The first time

Walking away from Alex and heading towards the street I look through my bag and dig out something that was left to me. It is a letter. Tearing it up, I throw it to the ground. I can't let past lovers control me. Maybe I can find a new one.

Walking back towards Alex with my head down, I hug him. "I don't know why I thought I was going to leave. I want to go back with you." Alex freezes for a moment before hugging me. "Thank you for coming back." Emily decides now is a good time to show up right as I was going to reply. "YES! I knew you were going to come back!!" Me and Alex glare at her. She points at us and then points behind her. "Yeah sorry.. Ruined a moment there didn't I..." She laughs awkwardly before walking away. "Will, you mean a lot to me."

"I know."

Sitting down next to Alex in the carriage, I quickly fall asleep. The next thing I remember is that we're at the castle and Alex carried me up to his bed. And that's how we got here. Me waking up, in Alex's bed. At first, I had no idea how I got there, so I freaked out. Then Alex came in and told me everything. Then I tell asleep again. And that's how it's already 5 am the next day.

Getting out of bed, I open the door to the roof. Sitting down on the ledge, I wrap my arms around my legs and wait. I left open the roof door so if Alex came he would know where to go. I know it might freak him out a little bit but I don't want to get lost in his giant castle. And plus, the sunrise is beautiful today.

Staring at the sunrise, the second door to the roof fly's open, and Alex comes running out. He runs to me. "Will! Don't do anything!" Looking back at him, for the first time in my life, I smile. "I won't. I don't want to." Alex looks at me confusingly and walks up to me. "What do you mean?" I shrug and look back at the sunrise. Alex comes to sit next to me. And then, I feel arms around n waist and I am being pulled towards Alex. "You aren't going to do anything?" I shake my head and melt into his embrace. "I won't. Maybe not for a long time. The sunset is to pretty today for me to turn it bad." Alex laughs. "Really? Mean I guess the sunset is okay.. But I have a prettier sight." Looking up at him I frown. "You know this doesn't mean I like you right?" Alex nods and kisses my forehead before looking back at the sunrise. "I know. Just let me enjoy this moment." Smiling, I think back to what he said in the Inn at the village. "Alex? Why are you so scared of the prophecy?" He shrugs' "I don't know. I just am." Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pull myself up. Our faces inches away from each other, I move forward slightly so our lips are barely even touching. "Well, I guess you need a brave knight to protect you from this prophecy." Alex smiles. "I guess I do." Smiling back at him, I move forward so our lips are actually touching. I then move back and turn around, jumping off the ledge. "Don't we have a prophecy to figure out?"

We did in fact not do anything that has to do with the prophecy. Instead, we slept for the rest of the day until it was around 11 the next morning.

I woke up to Alex behind me, his arms wrapped around my waist. Determined to not bring up the kiss, I quickly get out of bed and head towards the door.

Alex groans behind me and also gets up. "Hey Will? Can we talk about-" I slam the door behind me before he can finish. Shaking my head, I walk to where I think, is the garden. Nature always calmed me down. Looking around, I take a right, bumping into Emily.

"Oh! Hi Will! Where are you going?" I fiddle with my hands, wanting to get going? "The garden." Emily laughs and points to the other direction. " It's over there. This leads to the grand hall." Nodding I turn around and head to where I was just at.

Opening the door to the garden, I breathe in, taking in all the scents of nature. Going farther in, I find a stone bench by a great oak tree. Sitting down, I try to not think about the kiss, which fails. Sighing, I give up and just look at the clouds until around 12, Emily comes to get me. Telling me there is an urgent council meeting. Slowly getting up, I follow her.
