Juliet's way out

Although Juliet lived in the second floor, she do have her meals in the first floor, as long as Mr Ralph is around. Mr Ralph had wanted her to move to the first floor but she refused, the reason was best known to her. When she got to the dinning room in the first floor, the two were waiting for her so they could eat together. Juliet was quiet as she was eating her meal slowly, like she was in thought. Mr Ralph noticed, he was unsure of what had happened for her to react this way, it was unusual of her to be quiet while eating. He wanted to ask but later decided against it, since she was not saying anything, he would pretend like he was unaware that something was bothering her. Because of Juliet, the breakfast had a perfect manner. When they were through with their meal, they called one of the maids to clear the table, while they moved to the sitting room.

Juliet was still trying to put the puzzle together, the image of the stitched chest of Peter kept appearing in her mind. She thought she had been learning a difficult life, she lost her parents when she was ten years old, since then Mr Ralph had been the one taking care of her, coupled with the fact that things was not easy for her. Not until two years ago when Mr Ralph had a fortunate encounter that things changed for the better. But thinking of Peter, although she didn't know what he had passed through, the way she sees him changed when she saw the stitched chest.

"Father, are you aware of what Peter had went through?" Juliet asked Mr Ralph.

"I don't know what he had experienced. But I'm sure it's not something people like us can comprehend nor think off. Why did you ask?" Mr Ralph replied her, he was glad because the way she sees Peter had changed. Juliet did not answer the question he asked. She left for her room to allow the silent Jungle and Mr Ralph to have their talk. When she left, Jungle asked the boss. "Why did you want the two to get close?"

"I have wanted to pave a way out for her, when Peter came, I keep having the feeling that he is the way out for her." Mr. Ralph responded.

"Do you think Peter is capable? If he is, do you think he will help her?"

"I have always trust my instinct and it has never failed me. About if he will help her or not will depend on her performance."

"Boss, there is a mole within us, the guy you asked us to get escaped before we got to him, that can only be possible when someone have informed him." Jungle explained, informing the boss about how things went the previous day.

"I know, but what I don't know is how many are they? While I was talking with Smallie yesterday, he said he can't tell who is the person they put within us, he added that he can only advised that we plan like we are alone in this. That is what scared me most. With everyone here, why do we have to plan like the two of us are alone? Since then I have been having the feeling that we won't survive this coming disaster. But if we won't be surviving, we will surely take as many people as possible along." He said with determination.

"Boss, did Smallie explained why he advised us to plan like we are alone?" Jungle asked while being scared. No one will be happy if he is aware that his death is coming soon.

"He said the reason was that he was unable to dictate something tangible. You don't have to be scared, just make sure there is a way out for your family and let's not make it easy for them."

"Sir, how about we ask Peter for help?"

"That won't be appropriate. He seems to come back here to enjoy a peaceful life, having him help Juliet is somehow not appropriate too, and it will be unreasonable to ask him for a hand. Whoever takes life should expect a payback." He paused for a while, trying to confirm something, "why do I have the feeling that someone is listening to our conversation?"

"Do you think it's Peter?" Jungle asked

"I don't know, I asked Smallie to check him, he could not get anything, he only find some documents in his bag, including a B.A degree and a Master degree certificate."

Peter in his room was surprised that Mr Ralph was aware that someone was listening to their conversation. He knew things were complicated but he was to lazy to think about it as long it did not threaten his life. As for helping Juliet, he would help her out even if they didn't asked, he was as well glad that the boss decided not to include him in his plan because even if he help them, he can only postpone awaiting disaster; it would still hurt them later. What surprised him most was the fact that Smallie was not actually dull, he was there to spy on everyone. Smallie had even checked his room behind him and he didn't find anything complicating. Although he had lower his guide since he got to Nigeria because he believe not many people can threaten his life.
