Construction

Alright, so here's one of the stocked chapters from back then... I know, finally! I'll be returning very soon, with even better writing, so expect me!

Ghost of the Uchiha shall live on!

--------------

In the next seven days, the Uzumaki clan was quickly moved to the leaf village. Construction of their compound was a large project, so they were made to reside in multiple inns for the time being. It was estimated that construction would finish in the coming month.

Initially, the Konohagakure villagers were confused, but after an official statement from the Hokage and some prompting, the Uzumaki were welcomed with open arms. The younger ones would be admitted into the academy once the new term started, and the ninja were immediately put to work.

Overall, the mood of the village hadn't changed much. The integration of the Uzumaki was almost a seamless process; Something that not everyone could've predicted.

Once the other villages received the news of what happened, they became furious and berated Konohagakure. Tensions were rising, and the war seemed to draw even closer. With some prompting from the leaf, the other four villages blamed each other for what happened, their makeshift alliance crumbling as fast as it formed.

At this point, everyone was steadily preparing for the incoming fight. Analysts believed that it wouldn't be half a year before war was officially declared.

Sitting on the roof of a particular apartment block, Jun wondered if he made the right decision. Closing his eyes, he felt the unrecognizable chakras of Nagato's family. Using some of his mission rewards, he had rented this apartment for them to live in until they generated enough income to sustain themselves.

The three of them were completely different from who they used to be. With this level of preventive measures, Jun felt like it would be tough for Shiro Zetsu to recognize them.

'At least, they'll be safe.' Crossing his arms, Jun looked up at the clouds. He felt like he was steadily growing, but he needed to get stronger if he wanted to bring Ren back and foil his other self's plans. Peace would only be a fleeting dream as long as he stayed in the picture.

Interrupting his thoughts, an Anbu flickered right next to him. Looking up at him, Jun instantly recognized him, even though he wore a mask.

"Yashiro-san, what brings you to me?"

"You recognized me? Well, that doesn't matter. Lord Masaki is looking for you, so head back immediately.

Not wasting any more time, Yashiro crouched a little and flickered away, disappearing. Seeing this, Jun smiled and rose to his feet, dusting himself off.

'I wonder what he needs me for?'

Danzo stood in the Hokage's office, facing Hiruzen. Narrowing his eyes, Danzo spoke in a flat voice. "What did you call me for, Hiruzen? Are you not busy with the Uzumaki's integration?"

Puffing his pipe, the latter dropped the construction documents he was holding and spoke in a severe tone.

"Masaki sounded out the idea of Jun joining the Anbu."

"Hm?" His interest piqued, Danzo's demeanor changed. "The Anbu? Why did you call me if he won't be under my supervision anyways."

"That's where you're mistaken. He wants Jun to work under you." Smiling mysteriously, Hiruzen rested his chin on his interlocked fingers.

"Under me?" Taking a second to process the information, Danzo narrowed his eyes. 'For what reason? Does he want yo plant a spy near me?'

Feeling like he could easily read Masaki's intentions, Danzo's lips curled up the slightest bit. Finally, something happened that he could control.

'If he wants to spy on me, I'll play his game and feed them false information... Heh, the Uchiha will dance on the palm of my hands once again.' If he succeeded in heightening the tensions between the Hokage and Uchiha, his plan would come to fruition. All he had to do was sour their relationship, and Jun was the key. The bridge.
