A Debate

Tang Yurou ran toward Tang Xinyan in tears, and questioned her with anger in her voice, "Xinyan, how dare you!"

Tang Xinyan heard the sounds of high-heels clicking outside the toilet and figured out Tang Yurou's true intention immediately. She slightly raised her beautiful brows and taunted her, "Don't dig a hole for yourself."

Tang Yurou spoke indignantly while wiping away her tears, "I know that I'm not related by blood to the Tang family, and that you have despised me ever since we were kids! But you can't bully me wherever I go, right? You are afraid that you would lose to me, so you tore my dress and want me to embarrass myself in front of others. Tang Xinyan, how can you possibly be that mean? Even if I'm adopted, I'm still your elder sister!"

Mrs. Hou was already at the door of the washroom. She saw the incident and replied in a frosty tone, "What happened?"

Tang Yurou heard Mrs. Hou's voice. She turned around with tears streaming down her face. "Mrs. Hou! No… Nothing, my sister and I were having a small argument, I'm sorry for behaving this way."

From what she knew, Mrs. Hou was a successful woman with a great sense of justice and would stand up for others. She despised anyone who tried to bully the vulnerable ones.

Tang Yurou believed that she could earn her sympathy if she pretended to be soft and innocent.

Tang Yurou deliberately withheld the reason why they were arguing. She wanted to evoke Mrs. Hou's curiosity and sense of justice. Mrs. Hou furrowed her brows and squinted at Tang Xinyan who was silent the whole time.

Tang Xinyan's charming face was plastered with a faint smile. If you look at her carefully, she was actually sneering.

She put down the script and the black gel pen that she was holding in her hands, and walked toward Mrs. Hou. She spoke in a gentle tone, "Mrs. Hou, Tang Yurou said that I tore her dress because I wanted her to embarrass herself. Since Mrs. Hou is here, may I ask for your assistance to be the judge of this situation? I believe Mrs. Hou is familiar with both of our acting skills, would it affect me even if she embarrassed herself? Also, although she's legally my sister, what has she ever done that has made her worthy of that title? Before I quit the industry, she took my limelight, resources and my advertisement contracts. She has even backbitten about me in the entertainment circle. Did I say anything about what she's done?"

Tang Xinyan was not a fan of debating. If it were not because Tang Yurou kept getting on her nerves, she would not even be bothered.

Tang Yurou was not able to interrupt when Tang Xinyan was speaking, she could only cry.

In terms of aura, the glamorous and charming Tang Xinyan was well above Tang Yurou.

Mrs. Hou did not know much about the Tang sisters, but she did hear some rumours about them. A year ago, Tang Xinyan was chosen as the lead actress of a local film but was replaced by Tang Yurou in the end. Also, there were two companies who changed their ambassadors from Tang Xinyan to Tang Yurou.

However, not long after, one of them quit the industry, and another one went overseas. Both of them vanished from the entertainment industry for half a year.

Both of them wanted to use this legendary movie to kick-start their comeback!

"Xinyan, you have misunderstood me, the reason why both the movie director and the companies' owners decided to employ me at the last minute was because you seduced them. If it wasn't for that reason, why were their spouses so eager to fire you?"

Tang Yurou wanted to hint something with that sentence. Although Mrs. Hou had a sense of justice, she was still a woman. Which woman on earth was not afraid of a beautiful lady seducing their husband?

Mrs. Hou's expression shifted slightly. Her gaze on Tang Xinyan became more judgemental and complicated.

Tang Xinyan's heart shrank and both of her hands were clenched into fists. She was stunned for a few seconds, then she slightly curved up her lips and said, "Mrs. Hou, how can we simply believe someone who slanders others with a mouth filled with lies? Didn't she just say that I tore her dress? I can prove that I didn't do that!"
