The air was filled with fragrances emanating from all manner of spices. It was a prosperous, lively city at the side of the oasis. Sounds of metals being hammered and threads being woven were heard all over the place, as smiths and craftsmen were busy at work in their respective workshops.
The banner of the successor of the Kingdom of Swadia—Baron Kant—was hanging on the city gates. The citizens lived peaceful, happy lives, revering their lord from the bottom of their hearts.
Soldiers on the city walls armed with crossbows stood guard over the city, and footmen wearing mail armor patrolled the streets.  The place was one of peace and security.

Therefore, Kant immediately understood Viscount Carl Cameron's purpose when Viscount Carl Cameron shouted for 500 black-armored knights to kill their own 5,000 heavy cavalries with the strength of knights.

Viscount Carl wanted to use the black-armored knights to kill the ordinary heavy cavalry who had cast a curse on the Swadian royal knights and the Sarleon lion knights, thus achieving the goal of severely injuring or even killing his subordinates through the curse.

These Swadian royal knights and the Sarleon lion knights were used by Kant as the central bargaining chip to deal with the nobles from the five worlds. Kant would never allow them to be killed by the other party's scheme.
