Cellmates

~ Untill now in the story ~

At an early age, JeonJa lost his family to a group of alphas, who attacked for reasons unknown. And then he got saved by a silver mane giant wolf he had never seen before and even now has yet to see again.

Barely surviving, he by chance meets Toga/To To, Jungaba/Hoba and Jiner, who help him realize the truth of the world and guide him towards a goal better than death and self-depression.

Then after years of living alone with minimum facilities, JeonJa turns 21 and the story continues from there.

We learn that he infiltrates Sarang just to meet Jackson, who he believes will help him participate in the challenge arc fest, a competition in which if he wins, would show the world that even omegas have the right to respect and power. He also wants to challenge the ultimate alpha Jia Jamen, who rules the world at present and is rumored to be an immortal being, but that is a goal for later.

Unfortunately, JeonJa does not meet Jackson until he has beaten three members of Jackson's pack, where two are beta and one is gamma. And when he does interact with Jackson, he enters into a deal where he has to service Jackson's pack for 20 years and they in return would support him financially and politically, helping him get into the fest legally.

Later, JeonJa, on the request of Jackson, attends a founder's party and meets Maunir/Min. Min shows interest in the young lad but is disappointed in Jackson's team for they lost to JeonJa so easily. He decides to summon Jackson's pack and JeonJa to his place, where he promises JeonJa would receive better training, which will push him to par with the challengers in the fest.

One month remains and the pack and JeonJa decide to leave for Min's, but the luck is not on their side, since they are captured by omega traffickers, or at least JeonJa is.

Separately, before the capture, JeonJa met a pink haired boy. It was difficult to decide what the boy was, since he remained a mystery to JeonJa where JeonJa showed more feelings towards the boy than expected in a first interaction between two strangers.

~ Now on with the story... ~

JeonJa

~

It has been hours since I last heard any sound other than that drip-drop of water droplets.

And have been fighting to breath better since all I could smell was a foul rotting stench in the air and a strong fragrance of flowers, which I knew belonged to Weira. A strength decreasing, sleep inducing herbal drug.

The darkness still surrounded my restrained body, but I could tell I was in a cave, the sounds and vibes it reflected, were very similar to enclosed spaces, and generally they were caves or underground chambers. My eyes were still not used to the dark, or maybe I was so weak that my vision was fading... well, I wasn't sure and prayed I was not.

I had been kept hungry for a long time now and my stomach pained with hunger. I had no sight to see myself, but I knew I was just wearing a lose lower, and was half naked.

The things that kept me restrained were made of jute like material and were scratching roughly against my wrists and ankles, yet they did not pain me as much as the belt around my abdomen did. I thought it was poisonous, and had a lining of spikes, which were most probably piercing through, directly injecting me with venom.

I shivered, tried various methods to call forth my hybrid transformation, or even the wolf one, but I didn't have enough strength in me to go through the changes. Plus, the scent of the flower and poison from the belt kept me from summoning my shadow element. I was properly trapped; I couldn't fight against it. And even if I did get free, I couldn't break through the prison, I felt like it was sprayed with Aconite, or more commonly known as wolfs-bane spirit.

It wouldn't go against the Slavors' code to do just that, they were that twisted to their cores.

I wondered where Jackson and his team could be, were they looking for me? Or were they already on their way to Min's, but I didn't know for sure. As omegas weren't the only unfortunates to get trafficked through, they were just the majority.

I didn't know how this could have happened, Mak had been informed that the forest was the safest route, then... how the hell we got captured so suddenly. Someone on the inside must be involved in this, or someone must have gotten the information of us leaving. Well, there were a lot who could take the blame, but for now I had to think of how to survive through this.

I had been captured before, but that was a long time back, when I had just started to stand on my own two feet. And I had been lucky enough to be on the same team which was raided and saved by some pack I didn't exactly see.

"I won't be that lucky now," I told myself, hearing the echo of my own voice, splashing away the dead silence hanging in the air.

--

A day or two must have passed when I finally heard something more than just the stillness around me.

I peeked above and sure enough I could see a bright light falling over the walls, which was increasing in intensity as seconds went by, making me squeeze my eyes smaller in reflex.

Having only darkness to see, the new light wasn't much welcomed by my sensitive eyes.

I hadn't been able to sleep this whole time, getting angry, frustrated and annoyed as I thought about how to escape. I knew someone would come to pick me up, and that would be my time of exploration.

The shadow arrived first before it's true owner, and I growled when I saw a sturdy broad-shouldered man knock on my cage. "Feel good brat?" he asked me in his thick voice, his teeth charred and face adorning various claw marks.

He wore a very plain fur coat and black pants, with sharp leather boots. Overall he wasn't any special so I knew he wasn't the boss of the ring.

"I asked you something!" he shouted, hitting the bars with his metal rod. In the other hand he held a torch for better visibility. The fire from the torch making my eyes burn with the lack of use.

"Shut up you bastard, where the fuck am I?" I shouted back at him with a croak, unleashing my anger at him to my full potential. And he did flinch back, yet it wasn't enough as he started to laugh at my expense.

"Still feisty I see." He snarled at me, baring his rotting fangs, "but not for long, once we are done training you, you will be brand new."

He opened my cage after a few impatient moments and stepped into my cell confidently. He then untied the ropes on my ankles so that I could walk but held me at his rod's point so that I wouldn't get smart with him.

Since he was alone, he had to keep the torch away for doing his job, and the position of the flames was such that I clearly saw myself... and also my wounded body.

My skin looked pale and it wasn't the distortion done by light, I could feel it. I was sick. Even with my fast recovery rate, the poison had inflicted more harm than I had expected.

And I didn't have the strength to look at my abdomen, I knew I would vomit or turn more sick, so I kept looking at my limbs until my jailer was done. "There you go, all free and weak. Perfect for-"

"Shut up already, you are annoying," I spat and to my joy he wasn't amused. The next thing I knew I was down on the ground spitting blood from my mouth, the slap paining my cheeks.

"You are a strong one I will give you that, took triple the amount of drugs to knock you out effectively, even your cage was selected specifically for you."

"Where am I?" I asked him, knowing he wouldn't answer.

"Gongyona." Unfortunately, he did answer me, and the answer send a cold shiver running down my spine.

If I was correct, it was the worst of all the trafficking houses out there.

And I was not in Sarang, I am sure I was two or three territories away from it. Just how far had they brought us?

"Shocked?" the jailer mocked, "I am sure you are, no one knows exactly where we are located, but we have business all across, not even the justice troop could root us out."

Point taken.

He howled me up by my arms and forced me to stand, when I had no strength left to walk. Still, I trudged alongside him as he was the one in control now.

I thought I could summon my powers now, but it was useless, not even my claws were coming out. Pathetic.

We left the cell and walked through a number of confusing passages, making me wonder how the jailer wasn't left confused or... how he was still standing even after taking that much of drugs floating around me. I am sure he had taken some kind of an anti-drug to fight off the drug's effect.

"Keep walking," the jailer barked, slinging his rod at me and making me walk faster. He even shoved his burning torch in front of my face to inspire me into trotting. What a dick.

I was burning with poison and throbbing in pain, but I would rather die before letting him see that. Instead I just kept shut, masking my face with anger.

The cave was long, more like a man-made tunnel, and to the sides, I could see various paths leading towards even more narrower routes. And from the noises coming from there, I knew they were clustered with cells just like mine.

My jailer took a turn then and we crossed many small cells, but at one point, at the end of the tunnel, we both had to stop in front of a shadowed cell, very little light inside, only lit with a small crooked opening on the back. But even with that I couldn't see who the captured prisoner was, my eyesight had weakened considerably along the span of time it appeared.

At least I knew it was daytime, and we were surrounded with trees outside, since the opening gave me enough hints. I just wondered why there was an opening here when mine was total darkness.

Oh right, the sadistic bastard did say they had given me the worst cage, which was 'selected' specifically for me.

The jailer than rang the cell bars haughtily with his rod, snickering when the cellmate whimpered.

"Serves you right you creep," the jailer said, saliva spewing out of his mouth as he did. It was totally revolting.

He opened the jail cell and walked in, making me stand outside all alone, in my severe weakened state. The breeze from the opening blew by and the strong smell of wolfsbane assaulted my nose. It was enough to make me dry heave.

"Don't go sick on me now!" The jailer ordered, while dragging out the cellmate. "The forest outside is all wolfsbane, smells like shit doesn't it. But it suits you dirt bags."

I take it back, my cell was far better than his, the poisonous smell from the opening was really hazardous for our race, how was this guy surviving?

Now I understood why the jailer was so carefree with us captured ones, he knew we had no chance of surviving even if we attacked him. For we were kept surrounded by some strange wolfsbane forest. No wonder the justice troop could never find them, they were well equipped with the natural terrain itself, it was no less of a fort.

"Move!"

We both moved, and the jailer walked ahead of us.

The one with me was blond and slightly older in age, but I couldn't exactly be sure. He was deathly white and slightly shivering, bending low while walking in a dangerous way, like he would fall anytime.

I didn't know what came over me, but I supported him with my shoulder, since my hands were tied. He at first recoiled at contact, but did move his head to glance at me. And then he sighed, nodding, walking slightly straighter than before, making me notice he was taller than me.

Soon we reached an area with dark stone work, even the lighting was pale in comparison to the darkness enveloping it.

The floor was cold, just like the place, and the silence gnawing at me.

"Get inside," the brute commanded, and we both did, well the blond guy did, I resisted at first but was soon struck with the rod, directly above my abdomen.

So biting my lips to keep in my whimper, I walked in through the dark door.

I found out that the inside was just another cell, with a sink in the corner and a drafty little opening above our heads.

Closing the metal door behind us, the jailer smirked through the bars, "Sleep tight, tomorrow you will meet your discipline master, he is good to his slaves."

Liar. I sneered at him.

And then he was gone, his heavy steps echoing through the walls.

I turned my attention to the blond guy next, who was very skinny from undernourishment. "Who are you?" I asked, watching the man wincing in pain as he sat down on the cold floor. His body mirroring me, half naked and tied by the hands. Even he was restrained with a belt which I assumed was just as poisonous as mine, it told me he was no omega. Because unlike my special un-omega like traits, where I could handle the poison, he was surely no omega. Because two JeonJas couldn't be there at the same time. I knew I was a special case, so most probably he was not an omega.

And I was sure the jailer had no idea what I was, he never once reminded me of being an omega, which the one with proper knowledge would have.

"You?" he rasped out, he was much worse than I had thought.

"An omega." If he didn't tell me his name, I wasn't telling mine either.

I couldn't tell his expression as he continued, "You don't look like one." and he coughed after saying that.

"Oh I am not really lying, but you could believe whatever you want to, at least until we are stuck here."

"You must know we are *Cough cough* surrounded by a wolfsbane *cough* forest, we can't get out until sold."

I chuckled, gaining his attention, "Believe me, we can and we will, I just have to find an opening. I can't just sit here and wait for someone to rescue me."

He nodded and I found him smiling, his dimples showing. "Nice to meet you mate."

"Sure, nice to meet you too."
