Scolia, The Fallen Noble Family

After Bryan, one of the commanders of his army has left the room for good. Arden opens his drawer and took the book from the drawer once again.

He continued on the last page he left it on and continues reading through the list of nobles in the kingdom. He was at the Duke section after the king and the Royal family and royal nobles.

As he flipped through the pages of the book and continued to the Marquis section, he could see many nobles, even more powerful than him, and went through countless battles and wars.

Most of them went to fight against the invasion of the barbarians, now called the Kingdom of Norse, and died bravely in the battle against the large army of their opponent.

That's when Arden realized that he was just delivering the killing blow to the enemy. Many various nobles died trying to reduce the opponent's strength and let the unknown do the killing blows. In this case, it was Arden.

As he continues flipping the pages of the book that contain much information about various nobles. He could see the writer is very diligent, there is some information he didn't even know about the noble he was close with.

However, as he was going toward the count section, he could see a familiar symbol as he examined the last pages of the Marquis section. The flag in the middle was the pink petals of flower.

It took him long enough to remember about the flag he saw flying at the Karen's carriage. He thought to himself, 'Great! Just when I need the information about her, this book came to me!'

He immediately examined every word carefully and didn't leave a single word to escape his view. Below the symbol, he could see the leader of the family, and it was written as "Elpenor Scolia"

"It was about the family of Scolia" He muttered while he thought about the family and continue afterwards.

"The family of Scolia, the once-great family full of great warriors and have good connections at the past. Now decimated by the war against Norse and Bisvirb" He read it out loud in his office like telling a tale.

"The leader of this family, unfortunately, died at the wars with many of his warriors and a wicked evil person, the 34 years old, wife of Elepanor took advantage of the death of her own husband," As he continues reading this, he immediately knew who this book was talking about.

'It must have been that noblewoman, I need to uncover more about the story!' He, weirdly excited, continues to read the text about the family.

"The woman was horrible, terrible, abusive to everyone that is left in the family, taking every money from the currency she could even though her husband saves the money for the family itself. No one could fight back at the disaster in the family, not even the guards as they won't be spared if they hurt the nobles." Arden became more excited as he read the words written there, and at the same time, his blood boiled in his vein.

"The oldest man at the family, that still life until this day, was the father of Elepanor. He is 90 years old and lives peacefully at the main house. But… one day, normally ate his food and suddenly collapsed to the floor, leaving him bedridden for months" Even without concrete evidence, he knew whose fault is this.

He examined the text about the father of Elepanor and thought to himself about these phenomena, trying to find the right answer of why he collapsed to the floor and was bedridden for months just after he ate.

'Assassin? They would let the man die. Poison? Most likely from that woman, I don't know what poison though. Poison is the best answer I have, it's rare to get incurable diseases at such an old age even though he is active at a young age, its different story if he is lazy at a young age,' He said to himself to keep going and continue reading it.

'Wasting time is not going to help, I need to uncover more mystery about this noble family' He then proceeds to continue reading the words written at the page.

"The woman that took advantage when her own husband died didn't just bring any misfortune and disaster, she focused on her daughter and forced her to marry the heir to the throne. The king seeing this, reluctantly agreed as Elepanor told the king himself about his daughter liking another man but seeing his own heir liked her very much, the king was forced by his mind to agree" Arden seeing this immediately thought about how terrible the Karen is.

'This Karen is even more horrible than I thought, he even forced her daughter to marry the prince, that's a good thing for her daughter though…' He stopped mid-track and then making the possible scenario that is going to happen to him.

'There is a chance she forced her daughter to tell the prince that I'm revolving and the prince will send some forces to me!' Arden thought about these possibilities and thought about the fact supporting it.

'It's almost impossible for the prince to do that, he has no control of the king's army' Arden then placed the book at his drawer after thinking he read enough of the content.

He worked a few more hours before getting worried about him getting accused of starting a rebellion. He has this gut feeling that it's going to happen in the future.

It was then something came up in his mind, he needed to check the treasury, and he remembered his wife's words, "She said she gave her father responsibility as the treasurer, I need to visit Sean."

He then made up his mind to visit Sean's manor at the location it was built as he tried to remember it. He then walked out of his room and began making his way toward the manor.

With the sleeping tiger cub, he placed at his arms as he walked at the hallway and leaving the castle. Many complimented the tiger cub at his arm and said it was a perfect match for himself.

He just smiled at them and thank them as he continues on his way. It was then he realized the problem. Many people stopped him in his track and tried to talk to him about the tiger cub.

He makes his way at the street and thought about it, 'I think the time affects the people, many came back from their work at afternoon, that's probably the reason the street is so crowded like every other afternoon'

His thought contains truth and the city street was bustling right now, as he continued walking down the street, one of random thought popped up, 'I remembered seeing this place as the poor village it once was, not it felt more like a city to me'

He sighed in relief before thinking about that. He focused much on improving the prosperity at the settlement and made a great job doing it. That made him relaxed as he look at the new buildings.

Countless buildings were being built around the city, and the city itself is getting bigger and bigger. It was mostly because of Lannis and his crews, but now they were gone. All the construction is stopped.

He thought about it and began making some new plans, 'I think I need to make a builder crew, blacksmith and builder to build various kinds of things. Who would be an excellent fit as the first person, though?'

He still continues his way when he got many random thoughts about various kinds of things. That's when he got kind of lost in his way.

He was forced to ask someone, the one that knew about the way to Sean's manor. Arden began searching for someone he could ask, and that's when someone bumped into him.

He panicked and quickly turned around and saw who bumped into him. There he saw him, the person he has met for the last 2 days, Louis.

He raised one of his eyebrows before saying something to Louis, "Hey, do you know where Sean's house is? You might now know, but he is the father of my wife"

Louis looked at him and was as surprised as him, he began searching through his memory while he blankly stared at him, once he remembered who is Sean, he said to Arden.

"Sean? I think one of my neighbours owns a manor and his name was Sean, I'll show you the way. Also, when can my sons start working?" Arden smiled when he knew he has found someone that could show him the direction.

He heard about the question and quickly answered, "Edward and Adam can start tonight, Alan and Daniel at the next morning, I will depend on them, they just need to stand in front of my door for 12 hours, 10 minutes break every 1 hour"

Louis just smiled and began showing him the way toward Sean's manor.
