Meeting New King

Arden thought a fight was going to break out at the location. Turn out he's wrong, a fight never breaks out there, both side made a truce and went on their own way.

But, this information reached the king's ear, and he is a little bit agitated about this. 2 days after the fight, all the people that are related with the tragedy at that night is called to the court.

Arden was asked by his best friend, Ady, at 1 night to tell him what happened at that night. He just said it truthfully and is very detailed. He knew about every single thing that happened there.

Also, because of the attackers, much of the furniture at Theo's house was broken, almost all door and window broke into pieces. Forcing Arden and his friends to stay at the local inn where Bam has helped booking the room.

Now, Arden is making his preparation for the meeting with a king in front of his mirror while making a pose and saying, "I'm cool af".

With the best and coolest clothes he brought with him in the backpack, he makes sure he is respectful and handsome at the same time in the eyes of the king.

With a big smile across himself, he prepares himself. After 15 minutes or so, he said to himself, "I'm ready at this point, just need to prepare myself mentally"

He then sits at his bed and closed his eyes and meditate, listening to silent and let it fill his mind. In just a moment, he is ready to go to the court.

He began making his way to exit his bedroom and was about to close his doors. That's when Theo, Maverick, and Austin came out from their own rooms.

They decided it's best to go together and so they make their way together to the court. On the way, Arden thought to himself, 'I didn't remember where in the courtroom, maybe Theo did?'

He then expresses his curiousness to Theo by asking, "Hey Theo, you know where the courtroom is?"

Theo looked at him before saying, "Of course I remember where is the location of that place, its right beside the Throne room"

Arden gave out a long "OOOOH" and stayed silent for the rest of the walk there. Once they arrived at the place, it was crowded with nobles of all kinds from various areas in the kingdom.

He found himself in the middle of the courtroom and in front of him is a barrier with the shape of a fence. Nobles watch him from the elevated floor and they began discussing loud and clear for him to hear.

"Hey, who do you think going to win?" "I think it's the baron, he is very good and did many things to this kingdom," He smiled upon hearing what is being said but didn't look to them so they know he couldn't hear them.

Then, the Karen entered the room with his bodyguards and a smug face. Arden gritted his teeth before calming himself, "Stay calm, everything is going to be alright and nothing will go wrong."

That's when the king himself entered the room and gave out a loud "ehm", making all the sounds to disappear to thin air. He then sat down at the judge chair and say loudly, "You all know me as King Austria the 2 and I'll be the judge for this day"

The king is a young man with his brown kind of orange he got from his father. It was known to the public that the king is only 22 years old, the same age of Arden.

Arden looked at the king patiently while waiting for the king to get himself ready. The king flipped a bunch of paper and made Arden wonder, "What is that paper? Report about what happened at that night?"

That's when the king suddenly says, "So, I have read the report both sides sent me, this is a very hard thing to solve in my point of view and I will ask some question"

Arden remembered about what Ady said after he told the story to him. "Hey, you will be the one the act in the court cause you and Karen is what caused the problem, good luck"

"So, my mother in law broke into your friend's house in a night suddenly" The king asked Arden and as fast as possible, he answered.

"Yes, your majesty" Then, he turned his attention to the Karen and asked the same thing related to the report.

"Written in here, you were assaulted when you were out drinking wine with friends and were attacked at the road. Then this gentleman retreated to the house. Because your mind is not in the right mindset and is drunk at that moment, you attacked him?" The king asked the Karen, and she answered after a long silence.

"I'm your mother-in-law, you must side with me! What's written in the report is what really happened at that moment!" Everything and even the king himself looked at her with doubt and the discussion continues flowing after getting stopped by the king.

"Even blind people could know that your thing is absolutely false, how can someone be like that, compared on the report of the other gentleman, is like eagle and pigeon, he is very detailed and yours have many flaws" Arden smiled knowing the king is going to the right direction.

"B-But, I'M YOUR MOTHER! HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!" She shouted and her voice could be heard all across the room.

"I have decided, this time, Baron of Aselwey is the one that is right in my eyes, not only he won a duel at that tragedy even being very truthful at this very moment" That's what all the people heard at the courtroom before the screeching followed shortly.

It was making people more uncomfortable than ever, people there started covering their ears even as the king did the same. With a mighty voice, the king said, "Guards! Take this woman out!!"

Then, the Karen change from screeching to fake crying, she began dropping crocodile tears and no one f*cking care. The guards dragged her out of the room while she is still doing her acting.

Then, the king turned his attention to Arden, "Can you meet me at a private room? Baron of Aselwey."

Arden was confused about this and responded with, "Yes, your majesty" and the king left the room after that.

A middle-aged guard with his grey hair mixed with black one came to the room in the same grounds as Arden and said loudly and clearly to the room, "For all the nobles that gathered here! This session is over. You could go on with your life now"

Everyone starts leaving the room upon hearing this, and so did Arden. He was about to step outside of the big door but got stopped by the guard, "My lord, I'll guide you to the place where you are going to meet with the king."

Arden looked at the guards for a few seconds before answering, "I'll be grateful if you do that, just call me Arden considering you are older than me"

The guard smiled before saying, "I see, a man that respects the one older than him, you are a good man, thank you. Just call me Gwen then."

Then, they both make their way toward a room, a room that is made to confuse others. The way to it is like a maze, circling around the castle and finally, toward that room.

Arden entered the room, and it was furnished for a royal-like the king himself. There he saw the king himself already sitting on a chair.

In front of him was a table and another chair facing himself, 'That must be the place where I'm going to sit'

That's what he thought and began making his way toward that chair and sat at it. He faces the king himself in front of him, with a tea on the table in front of him.

The king is drinking another cup of tea and then stopped, "You must be very nervous, right? I like you very much, your action on helping this kingdom is the best one I heard from many stories"

Arden looked at him and then at the cup of glass, "Thank you for that, I can teach you how to fight for some time!"

The king looked at him before pointing his hand to the cup of the tea and said, "You can drink that cup of tea. I'll be very helpful to have you as my teacher and instructor"

Both of them smiled and Arden drunk his tea when knowing he is a little bit thirsty after what happened in the courtroom. "So, when can I start?"

Arden burst out all the tea in his mouth and it almost went to the king himself. Fortunately, his face is facing the side. He wiped all the waters with his clothes and say, "We could start tomorrow or later, maybe?"

That's what he said with his mind full of doubt
