Another Dream

James and I sat quietly for a while. My eyes became heavy and I fell asleep. I was dreaming again.

This time, it was mother, father, Grandma and I. We were all in the living room. Mother and father were talking to Grandma. It sounded serious. I walked a little closer to see if I could hear the conversation.

"We can't wait any longer mother. They're coming and if they take her, it'll be over for all of us." I could tell it was mother's voice.

"Ok. I will take her with me. Just, please be careful. Please come for us once they are gone." It was Grandma.

The dream suddenly changed. Mother was reaching for me again, her blue eyes became dark. I didn't want to wake up this time, I wanted to know what would happen. I watched as mother's eyes became darker and darker until a shadow consumed her. I could hear the beat of a heart consumed by hate.

"Lily, Lily." James whispered. "Lily wake up."

I woke up. James' hand covered my mouth.

"Lily, they're here. They're behind us." James and I were silent. I could hear them. Every step as they got closer to us.

"I know you're there! Do us a favor and just come out! Fight!" The voice got closer. The sound of footsteps stopped. "There you are!"

"James! Run! Go get William!" I screamed.

"I won't leave you here!"

The shadows surrounded us. There were too many of them. The sound of hate was overwhelming. I felt the golden bow in my hand. I pulled back the arrow of light hitting one, two, three shadows, but it was no use. They just kept coming. There was no escape. I couldn't stand any longer. The bow faded and my legs became weak. My vision slowly darkened and I fell to the ground.

"Don't fight it! Accept the darkness! Join us Lily." The voice sounded familiar. I wasn't sure who it was but I recognized their voice.
