Take me!

Emotional episode aside it's time to... wait actually, I take that back. That wasn't an ' Episode ' I just got a bit sad. Now the whole ' Where is she? ' bit was an episode, luckily I seem to be getting a lot more mentally stable and capable.

Now, onto what I was going to say earlier. I'm going to attempt and get a few magic altercations, like how Feather Storm is a altercation of Storm magic or Blossom for Nature, I want one for Blood magic and maybe ice magic... and I don't think there will ever be one for Alchemy because it's too weird. The process will be difficult, as I really just have to throw darts on a board... like, how the fuck where mages supposed to learn that Harpies grant access to a variation on storm magic.

1) You nearly never see a Harpy

2) Most people wouldn't know altercations exist

3) They are usually hostile and wont give you the magic

Those are the reasons why it is bullshit that harpies have the ability to just give me that sort of power, even if it's only slightly better then normal storm magic... it's still an improvement to an already complex and strong magic type! Not nearly as powerful as fire, or as useful utility wise as blood... but it's probably one of the best for wide area effect damage.

There must be an easier way to get these kinds of magic... there is some sort of condition that makes them different from normal magic right? Mixing different circles usually results in a mixture of the two, but not in the way that type of magic does... and I wonder, is it possible to create unique variations at will? For example, if I manage to create a magic type that is a mixture of blood and water and it doesn't count as a fused magic circle... then will that magic be considered one of those special type?

I don't think I'll be able to do this myself, not even with scarab... it's just too complicated of a formula to accomplish, a math problem I cannot solve without a calculator. My best bet is likely to recruit the assistance of Anise, Scarab, Syn, Melody, and finally Luriel. All of the best mages I have available as well as the computers... if anyone can make a special kind of a magic, it's this group.

With the enlisted help of my allies... and Tungsten who showed up for no reason... we gathered in a large structure.

- " I haven't seen this place just yet, is this some sort of testing facility? "

Anise - " Precisely. I don't usually need it for small experiments, but this isn't a small one. "

Scarab - " >>> I quite enjoy this place! The walls seem greatly reinforced with magic metal, and it is very nice looking overall! "

Tungston - " It's just a big box, granted that box is surrounded by many other boxes... but still. "

- " Well, it would make it easier to rebuild in the case we destroy it. "

Melody - " True! That would be a little scary, but to be honest I'm a little excited! "

Luriel - " What are we here for again? "

- " Well, it's a bit complicated. I'll have to tell you inside. "

Luriel - " That's not helpful, but whatever. "

Anise - " I can tell though, if he brought all of us here together then I can assure you it's something ridiculous. "

Melody - " Duh! The problem is he only said it was something he needed all of us Magic users. "

Syn - " }{}{ Then why is Tungsten here? She is only a Sniper. }{}{ "

Tungston - " Rude! I'm a very capable mage! "

Syn - " }{}{ You can barely cast level 2 spells. }{}{ "

Tungston - " Duh! I'm not a caster or Cobalt, but it doesn't matter... I have a Mana Core! "

We entered the building as we continued our conversations, passing through many checkpoints and air locks we eventually made it to a large room... just the perfect size.

- " Alright, now that we are here it's time to spill the tea... would you mind Scarab? "

Scarab - " >>> No Problem! Prior to two days ago, it was deemed that all forms of magic beyond what is naturally attainable... such as Blossom magic or Abyss magic, were only available through specific quests or events. However, it was shown that such previous conclusion wasn't the case. We discovered that the species ' Harpies ' have access to unique magic ' Feather Storm ', this implies that such magic can be gathered outside of quests via biological factors or even artificially recreated. <<< "

Anise - " And to think, Cobalt was messing around with harpies. "

- " That implication wasn't intended nor true. "

Anise - " Truly. "

Tungston - " So, what do we do? "

- " The scientific method, of course. "

Scarab - " That means, Fuck around and find out! "

- " Thanks... so, yeah. That is basically our goal today, but we do have an outline on what we need to do. "

Anise - " That is...? "

- " When beginning my research on making mithril I discovered that my blossom magic is has a large amount of nature mana, but with trace amounts of other variations of mana. So, likely we can formulate special magic just by forcing different pure mana sources into a single spell circle, the problem is we won't know if it doesn't work until we make every single possible combination of mana with every single possible combination of the amounts of the varying types of mana. "

Tungston - " I haven't a fucking clue on what language you just spoke there but it sounds really cool and I want to do it. "

Anise - " Likewise. "

Luriel - " This sounds like it will be a bitch, but I'm in. "

Melody - " I'm not sure this will end up well, but if it does then we will garner a huge advantage in the war. Let's start. "

On my mark, begin!
