If one door closes, force the window open. But when they shut and slams the door at you, walk away. When you are unwelcome don't force yourself into the pack.
Though there is a way to break the barriers. If my charm is not enough, food is my counter attack!
"Why are you buying this much?", teacher Marriane asked bewildered by the range of snacks I'm purchasing.
"You know how easily i get hungry ma'am", I shortly replied, saving myself from further queries. In my mind the picture of great philosophers are alternately coming in sight. Thorndike and Skinner, both proponents of positive reinforcements. To them I owe the idea of what to do next. One I'm sure will lead to crazy guys downfall.
Wanna know how to reinforce someone to fall for you? For them to get excited to see you? Whenever you see them offer them their favorite food. Do it every meeting. Until they are left wondering why they get enthusiastic seeing you around. Pretty cunning right?
"Here buy some drinks too, you might get choked consuming all those," she reminded.
It's not like I'm buying drinks too but, fine then, raising more suspicion to her side, I bought a lot of drinks. Better to have her sensing than Vance. If I only bought food for him he will smell something menacing. I couldn't have him thinking that.
Familiar as it may be, windows are open and a breath of fresh air flashing before my face, I felt weary. The invigorating breeze aids to gain my composure. Resting back, casual acquaintances flood the room. There you are wearing your customary checkered polo partnered with plain jean and sneakers. All plain which matches your physical outlook. Even your smile appears to be, but why is it materializing to me as grand?
"You are early, by the way are you prepared for your presentation?", Vance speaking up, not sure if it was me he is speaking to.
Seemingly falling to deaf ears," You ought to be presenting today. Aren't you suppose to getting the stuffs ready?", he repeated and this time its undeniable, he is talking to me.
"I didn't know. No one told me," I sighed desperately trying to find some loophole. Sure I was absent the day they assigned topics but informing me doesn't take a lot of effort is it?
"No one knew how to reach you," defended him.
I kept my silence, for them not to reach out means I'm out of the flock.
In the verge of concluding that I'm an outcast, Jeremy cuts in.
"Don't worry, I got you covered. I will be the one discussing today. Our professor won't mind, you are not at fault."
"Thank you so much. Here have some," I replied while graciously offering some chips and drink, to which he obliged.
As he grabs what I'm offering my brain was silently screaming no, not that one, its Vance favorite. Its for Vance.
And he picked it.
Unknowingly, I desperately look out for Vance. To be faced upfront with his gloomy feature. The darkened countenance, was instantly washed with brightness as I offer him some snack.
The plan ...
With the second plan, there is hope for success. For me not to milk questionable eyes I offer everyone a parcel of snack.
It doesn't matter who you belong to. Your friends, your family, or whatsoever. You belong to everyone who wanted to be with you.
