring is that it signifies the Sect Master of the Heavenly Moon Palace.

The Heavenly Moon Palace was part of the 6 Grand Sects and was one of two in the Red Leaf Continent, the other sect within the Red Leaf Continent was called the Yin Valley Gate. The Heavenly Moon Palace trained in techniques bordered the demonic cultivation path and throughout its founding, it had refined techniques that could offer a safe path into demonic cultivation. Being a sect that strayed from righteousness, the rest of the Grand Sects apart from the Yin Valley Gate worked to exterminate the sect from the ground up, however the Sect Master at that time was never found. The Yin Valley Gate is a women-only sect purely because they focus on and cultivate Yin Techniques, and it currently ranks third in the 5 Grand Sects after the extermination of the Heavenly Moon Palace.

The sect found within the Blue Fire Continent is the Myriad Pavillion, which is a sect that mostly focuses on techniques like Alchemy, creating Weapons, Talismans etc. This sect is only ranked due to its usefulness and if it's wealth was to be counted, even the top two Grand sects would lose with theirs combined. The next sect would be Shaolin Temple which is a sect that focuses on Buddhism techniques and is found within the Yellow Springs Continent, however this ranks second to last as it is a male-only sect where hot-blooded youths would rather stay clear from.

In between the 3 continents is the Soaring Heavens Mountain Range that separates them from each other, and within this place is countless smaller sects, including the top 2 Grand Sects. The second Grand Sect is the Rising Sword sect that focuses on the path of the sword, this usually produces the most domineering Sword Cultivators and the only reason why it isn't ranked first would be it's unwavering focus on the sword. The first Grand Sect would be the Heavenly Mountain Sect which resided on the tallest mountain in the Soaring Heavens Mountain Range and is a sect that welcomes all apart from demonic cultivators and benefits from denser Spiritual Qi.
