Chapter 2

Deep in the night in front of Isaac's villa, a van parked. Four people dressed in black stormed into the Villa until they halted in front of a door.

"Bravo, is the target inside."

"It's confirmed, he's inside."

"Good. Go, go, go!"

The four stormed in and fixed the seemingly sleeping Isaac on the bed. One of them injected him with a sedative while two guys were holding his arms.

"Handcuff him and then let's get out of here."

The four of them carried him to the van before they hastily drove away.

The only fault they made was to think that Isaac really was asleep. In fact, he already knew that they were coming, when the van parked outside. The only reason he didn't resist was, that he wanted to see, where they bring him to and what secrets they have.

After a few hours, the van stopped and the doors opened.

"Bring him out. The director wants to speak with him."

Two men grabbed him by the shoulder and brought him to a big office room. There an old man wearing a white coat was waiting for him.

"Hello, you can call me director Tachikawa. What's your name?"

"I'm Isaac. I assume you brought me here because you found something out about me."

"Well, let me first explain where you are. This is a special facility, one of very few in Japan, where we research people with, let's call it special abilities."

"So I am here because you think I am one of them?"

"We not only think it, we know it. We didn't know your name, but we were very clear about your location and ability. It's called "Absolute Control". You can control everything in your body. Am I right?"

"So, what do you want to do to me?"

"Nothing much. You will stay here in our facility while we will research your ability. But even though your ability is not bad, it's not special or versatile. You will come into the section where people with low danger abilities stay."

"How long am I going to stay here?"

"That's something for us to decide. Well, till our next meeting Mr. Isaac."

After that, 2 people dressed like guards came and brought him out. When he was at a cell, they threw clothes in.

"This will be your cell. Change your clothes and get some sleep. In a few hours, everyone has to wake up. You will get up at 7 am and the sleeping hours are at 10 pm. Don't walk into areas you shouldn't go to and follow our instructions, then your life here will be quite good," the guard said and threw a light blue uniform on the bed.

After that, they closed the door and walked away. There stood a bed with blankets on the left side and a desk with a stool on the right side.

Tired Isaac laid down on the bed and closed his eyes.

So there seem to be a lot of other people with abilities…

- The next morning -

*Beep Beep Beep*

"Block D, it's time for breakfast. I repeat. Block D, it's time for breakfast."

The sudden sound from the speaker woke Isaac up. He sluggishly got up and tried to gather his thoughts, when the door opened.

"Go out. It's breakfast time."

Isaac walked out of his cell to the corridor, where a lot of people were wearing the same uniform as him. He followed the stream of people until he arrived in the cafeteria.

He walked to the end of the line to get his food while looking around. There were a lot of kids here. Some little ones who weren't older than 5, while others were in their teens. People like him who are 20 years old didn't exist at all.

So I can assume that mainly people who are young or in their teams have abilities. But why only them. Does it have something to do with the particles in the air or is it some kind of restriction…

After Isaac finished eating breakfast, a guard came to him.

"You are Isaac?"

"Yes, what do you need?"

"Here's your schedule. Follow me, I'll show you where the laboratory is."

Isaac followed until he arrived at an iron door. The guard held his key card against the scanner so that the door opened.

Inside an old man was waiting for him in his chair. He had white long hair and a mustache.

"Thanks for bringing him here. If I need anything else, I'll call you," the old man said and closed the door after Isaac walked in.

"Hello, I'm professor Tsutsumiuchi."

"I'm Isaac."

"I see you are new, so I'll explain your schedule from now on. After you woke up and ate your breakfast, you will have to come to me and we will do some tests. After we finished them, it's your free time. There are some places here in Block D where you can spend it, for example listening to music, reading or playing in our entertainment area. In the afternoon it's time for dinner and then you have either tests or free time until the sleeping hours begin."

"Sounds pretty human if you ignore that we can't move freely."

"Well, for people like you it's like that, but people with more dangerous abilities have it a lot harder. Whatever, let's not talk about that and begin. Can you talk a bit about your ability?"

"Like you now I can control my body with my ability and seemingly its name is "Absolute Control". There's nothing more to say about it."

"Does that mean you can control your flesh, bones, and cells?"

"Yes, basically that's it."

"Ok, then let's make a test before we create a full-body scan. Try to stop breathing and at the same time slow down your heartbeat."

Isaac did as the scientist told him to, but started breathing again after 3 minutes. If he wanted to, he could naturally stop breathing at all for a much longer time, his Qi not even included in the calculation, but he didn't want to show too much.

"Oh, that's not bad. It was only 3 minutes, but at least we know now that you can even control something like your heart rate. If you learn proper control, even 20 wouldn't be a problem, but that's for later. Let's begin with the full-body scan tight away."

After a few tests and talks with professor Tsutsumiuchi, Isaac came to understand that the particles only worked on kids and teens and that they would lose their ability after adolescence. And the reason the particles were in the air was a comet named Charlotte that flew by 9 years ago. The last time the comet Charlotte flew by and spread its particles, the people started a witch-hunt.

When it was time for dinner, Isaac stood at the end of the line, when he heard a young girl's voice in front of him.

"Yaay, it's curry today!"
