The new guests

" Are these the ones general was talking about ?" Emily asked,

Haider looked at everyone that were staring at the two birds Bella brought ,they had excitement and amazement in their eyes .

"Yeah these are the one's your father wanted to have" Captain replied as he looked at Flame .

Flame knowing that he had the attention in the crowd started to blaze its body and opened its wings to show that it was superior but was suddenly knocked down by short ice block formed by snow that saw Flames stupid act .

Everyone was confused at how both the birds behaved but Haiders group laughed at how Flame was knocked down and everyone joined the laugh as they realised the funny situation, Flame flew to the table and started eating like nothing has happened .

Bella walked towards Haider

"So who is this lady?" Bella asked Haider as she remembered the way she acted when the convoy arrived .

" She is the daughters of the General she came here cause she found the birds fascinating " Haider replied ,

" The birds or you? " Bella said in a low tone and the lunch continued with Bella giving Emily glares often ,

4 pm evening :Haiders house :

Haider, Mark and Captain with his secretary were sitting in a room at the upper story of Haiders house where they held a meeting to decide upon some details of their settling here .

" We have a few weapons for a small group and some cold weapons but that cannot supply you for a lot and we also have our own affairs but we are happy to share " Haider started.

" We don't need those weapon we brought alot from the base that could be enough for two months " The Captain answered.

Then the meeting continued and they decided about the food distribution and supply runs that will supply the small base with the things they need ,Haider and the Captain were now on authority about the decisions about the base , If any new survivor would b found they would either go to the main base or the new one depending on the decisions of Haider and the Captain .The crystals obtained by the groups would be distributed in accordance to the orders of Haider and the Captain.

"Oh yeah Haider can i see the birds you have ,I heard a tale about a huge bird with green Flames over its body in the rescue of the convoy in the main market " Captain said

"Oh you're talking about Emerald ? She's on the roof with Monica and the other soldiers doing some small hunting " Haider replied and left the office.

The Captain shortly also left the newly built office to the roof .

6 pm Inside the main hall:

"Don't you think they are after the birds ?" Mark asked ,

" No if they were they could take them all when we were in their base , they know the birds know their owners " Haider replied .

The rest of the day went smoothly with the new men getting used to their new home and The workers arranging the workshop as Haider asked them to do it as soon as possible .

Inside the workshop Haider was standing along with a senior mechanic .

" So you can do it or not ? " Haider asked ,

The senior mechanic James was looking at a complex diagram of the mini bus that was to be modified .

" We're short of men and we dont have a lot of supplies to do this all " James replied,

" Oh you dont have to worry about that , I've collected more than enough supplies for this ,Just go to the store room and bring them here and about the men don't worry Mark will help you guys .About the payment I'll give you six crystal for the job " Haider replied

The eyes of James were shining after he listened the payment ,The crystals were we'll known and had high value but were hard to obtain even inside the military settlement .

He began the work right away .The final product would be like a storage unit for the vehicles where they could carry the looted supplies with two machine guns amounted at the top of the carrier and flame throwers ay the sides .

The workers were amazed about the design that Haider had given them to built.

Haider went to the backyard as it was a little noisy .The backyard went silent as Haider went there . All the birds had woken up with unique abilities and some with strong physical characteristics. They were being trained by Flame who out of nowhere took the leaders spot and showed them how to make use their abilities , Bella, Jessica and Monica along with the Captain were watching the birds as they fought against each other.

Bella had a note book in her hands that had information about the birds and gave it to Haider .

"Captain we would like to offer some of my members to your unit for scavenging "

Haider said as he approached the Captain .

"Oh Really Sure " The Captain got excited hearing that they could now be along with the birds ,

" But in exchange you need to train my comrades to their deaths " Haider added which made everyone in Haiders group gulp their salivas ,

" No worries about that " The Captain laughed.

It looked like a devil.who received a job after a long time, which made the backs of everyone sweat .

" Hmm for starters why not take Flame , He has quit the stamina to show off " Haider said while smiling,

Haider then added 6 birds under Flame and Snow that had abilities like strong physical , fire breath ,Night vision and a unique ability that he had seen for the first time acid spit .

It spits strong acid that could melt steel in matter of seconds .

The Captain was pleased and assigned his top soldiers to take care of the birds , the birds were free to do what they liked inside the settlement but were under the care of the soldiers when accompanied in missions .

* Report Captain we found a large wounded wolf like creature east streat of the base fighting with two big ones and a striker *

The Captain's walkie talkie suddenly turned on , The Captain looked at Haider while asking for an answer.

"Tell them to kill the striker " Haider said .

The Captain confused but forwarded the command .

*BOOM *

A sniper shot the striker down ,

Haider went inside and dragged Pearl out and also took Emerald with him and started to get ready .

"Captain Tell them to not fire at the wolf "

Haider said as he got out of the house from the backdoor , He ran to the location .

He arrived at the location shortly after he could see a striker and a big red laying on the ground and a large black two meter dog fighting a big red . He too out his gun and killed the big red which caused the dog to look at his direction .

The dog that appeared as a wolf had wounds all over his body .

" Pearl go to the other side , Emerald be ready to drag me out .

Haider said and Pearl shot to surround the dog . The dog seeing the new enemy stood on guard .

Haider took out two huge Pieces of meat and fed waved in front of the dog . The dog on guard went towards him and snatched one piece and then went to a little further and ate it the she came back to take the other but layed in front of Haider to eat the piece.

Haider patted the dogs head and started get close to the dog. The Captain was seeing the scene from the binoculars standing on the top of the roof .

" Hey girl lets get out of here" Haider said and then started to walk to back as he saw zombies approaching.

The dog noded and cautiously followed Haider with Pearl picking up the stones of the killed mutated .

He got into the house with the dog at the back door and the dog went on a little ease seeing birds and also food prepared for her .

Emily went forward to the dog and started to take care of it.

*Haider we have a problem come to the roof *

Haider the went to the roof and saw everyone staring at the north east of the road .He went towards them .

*What in the hell *

Haider said frustrated as he saw a whole army of zombies of nearly 500 zombies approaching their base .
