 A glorious reign over the realm only to be hunted, a glorious return only to be haunted. Avery Hall had a fair share of experience when it came to the many layers of humanity. 
 


With the death of our real world in the future, everyone gets digitized and becomes... well, Immortal. To a degree.

But how to do you spend immortality?

Video Games... of course, with everything being digital... and with Hyper Advanced A.I... it's possible to create games that simulate what reality used to be like.

 Our story takes place in Starduster MMO, a fantasy based MMO game where the game's story is run mainly by player choice, with any choice being an important factor into anything.

Our main point of view is Avery Hall, who specializes in the Sniper Class, a long range damage class that uses a Rifle. He is quite efficient at making use of all he has available, and is kind of a jerk.

Avery also has been preventing the Progress of the game by holding on to a Key Artifact, other players find out about this and after a while decide they don't want him around anymore.

 While normally death lowers levels... his reputation is too low within the game and he gets banned, luckily he has a second account, as most V.I.P. users in the world do...

 Avery, swears to return the status quo, but maybe he'll be good this time... hopefully, habits take a long time to stop.

 So we join Avery's journey to get back to the top, just make sure he doesn't forget to properly transfer accounts.

 That means... I can look through the forums real quick and get some insight on future goals... first off,  magic. According to user " Qui ",  a pure sorcerer,  Ritual spell casting can be done with ritual circles that can be on any surface...


       From what the Tutorial tells me about ritual magic,  its supposedly the strongest kind... but isn't very mobile and such,  so maybe I can make something with the ability to mobilise the circles.


    Circle magic... looks like a new way to crate multiple magic circles at once has been made, but it is only effective at lower levels.


 Chant magic... looks like nothing has changed with that,  people seem to avoid chant magic for some reason.


      Hey,  system... while I'm here,  can I get some temporary material to practice alchemy and such with?

 Alright,  let's try out that ritual thing...


    I'll just make a thin sheet of metal, and while referencing a strong flame type ritual I begin carving the surface of the sheet... after finishing,  I was given a prompt to activate it... so,  I pointed it outwards in the lukewarm abyss I'm currently attending.


    The results were... weird,  it looks like the ritual produced similar level of magic power but most of it was translated into refinement of the spell's control rather than full power... meaning its less powerful but more precise. 


So,  as everything I do... let's fuck around and find out.


     Using the ritual,  the metal didn't seem to have much disturbance or mal purposes... and the ritual itself still seems functional, I was of the impression ritual magic was one time use... but I guess that's wrong. 


 So,  let's staple a bunch of these ritual plates together to form... maybe a book or something? A metal catalogue of different spells... all available at your fingertips.

  Neat... but it turned out to become a normal spell book,  albeit with the bound spells as a unique feature... I wonder what would happen should I stack the rituals...  maybe even add some magic crystals?  


      Oh yeah,  speaking of magic crystals... I can remotely operate them with Syn,  so I could try and create something with that... like,  maybe a flying canon that fires lasers or something? That would be sick.


  I got time,  so maybe I'll experiment with that... first I'll morph some metal into a cannon like shape... can I borrow some magic crystals system?


     Alright... I will be prepared this time,  and will not jump into a random worms mouth!
