Chapter 12 – The First Day

After the examination exam, Alan's name was a hot topic all over the academy. Both teachers and students were talking about Alan.

"Did you hear about the examination exam yesterday? There was someone crushed all the ranking and became first in every test."

"Yes, that someone was Alan Snow. I heard the Snow goddesses called him 'big brother.'"

"Big brother? I never know about them having a big brother, why he never shows up?"

"He did, but that was ten years ago."

They were gossiping nonstop.

Some of them did not care about at all. Even though Alan's results showed his enormous talent, it was only an aptitude test. Alan's actual strength may not be as strong as theirs.

In a big fancy room, Alan and Erica were sleeping together on a huge bed. He was exhausted. Yesterday, he accompanied the girls shopping for the rest of the day. Although it was tiring, Alan enjoyed spending time with them.

Suddenly, someone entered the room. It was Mary. Alan, Erica, and his sisters shared the same place. The Snow family have a villa for the girls, it was big, so it was easy to prepare a room for Alan and Erica.

"Big Brother! It's late already. Today is your first day. You cannot be late." Mary said.

"Hmm? How come, my lady, can sleep with you, and we can't?" Alice snapped out.

Yesterday, Alan was so tired and wanted to sleep alone. The girls were begging to sleep together, but he rejected it, but somehow, Erica managed to sneak in.

Alan was still sleepy, "Argh…you guys are so noisy, I know, you guys go first." He muttered.

"Humph! Big brother, I don't want to talk to you anymore!" Mary angrily said.

"Let's go, Mary!" Alice stomped her feet while walking.

The girls were sulky.

Alan ignored them and continued to sleep.

Alan's class was the same as his sisters. In the academy, age was something trivial. What they were looking for is the student's ability. As for Alan, it was quite easy for the academy on which class to put him.

The class that Alan was assigned to was full of monstrous talents. Some of them were elites from various family, even though they were not as powerful as the Snow, they were still nobles. As for students like John Pride, they were in the class only because of their strength.

The classroom looked similar to a seminar room in a university. It was massive, and there were hundreds of students in one class.

In the class, there was a row of seats that no one dared to sit on. That was because no one dared to sit beside the Student's President, Jessica Hills. Once, there was a man sat beside her and was beaten up.

As for Tracy and Alan's sisters, even though they had no problem sitting with Jessica, they avoided it because they can't focus in class. People were always staring at them as if they were in a showroom.

"Mary, big brother is late!" Alice angrily said.

"Yeah, I know, I forgot that big brother was a lazy bum, I thought he had changed but no, still lazy like a sloth. If I knew it early, I would drag him here," Mary said.

The girls controlled their anger while focusing on the class. The teacher in the front was teaching seriously.

"Okay, now we will learn about the traits of tier 5 monsters… The last trait is…" the teacher said.

It was boring. Even though the girls were able to keep focus, most of the students 'died' already.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Argh…why must I go through this shitty experience again, Erica? I'm too old for this…"

"If you don't like it, we can leave now." Erica gently said.

"No, I promised the girls already. *Yawn* I want to sleep." Alan lazily said.

"Which class is it again? Is it this one?" Alan looked up.

"Purgatory class…what kind of f***** up name this is?" Alan casually said.

Alan's voice was quite loud. The students heard what he said and felt angry. Some of them were so angry, "How dare y-…"

Before they can finish their sentence, a boy came in, followed by a woman. The boy was Alan.

Alan strolled into the class. He was sleepy, and while he was walking, his beautiful hair was playing gracefully on his shoulder. His handsome face was so enchanting that he made the ones who were angry dumbfounded.

The teacher looked at Alan, "Are you the new student?"

"Yes, sorry for late. I overslept." Alan casually replied.

"Overslept? You do know that class starts early in the morning, right?" the teacher asked.

"I know, but I was tired, so I continued on sleeping," Alan said while shrugging his shoulders.

The teacher was angry but calmed himself down. The higher up told him to comply with Alan.

"Okay, next time no more." The teacher said.

"I can't promise you that," Alan said.

All the students, except for some, were bewildered by the scene. The boy in front of them was quite arrogant, but the teacher did not get angry.

The teacher clenched his fists and said, "I see…then. Please introduce yourself."

Alan knew that the teacher was angry at him, but he ignored it. He looked at the students and loudly said,

"I'm Alan Snow."

No more words came out from Alan's mouth. People were speechless, "That's it?" Even though they already know him, especially after the examination exam, they were still dumbstruck.

The teacher was only one of them. He asked, "Is there any more that you want to share?"

"No," Alan replied.

The girls that knew Alan was trying hard not to laugh, but someone can't help but laugh so hard.

"Hahaha!" a girl laughed.

Alan frowned, "Why do you laugh at me, Tracy?"

"Hahaha…it's your fault, Alan." Tracy laughed before mimicked Alan, "I'm Alan Snow…hahahahha!"

The students were shocked, "Tracy knows Alan?"

Alan ignored Tracy, who was laughing, "Any question?" he asked?

Then, someone raised his hand before he asked, "Who's that woman behind you?"

"Oh, she's my attendant," Alan said. The academy allowed the students to bring their attendants along.

Although Erica wore a veil, people know that she is a beauty but not sure how beautiful she is.

"Is she single?" a man asked.

Alan stared at that man, "She's not."

The man felt cold from the stare. "I-I see…I was just asking."

Alan looked away. Only after that, the man felt the cold disappeared.

"I'm tired of standing here, no more questions." Alan waved his hand and walked to a vacant seat.

"Shit, he is going to sit beside the president." One of the students said.

Alan did care about the other students who were staring at him. He walked in and sat on the seat beside Jessica.

Alan looked back and gazed through the crowd of students.

"Why you girls so far away? Come here." He calmly said.

"Coming!" Alan's sisters and Tracy stood up before they sat on the same row as Alan.

"Sister Jessica, we're sorry for not sitting beside you all this time. It's just that; we can't focus." Mary said.

"Me too, Jessica, you're too popular, you know," Tracy said.

"It's okay, I knew about it." Jessica smiled.

Alan stared at Jessica, who was sitting beside him. Jessica did not know what to do except for blushing while looking down.

"Hey, did you missed me?" Alan asked.

"I do…" Jessica was shy.

"Then why did you not see me for years?" Alan asked. He was confused too. From the previous Alan's memory, Jessica was his fiancée, but when he asked his parents, they said that Jessica never visited him.

Jessica felt wronged. She looked at Alan, "I don't want our engagement to be annulled, so my family told me not to visit you as the condition."

"Yes, big brother, the Hills family gave that condition hoping that Sister Jessica's feelings towards you faded over time," Mary said.

Alan stared at Jessica, "Did it faded?" he asked.

Jessica did not answer. Instead, Alice responded, "Sister Jessica's feelings for big brother become deeper over the years. She even wanted to escape from the Hills family and wanted to follow us for the Snow Family gathering that was conducted that day."

"She was talking about you all the time, Alan, even I felt annoyed," Tracy said.

Alan still stared at Jessica, who was feeling so nervous. "You look more beautiful now." He gently said.

Jessica's face became redder while looking down. She was shy. "Thank you." This was the first time she saw Alan again for the past ten years.

The students were shocked; even the teacher at the front was stunned. They never saw the prideful and arrogant President became so timid.

"Are you sure that is our President?"

"Impossible! That Alan must be using some kind of sorcery."

"Alan is so handsome…"

Alan sensed that people were staring at them, now he understood why the girls did not sit with Jessica.

"You guys better not keep staring at us, or I will punch your faces one by one," Alan said.

"Hah! You can only talk, I want to stare at the girls, that is none of your business." One of the students said.

Before he can talk more, Alan punched his face. The man was thrown away from the punch and fainted.

"Any more?" Alan asked.

The crowd looked away from the girls. "What the ****? That was fast! One punch?!"

Now all the female students in the class stared at Alan. Alan did not mind the stares as long as the girls beside him were alright.

"Alan looked like a prince!" one of the female students said.

"No, I think a King suits him better. Don't you see how domineering he was?" another student said.

"Yes! King suits him better. King Alan!" the female student said.

Alan returned to his seat.

The teacher resumed his teaching. Alan was so bored he dozed off. His body swayed to Erica. Before Erica can catch him, Jessica pulled Alan to her side.

"Let me sleep…" Alan muttered.

Erica pulled Alan to her lap, "Sleep here."

Jessica was bewildered, "Lap?" she pulled Alan back to her side and put Alan's head to her lap. She was blushing. This was the first time someone sleeps on her lap.

"Give him to me," Erica said.

"No way. He's mine." Jessica said.

"In your dream. He's mine." Erica said.

Alan, who was sleeping just now suddenly woke up. "Cut it out, you two."

"Oh, by the way, Jessica, this is Erica, my woman." Alan introduced Erica.

"Y-your woman?" Jessica was shocked.

"Yes, it's a long story. I'm sorry, Jessica, but if you don't want it to be like this, you can leave me. I don't mind." Alan said.

Jessica stared at Erica for a long time before she shook her head and said, "It's okay. You're the only one for me, Alan."

Alan caressed Jessica's face, "Thank you, dear." He softly said.

Jessica was blushing again. "Un…" she nodded.

Suddenly Alan remembered something. He stared at Jessica and asked, "The Cain family. Did they proposed engagement to you?"

Jessica was surprised, "Yes, how do you know? Don't worry. I'll settle it."

"No, you can't, but it's fine now, I'm here," Alan said.

Other male students can't do anything but jealous. One of them is Shaun Cain. Every student in the academy knows that Shaun was pursuing Jessica, but no matter what he did, Jessica did not even bat an eye on him.

In the novel Alan read, Jessica, will have a problem where the Cain family wanted to propose an engagement with the Hills family through Jessica and Shaun.

The main character John Pride will save Jessica, and that's when the romance between them starts. From here, Jessica will forget about Alan Snow, her fiancée, and move on. This is the original story, but now, Alan Snow is back.

Suddenly, the system rang.

"Ding! New quests required."

Side Quest:

1. Help Jessica resolve the problem with the Cain family.

2. Enhance Alice's magic staff.

"Oh? New quest? I guess I need to help Jessica, huh?" Alan thought.

After the class finished, Alan looked at Alice, "Alice, can I look at your magic staff?"

"Sure." Alice waved her hand, and an ice staff appeared in the air.

Alan touched the staff, "If I'm not mistaken, the Rainbow Diamond Dust that I got from the dungeon was something needed for enhancement." He thought.

"Did you ever enhance your staff?" Alan asked while giving the staff back to her.

"Enhance? That is something difficult to do. Not everyone can enhance their staff." Alice lamented.

Alan stared and smiled at Alice, "What if I tell you, your big brother can do it for you?" he said.

"Then, I believe big brother." Alice looked at Alan without a single surprised look on her face.

Alan was confused, "Why you're not surprised?"

"Because you're the big brother. Big brother is the best." Alice seriously said.

Alan was speechless. His sister looked up to him so much.

"What if big brother not the best anymore?" Alan asked.

"Big brother is big brother. I don't care." Alice smiled.

"Hehe, come here." Alan hugged Alice and lifted her in one hand.

"Big brother…people are watching." Alice hid her face on Alan's chest.

"It's fine. Let them watch." Alan smiled.

"Big brother, me too!" Mary said.

"Let's go!" Alan lifted Mary with his other hand.

Erica and Jessica were quite jealous while Tracy only shook her head.

When they reached the villa, Alan opened the system window and look for enhancement skills. Alice's staff was not given by the system, so Alan cannot enhance it like how he did with Star Sword.

"There it is! I knew it." Alan was happy.

"Crafter, huh? Interesting…" he thought.
