Girl's Talk

It has been three days since Emma and Noah last contacted each other. The last text was them arranging for their date to the C.E.T museum, which is in two days from now. Sitting in Mimi's room, the two girls were having a serious conversation. "Should I pop it?" Emma said with a stern tone.

"No. Are you willing to pay for the consequence if you do?" Mimi questions as she lifts Emma's face and breaks the serious vibe, in disgust, "It's SO huge, my god." Emma shoved her hand off her face, dragging herself closer to Mimi, desperately asking, "Do something about it. It can't stay." "There's nothing that can revise this." "Nothing," Emma hopelessly echoed."Nothing," her soul slowly withdrawing her body.

Mimi trying to get a grip of her, rocking her back to life, "Hey, hey, you can still hide it. Isn't that wonderful news?" Glaring at her, Emma threatens, "WHAT IF IT IS YOU THAT HAVE THIS PIMPLE ON YOUR NOSE?!" Mimi immediately covers her nose, "Hell No."

Unable to control her temper, Emma picked up her cushion seat and slapped Mimi directly on the head, "Must you react like that??" Mimi was astounded by the attack, "You-" picking up her cushion, "actions aren't needed." Just like that, the start of a cushion fight began.

"Watch the nose! CAREFUL-"

After calming down, Emma fixed her hair and wore her mask, "I'll be going now. Your brother could be coming back any minute." Knowing how he is, she would rather be dead if he finds out about her pimple.

When she got home, she spent her time staring at the mirror, sighing every few seconds. Her mom finally had enough, "Go buy some lettuce and see if you can find a pack of soju while you're at it. I want to try it." pointing at the Korean drama she was watching, "tsk tsk look good."

"Not going." still studying her pimple, after a while with no response back from mom. Emma lifted her mirror and saw her mom's eyes fixed on her mirror. As she got ready, she mumbled loud enough for her mom to hear, "Even my own mom doesn't even want to see her ugly daughter. Kicking me out like this." trying to make her feel guilty. "CARRY A LIGHT SWEATER IT'S GETTING COLDER. HURRY AND GO!"

"YOU'RE THE WORST MOM." but still listens to her anyway.

As she was heading to the market, she remembers her mask was still at home, already mid-way from the market. She was debating alone on the sidewalk if she should walk back or keep walking. Luckily she found a small band-aid in her pocket and stuck it on her nose.

Rushing out of the market, carrying the pack of soju and the lettuce hoping not to bump into anyone she knows. But things don't go her way, she heard someone call out her name behind her. "Emma?"

She recognizes that voice, someone she certainly doesn't want to see at this moment. She stood still for a second and did a slight bow without turning around. Stealthily taking small steps forward and started walking faster. But he quickly caught up. She secretly cursed at the pack of soju for slowing her down.

"You're still wearing my sweater?" smiling. Noah tries to get a better look at her face. However, she doesn't make it easy for him, each turn his lean, she goes the opposite way. Noticing the pack of soju, he kindly offered to help, "Do you need help carrying that?"

She unintentionally responds coldly back to him, "No, I'm fine." still trying to hide her face. Not knowing what to do next, he wants to mention that Lily's birthday is coming up, but she interrupts him and quickly says, "My mom must be waiting. I have to go. See ya." Leaving him standing there watching her leave.
