years as a Cadets

After the teacher left classroom#2, almost of all the cadets came together to chat and big laughter started to slowly be heard as some were sharing jokes.

'What a pain.... What's the point of socializing, when one can just simply become the strongest by training hard and learning tactics... Truly a bunch of weakling... If not for my promise with my savior, I would have already used force and some tactics to enter the Gotei 13... Anyway, It's only for six years..... I'll be stuck here with them only for six years, for someone like me who has been training in isolation for eighty years, it's just a blink of an eye.'

Just like that Shinji opened the classroom gently and got out. Onlh a few of the cadets noticed his departure by didn't mind all. As the door slowly closed behind Shinji, the memory of a conversation flashed through his mind.

' Brat.... Do you know, why I'm here..... It's not because I'm weak, in fact I has always been the strongest.... Hence, I have always tried to solve everything using my power only..... But remember kid, no matter how strong you are.... You must always be prepared and have people who you trust and that can trust you... Solely relying on strength will be a man's downfall.'

Then, Shinji made sudden motion and violently opened the door. This lead the entire class to turn toward him and wander what he want. He entered by walking like a robot which the others saw as fun, stopped before them and bow with his face parallel to the floor.

"So-So-So-Sorry for disturbing you..... BUT CAN I JOIN YOU GUYS, PLEASE"

Everyone could heard his words clearly as he was very loud and stopped talking for a moment. He then lifted his head and saw everyone smiling at him.

"OF COURSE....."

All the cadets in the room, shouted in unison while some signaled him to come with their hands. Then, everyone including Shinji laughed whole-heartedly.

In this joyful atmosphere, one years passed in a blink of an eye and the second year at the Shinigami academy started. The chief instructor of class #2, started to teach them zanjutsu (swordsmanship) during Fridays after the laws and duties course, in the zanjutsu training hall which is a one story spacious building. They were taught about the characteristics of an Asauchi. Then, we taught the basic moves of zanjutsu. The chief instructor told them that the reason why they were taught just now, was for them to have time for familiarizing more with their swords to facilitate learning.

Afterwards the whole class started spending most of their free time in the zanjutsu training hall and very rapidly, they became sixth year cadets. Many had graduated since the start of this semester with only ten cadets remaining, including Shinji. This was because they showed great talent in one or more of the four fighting styles of the Shinigami and none having obtained a true Zanpakutō. As an Asauchi is a generic Zanpakutō that has a shallow bond to its owner. Unlike a true Zanpakutō or simply a Zanpakutō that is strongly bond to its wielder and can communicate with them.
