Has the messenger of the Lord cried?

The hot and overly pleasant feeling soaked into every pore of Frozen Milk's body and enveloped him like a newborn baby in a blanket fresh out of the womb. He sank further and further into the wetness and experienced heaven.

This was what he needed, this was absolutely what he needed, what he craved for!

A good ol' proper bath!

Especially after realisation hit him like a dump and he dreadingly counted the minutes of laying next beside the holy beauty. He wanted to enjoy it but it was so sudden, he couldn't even get hard or feel good about it.

All that remained in his mind was to stare at the ceiling only because if he turned to Holbe she would meet his gaze.

Especially her hand movements trailing slightly above his body made his hairs stand up. He was definitely sure she wasn't interested in him, so what the hell did she want?

If Prota and Glimpse Water were to find out, he could kiss goodbye to his peaceful life.

Bing.

The all-familiar sound was finally back.

"System has updated. System can provide limited information to host."

"Tell me," Frozen Milk sat up straight in the large bathtub and viewed his own reflection in the water.

"System has detected a new place in the world that should not exist. It's a very small island in the far north, behind the neutral island."

"What about it?"

"System has found a presence that is trying to get a hold of you."

"Meaning?"

"System cannot be sure however it seems this presence is trying to eject host from the book since you don't belong to the story and are changing the fate."

"What the hell? Where did this thing pop out from? Why isn't Glimpse Water affected?"

"Host, Glimpse Water was originally part of the book. You wrote it yourself. Host is the only variable that should not exist. As for the appearance of this entity, system cannot provide more information."

"So, it's trying to kill me."

"To be precise, it tries to eradicate your whole existence."

"What's the difference?"

"Host please try to use your brain. If host's existence is erased, this book would not exist in the first place."

"So, they're trying to destroy the book?"

"No, host. If the book has lost its creator, the book's content will have nowhere to go and will find a new place to exist."

"Slow down, I don't get it?" Frozen Milk didn't grasp the severity of the situation.

"Host, I will enclose confidential information. Every story that has been written on paper will take form in another world, it will exist and come to live. The reason why the story doesn't come alive in the world it's been written in is because the author still exists and has confined the story onto paper, computer or any other form.

If the author dies, the story will still continue to live as the author has left behind his imprint in the world and his legacy. He once existed. However, if the story hasn't been completed when the author dies, the author will transmigrate in order to complete the story himself."

"That's why I'm here!"

"Yes, host and for various other reasons such as your readers. However, if the author has never existed, their existence is erased, there will be no physical form to contain the story anymore. That means the story that existed in another world, this other world will also cease to exist and the story will have to go to a new place. This means that this world will try to overlap with host's world."

Frozen Milk remained silent. This was too much for him to handle. Was this the truth behind the universe? What the hell was this shit? Who the hell came up with this confusing and way too cliché and bad background story?

"In other words, if I disappear. This world will try to overtake my world?"

"Yes, host."

"How the fuck??? This doesn't make sense! None of it makes sense. What happens if this world will try to find itself a new place?"

"Both worlds will collide and destroy each other. To make it easy for host to understand, both worlds will perish."

"Then this person...? Has this happened before?"

"No. This is the first time such a phenomenon has occurred. Until now, the systems have always been able to do their jobs without any problems. Hosts existence must be of misfortune and must've triggered something. Host is truly an unlucky charm."

"Screw you. What should I do then? I don't want to die and I don't want anyone else to die! Why did you even have to tell me all of this?"

Frozen Milk was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

"We have host survive. Host cannot die nor disappear. System has established a new priority: Host's survival. Whatever it takes, whatever needs to be sacrificed, host's life will be deemed as the most important priority from now on."

The fates of two worlds rested on his shoulders. Whatever it takes, whatever needs to be sacrificed...

In other words, use others to survive. No matter how many he would sacrifice to keep himself alive, the amount of corpses would never exceed the death count if both worlds were to perish.

Of everything that's happened, of everything Frozen Milk wished to have since he was a young child, all he wanted was to have a normal life. A family to love him, friends to play with and then hopefully a partner to start his own family.

Yet, in the end, he ended up as a twisted shut-in and lived a very sad and pathetic life until his death. Now, this weak human trash as seen by society was supposed to play the hero.

What kind of cruel fate was that? Just when he thought, he could attain a normal life in this world, it was again violently ripped out of his hands without any control.

Frozen Milk cried. This time he really cried because he was overwhelmed and because for the first time the truly felt the lonely years of his life, because he truly felt he couldn't hold on any longer.

He finally had people in his life he cared for and who also cared for him but now it seemed like he had to abandon them?

"System... tell me what I should do now?"

System remained quiet, it could read the thoughts that flashed through his mind and if the system was capable of it, it'd have shed tears for him.

He wasn't too bad of a person it thought he was in the beginning, yet the system had to be ruthless since if it failed to keep him alive, it'd not only throw the two worlds but the whole universe off-balance. What worried the system more was the presence of this new existence.

"If host disappears and the two worlds collide, system is afraid the presence will be able to leave unscathed and cause havoc in another world again."

"However host please be assured, system will try it's best to help you. Host asked system what you should do. Until system has discussed this with the other systems, please continue the plot."

"Continue the plot...?" was that really possible?

"Yes host. It'd be great to make strong allies, in the end, you have to defeat the new presence."

Frozen Milk swallowed a bit of the water only to spit it out again to make a point, "You want me to what? It's fucking impossible!"

"Host has the strongest characters by his side. It won't be impossible and if hosts were to unify the world, host will be rewarded as a hero, this means host might be able to attain plot armour."

"Attain plot armour?"

"Yes. You will have the chance to draw for plot armour and various other prizes. However, it is not clear if plot armour will work against the new presence as nothing is known about it. It seems to search for you. So, host please proceed with caution."

"I see..." Frozen Milk sank further into the water and closed his eyes.

It took him some time to accept the load of information he was left with. He decided not to tell any of this to the others and to pretend that nothing was wrong. He wanted to protect what he had now.

When he arrived for dinner, he was the last to sit at the table. Prota eyed him with a weird expression but Frozen Milk brushed it off.

"Father, try this. It's really good. I just felt like I should suggest you something as you seem rather..." Glimpse Water searched for an appropriate word, "not up to it."

He shovelled some food onto Frozen Milk's plate.

"Your Excellency, is something not to your liking?" Canno knelt before him.

"No, no. Everything's fine. What's with you all?" he tried to act as normal.

"Well, you look pale and your eyes are red. Has the messenger of the Lord cried?"

Frozen Milk dropped his cutlery, "What nonsense! Also, Holbe, if you don't stop calling me that, You'll have to endure Holbe for the rest of your life!"

"I understand," a little smile graced her lips. He was perplexed.

"Ah I was worried for nothing. How stupid fooling us, father!"

Frozen Milk realised, Holbe was actually trying to make him feel better.

"You brat worry about the most useless thing! Worry about our objective!"

"Hehe," Glimpse Water slung his food down and then patted Canno on the back, "Really delicious. Way better than the food father makes."

"Thank you. What's the objective your Excellency has to come here for?"

"We're here for the king," before he could say anything, Holbe interrupted.

"The king? That's impossible, the king hasn't been out for a long while. No one even knows what he looks like!" Canno was shocked.

"It's that bad?" Glimpse Water mocked.

"We're here to meet the Crown prince!" Frozen Milk couldn't cope with those jerks anymore.

"The crown prince never meets people! Not even your Excellency could!"

I met him though! He casually strolls around the jungles seemingly looking for his victims to prey on and kill! What do you mean he never meets people? He actively goes out to meet them, to let them meet their demise!

"Ah! But there's this new event!" Canno revealed, "It's a competition for fighters. Since too many want to become soldiers, the crown prince said only those that pass will be eligible."

"This is a good opportunity! We could go and meet him!" Frozen Milk was excited again.

He definitely wanted to see a battle full of strong people. Maybe they'd be also able to find some strong allies!!

However, it was strange since he never wrote such an event in his story.

"We should decide how we best use the oppo-"

"I'll enter," Prota cut him off.

"What?"

"I'll do it. I'm the best choice since I'm the strongest and," he narrowed his eyes at Frozen Milk, "You'll be happier if I leave too, won't you?"

Frozen Milk was hit again with the realisation he needed to get to the root of this sudden change in his protagonist. But the more pressing matter was- Frozen Milk and Glimpse Water exchanged glances- this epic situation!

What was this? There was no way the protagonist wouldn't win but that would only mean, the protagonist working for the villain? The protagonist and the villain peacefully meeting? No way! There was no way!
