Apparted

"I...I... uh.." I stammered. I didn't know how to reply to Kelly.

"You.... what?" Kelly repeated my words.

"I- went... for a walk!" I exclaimed. "You know, to get some fresh air."

"mhm. Sure." Kelly mumbled. I knew she didn't believe me.

"Whatever." She finally said and I felt a wave of relief.

"Oh yeah, so this crazy drunk guy knocked on the door and was like desperately asking where you were, if I've seen you anywhere, if I knew you. But didn't trust this guy so I lied and told him I didn't know anything about you." Kelly said going into the kitchen.

I froze.

I didn't even blink.

I couldn't even breathe.

No... this can't be true.

I suddenly felt weakness in my legs and lost my balance but Kelly caught me in time.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She asked.

"N-n-n-n..... Nothing." I stammered.

"Okay just... sit down." Kelly suggested and she sat me down on the bed.

" I don't want to go to class today. I'm not feeling well." I said to Kelly.

"Okay I'll be heading to class now, stay well." She said and walked out of the dorm.

My head was spinning with thoughts.

My dad has reached me but can't find me.

He is near me!

I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't bear the thought of him here and destroying my life. Again...

I cried myself to sleep since I had nothing better to do.

And found myself in a familiar place.
