C23 trust

"I'm going to be honest Celeste, I might've fallen in love." I've never liked people that much, my dream house has always been a place deep in the mountains, where no one can find me. True to my dreams, the window shows the scene of a city, it's far away though, and as a I look around I notice that this room hasn't been painted, it's still rock gray. This entire house was carved out of the mountain, even better. I notice a slab of rock above the area I can see that doesn't look like it belongs, in fact it looks like it covers the hole I'm currently looking out of.

She's smiling at my amazement and after I leave the room she covers it back up, then she shows me how to slide the slab down so that it covers the hole, between a system of pulleys and a lever there are two ropes attached to the rocks through a miracle of smithing, they hold the slab up or drop it down depending on what she wants. She retreats to her room after handing my jacket and pants to me, since my shirt wasn't armored it got ruined between my fights and rolling around, luckily she managed to save my gloves, apparently Alvana wanted to cut them apart. I notice that the threads are holding together and sigh, I've finally gotten the right density. For quite a while I've been struggling to figure out just how thick the wires have to be to withstand being cut. I got my jacket quickly, but I can afford to make bigger wires for it, while gloves are gloves.

"Sorry, I should've worn a shirt earlier." I turn and look at her new attire, intending to say something along the lines of her being in her own home, and the striking difference stops me. the undershirt and sweats earlier reminded me that she is a living woman, while the jacket and pants she's wearing at the moment, along with her hair up in a bun and a single locke falling across her left eye, makes me realize she looks just as young as me, I know she's older but I couldn't tell you what her age is. She's either really trying, or this is her natural face. Now that I think about it I don't think I've seen her use any makeup at all, Alvana uses some but it's more of a professional look then to make herself more beautiful, while I haven't paid enough attention to Ciora to tell what's makeup and what's natural, though I do know she's quite beautiful, after all her father owns a very good business, and she's his spokesperson in most cases. "I don't know if you've been told, but you look absolutely stunning." It never hurts to pay a woman a complement, especially if it's true.

She smiles and takes my arm as we step forwards, I feel heat roil in from the sun room and we step into a flame, soon we step out and she walks down a few stairs, I can tell were in the city from the noise, but I don't fell like we moved at all. She leans against me as we come out of the stairway, and I see the tavern we're currently at. A few people look up, and some eyes lock on her, but when they see me and then my jacket they turn away "you're definitely useful. Almost every time I come here someone tries to hit on me." I nod and wonder if I've ever been that guy, I can't remember it so if I was I've purposely forgotten. "They know beauty when they see it, honestly I might have fallen to your charms if I didn't have so much distrust. Fighting the demon all these years has made me guard myself very well. Where's my sword?!" My eyes widen as I realize I haven't seen it and she hushes me. "I had Ciora run back and get the rock that you put it in, we stuck it in that and it's staying under my house, I have a cellar that takes care of the things that I don't... trust, other people with." I hope nothing happens to it, but since it's been a week I do t think anything will.

I ask her to give me five minutes and walk into a. Alley, I can tell that people use this one a lot because the foot traffic is quite heavy here. Soon I find what I'm looking for, criminals, preferably drug dealers but I'll take anyone else too. With a punch and a few hard words to the other I get some money and struggle not to think about the fact that I'm stealing from thieves, I do t care how I go about things, after all, I'm already paying for a sin that can't be forgiven. A little bit of thievery won't do much more.

I rejoin her and she retakes my arm, her hair smells good, and I debate whether it would be creepy to sniff her, "hey, what are you thinking about?" It seems she isn't looking For silence, and I'm no good at lying when it isn't necessary. "I'm wondering if you would be creeped out if I smelled your hair. I'm also debating how hungry I am and whether I need more money to feed us both. Other than that I'm wondering if you're doing okay, taking care of someone for a full week can't be all that easy." She shrugs and pushes me towards a restaurant, it isn't very showy, but the people coming and going seem happy. "I love this place, not only because it has booths so we can sit together, they have a special date set, if we can eat it all we don't have to pay." I laugh and a few people look at us, if I knew that was her plan I wouldn't have bothered stealing anything. She didn't say anything about the hair thing though. Now it's bugging me, I do t know what that smell is but I swear I've smelled it, quite a lot actually "that was your bed I was in?" I'm assuming so, and her nod proves it. That might be where I've smelled it from. Now that I think about it, she's acting... odd. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to be her acting boyfriend but... she's acting a bit too close, she doesn't need to lean on me or hug me in front of everyone to make them think we're together. Now I'm worrying about what light have happened in the past week while I've slept. "Out of curiosity, because I'm really curious about it now, what is that smell? It smells really good." She looks at me a moment and shrugs "I don't know what you're talking about, aside from the soap I use for my hair I don't put anything else in it." I've smelled it before, so it has to be from the desert, we're close to the north, so the desert isn't around here. If she's been in her house for the past week the smell would be gone by now "hey, what happened after I fainted?" She leads me to a seat and soon a man shows up, he's got two papers with him, on them are the dishes they serve, I've never seen this in my village or city, now I'm anticipating this meal.
