Gazing out the night sky inside the cab, I closed my eyes, enjoying the breeze hitting my face. It soon became harder for me to retain my eyes from closing.
---
"Emma. Emmmma- wake up. We're here," as Noah give me a little nudge on the shoulder. Letting out a yawn, I woke up finding myself lying on Noah's lap. Disturbed by my sleep habits, I quickly went to check to make sure I haven't drool on his pants. I had enough humiliation for a day.
"... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?...Emma." Noah appeared troubled with me groping him "I...I am massaging your legs... since I slept...", giving him the eyes of determination as my hands still wander up his thigh. Noah looked up at the driver and gave him an awkward smile, "We're still inside the cab, you know?" keeping my hands in place.
I stiffly glanced up at the driver who was staring back at me, "Your boyfriend has already paid.", replied with a leer. Puzzled as to why the driver assumed me to be Noah's girlfriend, I finally glanced down realizing the misunderstanding I made.
Flustered by the way he thinks, I tried to explain to the driver that he's not. But Noah merely nudges me to get off. With a slam of the door, Noah bowed and said, "Thank you."
As the cab drove off, we began walking up the street, side by side, "Why did you stop me from explaining? He misunderstood. I was trying to" before I finished my sentence. He interrupted with a menacing tone, "massage?" After spending the whole evening with him, I completely forgot his nickname, Grim Reaper. My entire body feels the prick as he looks at me for an answer. "...yes." dodging eye contact. I can't tell him about my habits, it's better to swallow the lie.
He sighed, "Bye then." and started walking the opposite side.
As I watched him leaving me, there was a small tug in my chest. And a mix of emotions started to flow out, as I ran toward him and grabbed his arm, "Why are you leaving??" Stumbling on my words, "I just...embarrassed... drool. Where are...you going?"
Noah was confused to see me running back to him. He attempted to calm me down by patting my head but failed to. Before he could open his mouth to speak, he saw the tears that were blurring my vision and pulled me in.
