A Whole Other Person

Tang Lin started the engine and drove off. Lu Shen had a tracker on her phone, so after she was out of sight, he got into his car and followed after her.

After driving across the city, Lu Shen finally arrived at the location that Tang Lin was at. He looked around and saw her car parked next to the warehouse. Then, he got out of his car and went to the entrance. There was a little hole in the door, and that allowed him to peep inside.

He could hear muffled noises and a lot of movement. Lu Shen heard a very familiar voice and saw his woman come into his sight.

"I'm not going to ask again. Who hired you?!!" Tang Lin yelled as she kicked the man that was tied up on the floor.

There were five men in suits behind her. They didn't seem like bodyguards because they were more laidback and their suits were loosened.

When the man on the floor didn't respond, Tang Lin sat back down on her chair and massaged her temples.

One of the men standing besides her asked, "Lady Boss Tang, what should we do with them?"

"Kill them."

The four people on the floor had frightened expressions and went on their knees.

"Miss Tang, please spare us! We were ordered to never tell! Please!"

It was like Tang Lin became a whole other person.

"Your life is in my hands right now. Shouldn't you be worrying about what I'll do if you don't tell me?"

The man looked at the other three and nodded their heads.

"It was the Han family."

She lightly laughed and said in a cold voice, "Tell them that the Lu family doesn't dare to retaliate against them, but I, Tang Lin, am part of the Tang family and the members of the Lu family are also my family. If they dare to go against my family again, I will not let them off!"

The four people trembled in fear.

"W-we will send the message. Can we go? Miss Tang?"

"Get out of my sight or else I'll kill you right here."

Lu Shen noticed that her right hand held onto a gun.

They quickly got onto their feet and ran out in a blink of an eye. Lu Shen hid behind the big door as they opened it and left. It was dark, so they didn't see him.

He continued to listen to their conversation.

"How is the Dragon Gang doing? I heard you five are fighting the leaders of the Flame Group," Tang Lin asked as she stared at the five men sitting in front of her.

"Boss, are you sure you don't want to be our leader? Is it because you don't want to implicate your fiancée's family?"

"No. It's because I have my own life already. I don't need to change anything." She continued, "I just called you guys here for this favor. Thank you and I'll make sure to repay you guys."

"No need, Boss. You saved our gang twice already. This should be a part of our repayment to you."

"Alright then. Make sure those four don't spill the news. After all, they are the paparazzi and they could make this a headline. Handle it for me." Tang Lin got up and they followed her outside.

Lu Shen quickly got into his car hidden in a dark area and he zoomed home.

He quickly got into the bed and ten minutes later, Tang Lin came in and changed. She laid besides her fiancée, that was still awake, and fell asleep in his embrace.

The next morning, Tang Lin saw that Lu Shen wasn't next to her, so she washed up and went downstairs.

Right when she was about to go find her fiancée, the doorbell rang. It was Ke Zhenshao.

"Hello, Miss Tang. I'm sorry for disturbing you early in the morning. I wanted to ask if you were free this afternoon because I wanted to treat you to a dinner at a restaurant I own," the man smiled brightly at her.

Suddenly, Tang Lin felt her fiancée's presence behind her.

"Am I invited?" Lu Shen laid his hand on Tang Lin's waist.

"Uh.. Mr. Lu, I was hoping that I could invite Miss Tang only to talk about private matters."

Tang Lin knew this man's intention, so she said, "There isn't anything that I keep from my fiancée, so it wouldn't be any different if he was there."

Lu Shen wanted to see what this man was going to do.

"Actually, I forgot that I have a meeting to go to in the afternoon. I'm afraid I won't be able to make it. Mr. Ke, please accompany Lin for me."

"Okay, then. I'll head out."

Ke Zhenshao walked back over to his house and a woman was seen sitting on the couch in the dark living room.

"Zhenyi, I'm going out with Lin this afternoon. Because you messed up our plan last time, I'll have to try harder."

"It wasn't my fault! That wench ruined my plans! If it wasn't for her, I would have a much higher chance at getting Lu Shen," Ke Zhenyi yelled.

He sighed and asked, "Well, what did our parents say?"

"They said we should hurry and split them up. They already dealt with Lu Ying and are still working on Tang Qingyu. We need to speed up our progress."

Ke Zhenshao received a phone call. He heard his father from the other line, so he put it on speaker.

"How is it going with Lu Shen and Tang Lin?"

"We're working on it."

"I think that Tang Lin found out our plans with Lu Ying. Our four paparazzi were taken and forced to tell them that it was us behind the incident. They told us that the daughter of the Tang family sent a message. The only daughter from their family is that woman, Tang Lin. She threatened us."

"What?! She found out?!"

"She only knows that it is the Han family. She doesn't know about you two."

"Okay. We'll try our best to hurry and split them. Don't worry, Father."

"You must hurry. Don't disappoint me."

The call ended.

After their family heard about Ke Zhenshao and Ke Zhenyi liking the engaged couple, they made a plan to split the couple using the siblings. Zhenshao and Zhenyi easily agreed to the plan because it was a win-win situation. They would satisfy their parents and be with the one they love.

At Tang Lin's house, Lu Shen made a call to his assistant, Li Gong.

"Cancel my meeting this afternoon. I'm going somewhere."
