 A glorious reign over the realm only to be hunted, a glorious return only to be haunted. Avery Hall had a fair share of experience when it came to the many layers of humanity. 
 


With the death of our real world in the future, everyone gets digitized and becomes... well, Immortal. To a degree.

But how to do you spend immortality?

Video Games... of course, with everything being digital... and with Hyper Advanced A.I... it's possible to create games that simulate what reality used to be like.

 Our story takes place in Starduster MMO, a fantasy based MMO game where the game's story is run mainly by player choice, with any choice being an important factor into anything.

Our main point of view is Avery Hall, who specializes in the Sniper Class, a long range damage class that uses a Rifle. He is quite efficient at making use of all he has available, and is kind of a jerk.

Avery also has been preventing the Progress of the game by holding on to a Key Artifact, other players find out about this and after a while decide they don't want him around anymore.

 While normally death lowers levels... his reputation is too low within the game and he gets banned, luckily he has a second account, as most V.I.P. users in the world do...

 Avery, swears to return the status quo, but maybe he'll be good this time... hopefully, habits take a long time to stop.

 So we join Avery's journey to get back to the top, just make sure he doesn't forget to properly transfer accounts.

StarDuster - Glory of the Umbral Avenger

         The Items within my hands turned to dust and swirled around my head, crossing in a blaze of voracity... it stabbed with a sharp ring against my head, and my mind filled with images of many things...


       My mind became clearer, and my thoughts sharper. 


     My eyes were filled with the stabbing pain of a million mails, and I saw numerous ones and zeros... floating endlessly around every object, and throughout the air. My limbs buckled,  and became sore like I've run a year without stop... I stood up with greater force, and adjusted instantly to whatever laid within me. 


       My heart burned with sorrow, its pain wasn't like other pains reasonably allowed to exist... it was a pain that should of come to be, one beyond anything I could comprehensively detail.


    Then, like a soothing sway... all the pain disappeared,  I looked at my hands... they were scourged and scared with alchemical circles, and as I gazed upon the mirror like water and saw my eyes were now completely black. Six small wings accompanied my back, and multiple  broken black horns floated around my head.


        I was taller, faster, and smarter.


      I reached into my inventory, and pulled my items out of their slots. My Spear was now larger, tipped in gold and frost... my shield was similarly changed, but it wasn't until I picked up Cobalt's book was I alerted by the System.
