On the first day Taifeng Building resumed business, the flow of customers instantaneously surpassed historical peaks and literally went off the charts. Although it wasn't opened until 11:30 AM, a queue had formed at the door by 11:00 AM, making one wonder if Taifeng Building was secretly serving breakfast. This was despite many customers already sharing tables in both the main hall and the private rooms.
It's no exaggeration to say that the queue almost rivaled that of a holiday high-speed train station.
The welcome staff at the door could only repeatedly persuade the customers at the back of the line not to wait any longer. Even if they were willing to queue for three or four hours just for a lunch, the chefs like Jiang Feng, Sun Maochai, and Jiang Weiming were not up for it.
Despite that, a significant portion of these queuing customers were still unwilling to leave. In their words, it didn't matter if they couldn't have lunch, they could just queue up early for dinner instead.
