The Mission: Part 3/3

There was a slight pause when they had heard me say that, then their whole group started laughing like it was the funniest joke which they had ever heard.

As stood there laughing, I still had the same placid expression on my face.

After about a minute or so they realized that my expression was about the same throughout the whole experience. "We're giving you one last chance here before it gets ugly. Either give us the girl or you're going to be the next one in that wheelchair." One of them said, tired of the stifling silence.

I then smiled and said "Why don't I give you another chance, before you end up in a worse state than your buddies in jail".

After I mentioned that his face went red with anger. Seeing that, one of the other ones rushed up to me barreling his fist towards my face.

I quickly dodged the fist and then he paused for a moment and then fell towards the ground, his head rolling ever so slowly away from his neck.

Everyone then noticed that there was a Scythe in my right hand and that it had a bit of blood, but was disappearing ever so slowly before their eyes almost like the Scythe was digesting the blood for nutrients.

Their faces went pale at the sight of this as they had seen some gruesome stuff, but this was top level as they had never seen a scene like this one.

The silence stifled the air and then Jessica started letting out coughing sounds, I had injected her with some more drugs to make her sleep, as I didn't want any questions when getting in the Uber.

"Why don't I finish this up here and now?" I said while walking towards them with the Scythe in my right hand, it had shrunk to the size of an ordinary Scythe as the sight of the original was just too big to carry on its own without using Qi to stimulate my muscles.

Their faces went to an ashy white color as they started backing up. "S...S...Stay away from us." One of them said while practically walking backwards now.

"Lets run and if one escapes then they will be the ones to get revenge or live out their lives." One said while turning around and breaking out into a sprint and leaving his companions behind.

Before he could get to the stairwell, there came a slight sound.

SHENG.

Before his brain could register that sound his head came toppling towards the ground. "Why is the ground getting closer and closer?" was his last thought before he died.

Seeing the state that their companion was in they all started to break out into a sprint, each running in different directions. Some were trying to hide behind cars so that I wouldn't see them.

But no matter where they went their head was severed by the Scythe. It appeared out of thin air and had disappeared at the same time, leaving a headless corpse to topple to the ground, lifeless.

After that the Uber arrived, but I had cleaned up a bit before he arrived so that he wouldn't call the police. The bodies were just dumped off of the side of the car park so that they would leave no evidence.

I got the Scythe to absorb all of the blood on the ground and the surrounding vehicles as well. There was still about 1 minute till the blackout as this process took about three to four minutes of time.

After getting in the Uber, I went through Jessica's purse and then found her residence location.

After getting dropped off by the Uber I looked at the residence and the surroundings. It was pretty secluded out in the boondocks and there was about a 5-minute drive towards the nearest neighbor's house.

It was a two-story house and there were no cars in the front so I assumed that there was nobody in the house, I also checked the garage just in case and found no car in it as well. I'm guessing that her car was in the shop or something.

After getting in the house from the garage entrance I had noticed that there was no alarm on the house, as she had probably thought that she was safe out in a secluded area of the neighborhood.
