"Alright, tell me what to do." I said excited at the second chance.
"First of all, do you accept system 002 as your system?" He asked in a serious tone.
"I accept."
As I finished saying those words, I bright light suddenly appeared in front of me. Making me close my eyes to avoid irritating them. Then I realized. My eyes! They were being irritated.
As I realized that I felt my senses coming back to me. I could feel my body.
I tried getting up, and I did. Gosh! After feeling numb for so long I could finally get up again.
I opened my eyes to check out my surroundings once again, and surprisingly I was out of the void.
I was in a small room with a medium size bed, a coffee table and a large bean bag. It felt pretty simple. The only unique thing about it, was that it was white.
The bed, the sheets, walls, the furniture. Everything was completely white.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"The system. I thought that you didn't like the darkness, so I changed to this."
"Thank you," I said. Even though I didn't mind the darkness.
"Don't worry, the system will get bigger and bigger after you complete missions. No need to mind the lack of creativity."
"I don't," I said explaining that I didn't mind it. It just reminded me of the hospital. Well, at least the hospital had some color to it, this is just sad.
"Okay, let's start with the storyline: The book you are transmigrating to is called, " School President, Don't be bad."
Ugh! That title makes me cringe. Adam didn't bother reading the story to me and basically just tossed me a book that took two hours to read.
The story is basically a modern Cinderella story. It takes place at Rose Academy, a school for the upperclass which offers the best teachers, the best materials, and the best opportunities. The female lead is called, Holly. She entered the school while being sponsored by an unknown rich man. Although, Holly's grade were really good. They weren't enough to enter the school with a scholarship. Since most of the classes they offered were college level classes. This caused Holly to be immediately targeted by the students. First, because she was poor. Second, because they thought she had a sugar daddy and was ruining the reputation of the school. Third, because she kept encountering the student president, the most popular student in the school. With a cold face, amazing grades, and rich family background he was a cold CEO in the making. For some reason, Holly was the only one who could make him smile. So when she was being bullied he always came to the rescue. The story, went around like that until they finally graduated and got engage.
"So?" I asked. "Who am saving?" The story had a multitude of cannon fodders. Many people encountered a bad ending after they messed with the president's white moonlight.
"You are saving, Noah, the second male lead. He was the one who sponsored the female lead to attend the school. Yet, after all his efforts she ended up with his rival."
"Do you want me to play matchmaker?" I asked. Not knowing how to proceed.
"No, that will affect the flow of the story. We still need this world's energy to continue." He said with panic.
"So I can never break up the male lead and the female lead?" I asked.
"You can break them up, but the female lead can't end up with the second male lead. That will be immoral and disgusting."
"What? He's The second male lead, he's literally a male lead. Why can't they be together?" I asked not understanding his logic.
"Think of it as if they were siblings. It's incest and it's WRONG. okay?"
"Okay?" I said, not sounding very sure. It seemed like it was impossible for the female lead and second male lead end up together. At least Adam was against it.
"As long as you understand. Anyway, would you like to keep your name for the worlds or would you like to take the character's name?" He asked.
"I would like to keep my name," I responded. If I take on their names as well as their lives I'm gonna end up forgetting who I am. Which absolutely cannot happen.
"Okay, but there are going to be some stories in which you are gonna have to change it. For example, Asian novels."
"I understand."
"Good, but for this one you are allowed to keep using the name Evelyn. Now, guess who you are going to be?" He asked as if he was trying to excite a puppy or talking to a baby.
"A bully, I assume." I said not interested in his games.
"Wow! My baby is so smart. Here, this is your prize." He said as I looked up and saw an object being thrown at me. I instinctively catch it. However, that allowed me to notice something. My hands were white.
"Ahh!" I screamed.
"What?" Adam asked irritated.
"My hands! I, what happened!?" I asked deeply horrified by what I was seeing. When I first recovered my body, I didn't really pay attention. Thinking it was going to be the same. Yet, I couldn't understand why I was like this.
My hands were a very very pale aqua color. Almost white. Plus, it was smaller. That made me check my entire body. It looked more delicate than I remembered like a fairy from a fantasy story.
"There's a mirror to your left," said Adam which made dash towards it immediately.
"Oh my god," I said as I gasped for air. Not only did I looked like a fairy. I was one. There were wings on my back. They looked translucent and delicate. I felt like I could break them, merely by touching it.
"Why am I like this?" I asked not understanding.
"You committed suicide, so this is your punishment," he said as a matter of fact.
"Being a fairy is my punishment?" I asked. Insured I heard right.
"Each person possesses something called a soul. A soul is basically your spirit or who you are as a person. Each soul is different and unique, they don't look like the mortal flesh at all. They are beautiful and vibrant. They are full of color. You would've been like that If you hadn't end it. Now all your color is gone. Your wings, which were supposed to be strong to cause a hurricane are as weak as bug's. You are weak and colorless, that's part of your punishment." He said, with disgust in his voice. Almost as if looking at me was like looking at the most disgusting thing ever.
"Part? What else is there?" I asked not knowing what to make of the situation.
"Me. I'm the rest of your punishment. But in a way, I'm your savior. As you keep saving random characters and collect goodness points your color is gonna come back," he said trying to fix his tone. Not sounding as disturbed as before.
"Do I need my color?" I asked not knowing why he made it sound like it was important. I didn't really cared. I just wanted to go back.
"Your color is your Power. It is who you are and how people view you. If you went to the spirit realm you would be lower than a slave. It is extremely important that you recover your color. It is your spirit power. Fortunately, you can recover it by harvesting goodness points. Not to mention, that goodness points are going to allow you to have the most vibrant colors. Can you imagine it, your going to be oh so beautiful." He said with a dreamy voice.
"Oh," I said. Not caring about his excitement. I looked at my reflection on the mirror and didn't hate it. I did look weak.
But was what I did really that wrong?
"Evelyn," I heard Adam called me as I was deep in thought.
"Grab the candy, I gave you." He said forgetting about how chirpy he was being a moment ago.
I looked around the room and saw a small pink ball. I picked it up and looked at it for a second. It looked like any other artificial candy.
"When you eat that, you're gonna be transported to the book. Don't contact me a lot. Remember to save the second male lead. Also try to save any other characters for bonus points." He said as I nodded and swallowed the candy.
