Through conversating with Samantha, I learned that there were a few gangs in the city that liked to hide in the shadows to avoid prying eyes.
They had businesses in a lot of markets on the streets and the black market as well. I also learned the people that spied on the gangs were reclusive and could be after either their businesses and money.
Nobody knows what their title is as not one person had seen them before or even if they were real as they hadn't appeared in years.
I presume that a lot of cops were under the payroll of the gangs, which is how they were able to stay active and not get caught doing illegal business.
"Where are you going to sleep tonight?" I asked.
"I hadn't thought about it." she said while looking downtrodden at the thought of the gangsters coming back to attack her again.
"You can stay here tonight but you have to pay towards the bill for a few days if you want to stay here tonight." He said.
"Alright, but I want to sleep on the bed the next few nights and you can sleep somewhere else."
"Sure thing."
After conversing with Samantha he got up and walked out, leaving her stunned at his straightforwardness. Her face then started to turn a shade of red as she started to get annoyed at how he completely overlooked her.
"Thankfully I won't have to worry about finding another residency for at least a few more days." He thought while going to get something to eat at a vending machine.
If she could hear his thoughts she would probably throw a tantrum.
After grabbing a bite to eat he decided to head back to the room and cultivate before sleeping for a few hours.
As he opened the door to the room he heard the running water of the shower. She was probably tired after the day she had and just decided to take a shower to relax.
He shrugged his shoulder and sat at the desk and got on his laptop to continue whatever he was doing before she interrupted him.
