Chapter Thirty

~ Adaria

"You're A1?" She asked. I nodded. "You're the one that tried to kill Zaidi?"

"Yes, I'm so-"

"Goodness child, please do hurry up." She said sighing and putting a hand to her face. Tyrell and I gapped at her. She looked up. "Oh, please. You expect me to protect that traitorous letch? I know everything that he's ever done. The only reason I stay with him is for you and Lorik, although I think that it might just be for you now." I was still. Another ally? I hesitated.

"So, you know about Earth?" I asked.

"Of course. I'm sad to say that I couldn't stop him." She said. "So, what are you planning?"

"Well, so far I've only be able to find the paperwork for the destruction of Earth." I said.

""That's in his personal files, how'd you-" I smiled. "I know that there's more in his office at the house. He keeps the most incriminating evidence off his computers."

"So that's why you weren't able to find anything else." Tyrell said. "So, where do we go from here?" I thought about this for a while.

~ Tyrell

She sat there thinking for a little bit before she looked up.

"Well, first we have to go through the wedding to not arousing suspicion. After that I'll need to have complete access to his office. I don't know how to mannage that if it's in his home office." She looked up at my mother. "Would it be possible for you to take him out of town without him getting suspicious?" She smiled.

"When you've married for as long as I have you learn ways to do anything without being suspicious."

I left the room soon after we made our plan so that Adaria could get fitted in her wedding dress. Bit by bit people started leaving my apartment. I was sitting on the couch staring at the ceiling. How much had my father hurt my mother? Hurt her to the point where she was helping to plot his downfall. I thought back to when we went to meet my parents for the first time. She said that Lorik came to visit her cell, what part did he have to play in this whole scheme?

I looked up when the door to the bedroom opened. Adaria came out and smiled at me.

"It fits... sort of." She said. My mother was following her out.

"I'll see you two later. Good night." Adaria walked her to the door and gave a hug.

"Thank you for everything that you've done. This wouldn't be possible without you." My mother smiled and hugged her back.

"No thanks nessissary." Adaria closed the door after her. Adaria came and sat next to me.

"I'm so tired." She said quietly. I smiled and hugged her close.

"I can call for take out if you want." She was conflicted.

"Fine." She sighed. "I just want to eat and go to bed." She stretched out on the couch. "I'm not excited to go to work tommorow. By now everyone probably know about us." She said closing her eyes. I rubbed her head.

"I hope so. I don't think I could deal with another admirer." I rolled my eyes.

"I think you have too many. You should stop looking so hansome and rich." I laughed.

"Why didn't I think about that sooner." I kissed her forehead. "I'm going to get dinner." She just nodded.
