chapter 1

people always say how they love rain. I hate it, it always reminds of sadness and despair. tears, they are similar to rain, darkness lingers in the essence of these liquids. I would've never thought that tears could be more magical. I never wouldn't thought that tears would change my life so significantly. tears can make friends and evil rivals. tears can be destructive and life giving. tears are the very essence that feelings and emotions are. happy tears, sad tears, upset tears, shocked tears, they all impact feelings and every living thing has feelings hidden or not they can care or not care. tear drops can force entire realms to destroy each other. tear drops can make everyone empathetic, mad, sad, hate ,love. but tears can over all rule the world. no one in my realm expected an the ocean to to get up and become a portal. but that's what happened. I was so shocked that a huge circle hovered in the sky making it dark. I was glad we had artificial light sources. the portal sat there. after a few days people started shooting at it, wondering if aliens would respond. later portal started to glow a bright clear blue and seemed to act a bit like a liquid. I witnessed this and I ran to my apartment scared that something bad would happen. I'm cara, I'm 20 dark brown hair and skinny I live at the outside motel( that's what its called) very cheap place but I barely have enough money to stay off the streets. when this happened i didn't want to get kicked out because the place I was staying at got scared so i worked as hard as I could in the seven days the portal sat there, on the eighth day when it changed colors I freaked and ran home. I stared out my window in fear, then shocked people started to fly upwards toward the portal. I screamed as I floated up and smashed through the window. when I reached the portal I fell unconscious.
