Arrived

Olive opened her eyes. It was evidently night. But there were lights everywhere. Where ever she looked out the window, there were lights. Glistening in the night, she had made it to Nelworth. This was the first time she had ever gone to a city in her life. It was so surreal. Olives uncle had the GPS on, tracking where they were supposed to be going.

Once they had made it Olives uncle helped take out all her stuff and bring it into the lobby, the receptionist asked for her ID she showed the lady. The receptionist then gave Olive the key and number for her room. Everything after that was a haze for Olive. She remembered crashing on the bed she had just made and closing her eyes...

She woke up early Sunday morning. She was well rested and wanted to finally do some exploration! Now was the perfect time, there were still three weeks until Nelworth college would start. She looked around... The place was rather cramped, it had a small kitchen, which had a breakfast bench across from is, but that was the only table in Olives view. She saw a little living room right in front of the only entrance. The bedroom was tucked away, after entering the room you would have to turn left and go down a short and narrow hall to be greeted by the bedroom door. It was the only room, which at the the time Olive didn't mind because she was living on her own. The toilet was straight through. The layout of the house was fairly simple and easy to get used to.

After she felt satisfied with exploring her room, she wondered if he neighbour's were here yet... She decided she would go shopping before intruding on her neighbour's empty handed. She didn't exactly know what to get, she got what she thought she needed. She definitely was planning on baking and cooking a lot. So she stocked up, she also treated herself and bought some new clothes, because her old clothes were old and worn out. Her savings were slowly melting through her fingers. She looked back in her wallet... Before she spend her money, she had saved up in total, $1050, but after buying everything she had purchased so far, she only had $625 left. But in enthusiastic Olive's mind, she still had plenty money left. Enough to last her awhile at least.

When she got back to the lobby of the apartment the receptionist smiled at Olive at informed Olive that her uniforms had arrived. The receptionist have her the uniforms and Olive made her way up to her room. Her room was on 5th floor, the highest one as well! She immediately began to bake. She started by making a cake, but only frowned at it before making cupcakes. Since this place was renting place for students from Nelworth college everyone here should be around her age! She left her room with the box of cupcakes.

She knocked on the room next to her, a female voice pierced through the walls, "Yeah I'm coming! Wait a sec mum!" Olive tilted her head in confusion. The door opened. The girl there immediately flustered. "I'm so sorry! I thought you were someone else!" Olive only smiled awkwardly and said, "No, it's ok! I'm your neighbour!" She motioned to the room next to hers. "I baked cupcakes, as a uhh, welcome, or, I hope we can become friends symbol thingy..." It didn't take much convincing for the girl to willingly take them and say, "You made food for me?! Oh, we are so becoming friends! Where is your phone? I'll give you my number now." She exclaimed happily. Olive pulled her phone out of her hoodie pocket.

"Oh my goodness! I didn't even introduce myself!" The girl said. "I'm Jasmine." She said with a grin while holding her hand out, "I'm Olivia, but most people call me Olive" the mood lightened fast, soon Jasmines mum came back up. Jasmine introduced me. Jasmine glanced at her phone. "Holy damn! It's 9:30pm already!!" Jasmine said loudly. "Aw, I better go back now, I'm tired" Olive said eventually. "Yeah, if your not doing anything I'll check out your place!" Jasmine said enthusiastically. "That'd be great! Olive said while collecting her stuff up. "See ya!" Olive said finally while getting up to leave. When she went to her dorm she closed her eyes instantly letting the dreams she had engulf her.
