Chapter 5: Look at the Good Deeds You Have Done

Ou Mingxuan raised his right index finger and placed it in front of Xia Yuxun's eyes to accuse her, "Look at the great job you've done yourself!"

"Err... this... What is this? A finger? A band-aid?" Xia Yuxun looked even more confused at his bandaged index finger.

"I'm hurt! You bit me! Each finger is connected to the heart! Do you know how much it hurts?" Ou Mingxuan looked at her with a pained expression, as if she'd committed a grave offense.

"No... Really? I've never heard I bite people when I'm drunk? I've always had a good drinking reputation..." She said the last part somewhat sheepishly.

"You have a good drinking reputation?" Ou Mingxuan raised an eyebrow, tone rising.

"Fine, I'm wrong, okay! What do you want me to do then!" Xia Yuxun asked in resignation, giving up all pretense.

"You bit me, you have to take responsibility!" Ou Mingxuan enunciated each word deliberately.

Just moments ago it was almost over, but now Xia Yuxun's world completely fell apart...

"Take responsibility? Are you... are you kidding me?" Xia Yuxun looked like she'd seen a ghost.

"Xia Yuxun, you're so bold, aren't you? What, you don't dare admit what you've done?" Ou Mingxuan suddenly leaned in.

"Who said I don't dare admit it! I'll take responsibility! Here, you take this!" Xia Yuxun, flustered with anger, thrust a finger in front of his eyes.

"What are you doing?" Ou Mingxuan leaned forward slightly to get a clear look at her pale, tender little finger.

"Bite you, of course! Didn't you say I have to take responsibility? You bite me back, and we're even!" Xia Yuxun huffed.

Ou Mingxuan looked at the little finger, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, "Who wants to bite you? You think I'm like you, born in the year of the dog! But... if it's biting somewhere else, I might consider it!"

After last night, he suddenly realized that Xia Yuxun was quite attractive.

Why did this girl always make herself look like an unbeatable ugly duckling when there's no such need?

"Ou Mingxuan! You're so shameless!" Xia Yuxun gathered the collar of her pajamas and, summoning her strength, broke free from the shackles of his arms and climbed out of bed.

Although she was forthright and careless like a boy, this position was getting too intimate. From a biological standpoint, she was still a woman, right?

At these words, Ou Mingxuan immediately stepped closer, eyebrows raised, "Who was it last night that clung to me refusing to let go, insisting on dragging me back to be her 'captive' husband?"

Inside, Xia Yuxun was a tumult of waves. My gosh! I was actually insisting on dragging my senior to be a 'captive' husband! Xia Yuxun, you're too awesome!

"Who pinned me down on the bed, wouldn't let me leave, and forced me to sleep beside her?" Ou Mingxuan continued to close in.

Xia Yuxun started to falter, stumbling backward.

"Who was it that wouldn't let go of me all night, leaving me covered in her drool?" They were now so close their heads touched.

Whimpering, she felt she could no longer face anyone!

"So, who really has no shame, Xia Yuxun?" Ou Mingxuan deliberately drew out her name.

"It's me! It's me! It's all me! I'm the one with no shame! Senior, I'm wrong, okay? What do you want from me?"

Oh heavens, back in college, this guy was the champion debater, always leaving his opponents in tears. She must have been kicked in the head by a donkey today to even try and challenge him! It was deserved even if she died for it!

Why were all the men she met such sharp-tongued devils? She was like a poor little bunny constantly thrown into a pack of wolves.

Ou Mingxuan nearly broke character and laughed out loud watching her like that.

The more he looked at her, the cuter she seemed.

He had always been indifferent toward love, adopting a casual, let's-see-how-it-goes attitude, never believing in it, nor giving it his true heart. And Xia Yuxun was the kind of androgynous, cheerful girl, plus she always had her childhood sweetheart whom she was in love with.

So, the two hit it off.

Over the three years of college, although they were very close, he always regarded her as a sister, never as a woman. Otherwise, if anything was meant to happen, it would have happened a long time ago.

He thought it would always be like this, but now, overnight, it seemed as though something inadvertently changed.

The surge of anger he felt when seeing her heartbroken and getting drunk over Leng Sichen last night even scared himself.

Could he really still see her just as a sister?
