Learning to be a Blacksmith 3

Entering the house Jack saw his father Tim on the floor, his father was around a pool of blood on the floor and a cut on his neck and some cuts on his arm, Tim was dead and he looked like he was tortured by someone before to die.

Jack saw that his father had been hit several times in the face before he was killed, all things were still in the house so Jack knew it wasn't an assault, Jack just sat next to his father and started to cry.

Tim was the only family that Jack had and it was his beloved father who raised him and taught everything he knew, and now his father had been murdered while he was hunting to protect the village, as he always trained to protect the mainly his father.

Jack took a few hours to calm down and the first thing he did was dig a grave, Jack cleaned his father's body and even changed his father's clothes before covering him in a sheet and burying his father.

Jack did this that remembering the bad feeling he felt his father had been murdered and Tim knew how to fight too, so it had to be someone outside the village who killed his father and some people in the village suspected that something happened, but they didn't know still about Tim's death because it seemed less than a day ago.

Knowing this Jack knew that he would have to leave the village to find his father's killer and he had to take revenge, but he would not let his father's body rot and had to give his father a burial before going to look for the killer.

After burying his father Jack cried for a while and wiped his father's blood from the house, he packed some clothes in another bag and left after closing the house, Jack went first to where the village leader was because Sam sure knew something.

Jack entered Sam's house directly because it had already begun to get dark and scared Sam's son and wife, but when they saw that Jack looked furious and sad, Sam's wife went to call the husband who came next and called Jack to talk.

"You must know why I came here, Sam, I don't want any problems, I just want to know if you know who came to the village looking for my father."

"So something really happened, yesterday some men came to the village asking about a blacksmith named Tim, there were three men, one of whom was well dressed in armor and a sword and the other two were employed by him."

"I asked why they were looking for their father because I realized that they were not from the villages and were armed, the man who was the leader said he was from the capital and had a mission to come looking for his father."

"I had to tell you where your father's workshop was and I couldn't do anything but wait for you, Mark and Ron to come back soon, after all only you can protect the people in our village from outsiders."

Jack was very annoyed to hear this, but he realized that Sam was under no obligation to defend his father and had no way of doing that if he didn't say these men would find out that information easily.

He blamed himself for going out that week to hunt or else he could have protected his father himself, even though he was angry he didn't take out his anger on Sam who wasn't to blame for that, he at least knew the direction in which the people were they killed his father and how many people there were.

"Jack, what happened to your father?"

"He was murdered by the men you met."

After saying that Jack left Sam's house and started heading towards the capital, if the men who killed his father left the day before the village they wouldn't have gone very far, they would surely stop to rest and eat too.

Towards the capital, there was no forest and only a few trees near the main road made by the kingdom, so Jack assumed that the men who killed his father thought that they had completed the mission and would return calmly to the capital on that road.

Jack did not worry about the tiredness he felt after returning from a week of hunting in the forest, he just wanted to find and kill the men who killed his father and thus have revenge for the death of his father.

Jack knew that revenge would not bring his father back, but he no longer cared about what was right and what was wrong and just wanted to kill the men who killed his father, Jack moved quickly even carrying his weapons and two heavy bags.

When dawn Jack could not stand the fatigue and his reason won the anger and Jack stopped to sleep for a few hours, Jack slept only 4 hours and continued walking towards the capital, Jack knew it was a two week trip to the capital walking by that way.

So he had no doubts that he could find the men who killed his father before they reached the city, Jack slept only 4 hours a day in the morning and during the night he managed to greatly reduce the distance that separated him from the murderers.

After walking for two days Jack started to see traces of the men who spent a few hours on the road, so Jack knew they were the killers he was looking for and he became even more energetic knowing that he was close to the men who killed his father.

After another day Jack continued walking through the darkness of the night and felt that the enemies' tracks were close, Jack was tired after going a few days without sleeping properly, but the 4 hours he slept a day allowed him to keep walking.

After a few hours Jack could see from the tracks that the enemies were close, he felt that the tracks were indicating that the enemies had left the road and Jack knew that they should have camped overnight.

According to the tracks Jack soon saw a fire burning away from where he was, Jack's heart started to beat faster and his anger returned when he realized he was close to his father's killers.
