The Boy

The Queen walked away leaving me speachless. Why would the golden bow turn on the Four Kingdoms? What happened to create such anger within the golden heart?

"Lily!" A little voice said. Lily come play with us! Lets play tag!"

"Alright." I smiled.

The little kids ran around the room with such energy that I could not keep up. I stopped to rest for a moment and I saw an older lady looking at me.

Her lips weren't moving, but I could hear her. "Lily, please follow me."

I got up off the ground and moved closer to her. She turned around and walked down the hall, I followed. Suddenly she came to a stop and held her hand to the wall. The wall crumbled and the lady walked inside. The room was dark with little candle lights floating through the air.

"Lily, I am from the Kingdom of Darkness. I did not agree with the King's plans of destroying the Four Kingdoms so I came here. For years I have been hiding this castle from the rest of the Sky Kingdom, people are safe here. No one has come to us until you, how did you find us?" The lady asked.

"W-well uh, I know this sounds crazy but someone told me."

"Who?"

"My bow?"

The lady looked at me confused, "Your bow, told you how to get here?"

"Y-yes. A voice has been in my head since I was little, I don't know who it is but they always help me." I said.

"May I see your bow?" She asked.

"I-I'm sorry but I still don't understand the power of the golden bow and we only just met and-"

"And you don't trust me. Alright just give me your hands and hold still. I wish to see your dreams if that's alright?" Her eyes looked sincere and I had no feeling of danger.

"Ok."

I could feel my body go numb and the world around me darkened. There was a light in the distance, I could hear someone crying. I moved closer to the light to see a small boy sitting on the dark floor beneath us, he didn't notice me. The dark floor became bright, and I could hear the same boy crying, but I didn't know where he was.

I could hear a voice echo through the halls, "You will never be good enough if you continue to act this way!" I tried to follow the sound of crying but it came from every corner of the room. "You are the worst golden bow of them all!"

I covered my ears, "Stop! Please stop!" I yelled, but the words of hate continued to fill the room. "Stop! Stop!" The room went dark and the echoing voice stopped.

"Open your eyes Lily." A voice whispered.

I opened my eyes to see the lady in shock. "You saw, you, how did you?"

"Who was that? What happened?" I was breathing heavily as if I had just woken from a nightmare.

"Lily, I need to think for a moment, please go back to the garden."

"W-wait but who was that?"

"Please go, I will explain everything later."
