For the next few days Jack was training every day to shoot correctly with his bow and arrow, he hit the first try, but the target was very close and Jack knew he could not be arrogant, Mark was still showing Jack how it was right for the shoot with the bow and arrow.
The only problem with Jack's training was that he got tired very easily after trying to hit the target a few times, it was because he still had no experience and had to hold the bowstring for a long time in order to hit the target.
And also because Jack was still 16 and didn't have the same strength that Mark and Ron had after training for many years, the other day Jack discovered that he was making a mistake and went to ask Ron to teach him.
But Ron had gone out to check if the traps had caught any animals and only Mark was in the cabin, so Jack remembered that Mark was better at the bow and went to ask him for help, Ron taught very well, but Mark should know more.
"Mark, I have some doubts about my posture when I try to shoot with the bow, I think I'm doing something wrong, can you teach me?"
"I'm sorry, I think you should wait for Ron to come back and he'll be able to help you better."
"You can; t help me? I thought you were better at archery?"
"I can be more skilled in archery, but Ron is much better than me to teach, Ron and I learned what we know from the same person, I was lucky to be more skilled and have a better view and that's why I am better than Ron in archery."
"But I don't know how to teach very well and Ron learned the same as I did, so if you learn from him you are more likely to be even better than me."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have talked to you like that, I'll wait for Ron."
Jack realized that he was very nosy questioning Mark so he and Ron were helping him so much, it was because Jack was really curious about it and was eager to quickly learn to be a good archer.
When Ron returned to the cabin Mark told him what had happened and Ron didn't say anything about it and just went to teach Jack again, if they were going to work together risking their lives it was only natural that they would talk about personal matters with others.
Furthermore, Jack just wanted to learn and that was what they wanted, after almost two months of training they knew that Jack really wanted to become a hunter, even if it was only for a few years he would help them a lot in the work.
And Jack already helped them, after they taught Jack how he could survive in the forest, they took him several times to the forest to get fruits, medicinal plants and even sometimes Jack took the animals caught in the traps and set the traps again like that as Ron had gone to do.
The two had confidence in knowing how to walk in the forest and could defend Jack if one or two animals appeared, besides, Jack could defend himself with his sword if he was in danger.
Soon several months passed and Jack had learned the basics and now he knew how to shoot the bow and arrow and at least hit all targets, as Jack got tired very fast shooting arrows they started to teach him also to use a shield and they fought using swords of wood to improve Jack's skill.
The two were surprised to see that Jack was quite skilled with the sword, but as he had taught himself and never had anyone to train with, Jack made many mistakes and would not know how to survive in a direct flight.
But because he had trained using the sword for so many years, Jack quickly learned Ron's lessons that he was better than Mark using the sword and shield, so after these months they could already take Jack into the forest and he helped them hunt animals.
While Ron and Mark taught Jack everything he needed to become a hunter, things were starting to change in Jack's village and neighboring villages, after a few months the hunters in the other villages and the women in the other villages had already been rejected by Tim.
Tim was the blacksmith who had the best weapons and armor in all the villages and always gave discounts to help hunters, he was also one of the only ones who made agricultural tools and tools for daily life and still maintained these things.
So after those months, hunters and village women who didn't help Jack in the river when he was in danger were suffering from not being able to buy from him again, so they had to look for another blacksmith who charged much more and didn't have a job quality.
The leaders of the other villages knew this and, of course, hearing the stories of hunters and women from other villages, they thought it was absurd that Tim would refuse to sell only to them, so the leaders of the other villages went to complain to Sam that he was the leader of Jack's village.
Usually, the villages were very close because in times of war the villages had to help each other to survive when the armies of the other kingdoms attacked, so he went to ask Tim to return to selling weapons and armor to the hunters in the other villages.
Tim realized that the leaders of the other villages should be putting pressure on Sam and so he didn't get angry, but he didn't explain the situation as it really happened because he knew that Sam would still ask him to start selling normally to the other villages.
So Tim simply refused and told Sam not to look for him anymore to talk about it, Sam was irritated by Tim's attitude, but he couldn't do anything about it because Tim was more important than him in the village and had the right to decide who he wanted to sell to.
So Sam had to apologize to the leaders of the other villages and he knew that his village's relationship with the other villages wouldn't be very well, Tim didn't talk about it with Jack because it wasn't very important because if Sam wanted to pressure him, Tim would leave with Jack from the village.
