Complicated! as it's doubly drizzling outside at 0200 in the morning when civilians, guerrillas and soldiers walked off in chills. Magee, the unconscious Sr. Sibal, the captain and some of the folks remained resting, though their thoughts were entangled by the tone of fear and just let their prayers followed their comrades' journey.
Interestingly, while the team was on their way, George's assigned one person on post with just few meters distance from one another, as they trekked on the cliffy edges and went down through the foggy slopes for a couple of times. He then considered buddy system for females joining and triad for skinny ones. After almost an hour, the tail of their line, headed by George, was already in the granite house. Without delay, George, Baldur and Albrecht quickly packed up all the supplies and the bayanihan ways of sending it to station one was truly historical. Through God's mercy, they finished forwarding the supplies at around 0600 in the morning. However, when George left the house, he was teary eyed while standing for seconds above the daylight optic hole.
" We'll get back...to reclaim you. When this war is over...we'll stay with you forever, as long as we live. God be with you, our beautiful house." He bowed his head when Baldur grabbed his hand, summoning him to move down since they'd been hearing sounds of vehicles coming to the entrance gate of the granite mountain.
" George, they're coming, come! let's get out now." It was enough for the lieutenant to walk away; slid by the mountain side and crawled on a bushy military alley bound for Gabok. Baldur was right. From a distance as they crept, silhouettes of soldiers were all over and they spread like lightning on the terrain nearby, not just ten but approximately a hundred. It made them both vigilant with unwasted time as they fled to the nearest teammate on post - their brother Albrecht.
" What?" Albrecht was astounded so he ran toward Henry and sent the message about the soldiers to totally conquer the granite mountain. It was enough for them all to immediately vacate out of their posts and out of the long line set in transporting the supplies.
Past 0600 in the morning when series of gunfires pinches the skies, George and Baldur turned their back, looked at each other and a bit emotional.
" Our house...the granite mountain...everything. This time, I know they'll gonna stay there." George sadly uttered.
" I guess they're very mad this time after seeing an empty hideout. Only Aseko have seen us all." Whispered Baldur.
" They never knew Magee could understand their language and have tracked their conversation; its also the reason why we have safely transferred what's ours." George smiled to Baldur as he tapped his brother-in-law's shoulder as they go.
It was 0730 when George and Baldur entered the station one entrance, passing the falls. The sun was too blunt outside while the gunfires continued.
The people inside were busy arranging the supplies. In a minute, the lieutenant saw her smile and ran towards her place.
" Go take a bath, you've just passed by the waterfalls and...just got done with your mission. I'm very happy you led everyone safely." Magee sweetly smiled while slowly extending to him a towel.
" Thanks to you for telling me about the Japs' plan too, if not that intercepted information, I guess they have taken out now our resources for survival. You...you have just saved everyone too."
" Oh...its nothing. It's due to the two soldiers who were guarding me when I was in the barracks back then, they were using their mother tongue without them knowing that I could understand their conversation. Hmm...hah..my wound is aching now...ever since the war started I've got almost five stabbed wounds, including accidents. Huh..." She leaned back carefully and closed her eyes,. trying to evade from pain.
He quicky drew closer to her and attempted to hold her hands but she smirked and told him to go out and wear a shirt.
" Haha! I'm in the principal's office again, caught up simply on side notes like this, hmm, I'll get back when I'm done." He pressed his head and met Albrecht on his way towards the bathroom.
" Hey, you're alone smilin' ha. The blasts were all around outside but your smile reaches on your ears, why?" Albrecht playfully punched his arm and walked with him.
" Brother, my wife's just super cool. She makes my heart shiver in unexpected moments. Sure I'm crazy, tell me." The lieutenant winked an eye to his brother-in-law.
" Urgh! Albrecht left the group. Excuse me brother, I was just curious about what are you smiling at; not realizing that it's your love life again, sorry brother. I need to give some instructions in unpacking the supplies, I need to be in a hurry."
" Ha ha! there you go again! banish if you want, you're just disturbing my silence, haha!" The lieutenant just hanged his towel on a bamboo pole overhead of the bathroom while Albrecht was covering his ears and walked away. In a minute, he started to pour the water dipper on his body.
" She was maybe worried about those wounds on her body, hmm...young wives like her are thinking that way, what would I do to make her comfortable with these wounds. Those aren't affecting my feelings as her husband, those wounds only made me proud of her which means how much her courage to survive has gone through in between life and death. Hmm, I saw the new wound and there's nothing wrong with it. She's still the perfect woman in my sight, beautiful and sexy. She doesn't even need to boast her body anymore but even in her little ways, the manner on how she talks, her voice, her simple conservative passion of unconsciously tempting my heartbeats - were all simply natural and effortless. Wow...everyday I love her. Am I gonna tell her that again and again? I feel like still courting her, even this time. She's...she's just so awesome...I mean it...and...." His thoughts while pouring the cold water from the water dipper had stopped when a loud call from Baldur outside made him quickly wore his pants and shirt.
