Leaving Capital City

His schedule from Monday until Saturday was filled with him being a teacher to the king. At Sunday, he works as a blacksmith making armour sets and all sort of weapons.

It has been a month since Arden's encounter with the founder of the blacksmith society, Daulitos. Since then, the surprise gift that he promised to Daulitos were ready to be given to him.

It took him 2 weeks of his tight schedule of free time to make it and the rest of 2 weeks were spent to sell equipment and gather money to remake the pub that got destroyed to the ground by the gangster.

Unfortunately, Arden's couldn't gather information about those gangster and the one that sent them. Resulting of him didn't have anything to retaliate against them and the one behind her.

However, he got enough money for Bam to buy a building almost at the centre of the city and got his pub running back again. Now, Arden is staring at the ceiling of his bed with his arm above his forehead and just closing his eyes.

As he was about to take a nap, someone knocks on his door. He rushed there with his mind focused on a thought, 'Is it someone informing me that Daulitos is at the capital?'

He opened the door only to see the king's guard that has taken him to the king for their session every day. But this time, it was different. The king's guard weirdly has a smile across his face.

"Sir, you are no longer needed to do your session with the king, he is satisfied with the result after training with you after all of this time," He informed Arden within a second the door was opened.

'That explains that enormous smile on his face, I don't need to train the king is already a relief on my side' He sighed in relief and answered with a short dismissal of the king's guard, "Okay, you can go now"

Upon hearing this, the guard didn't move at all, he instead informed Arden once again, "As a gift from the king, I'm going to serve you and the king only from now and where ever you go!"

He said with the loud voice that people at the other room came out of the room and shouted, "Hey, can you both shut up! I'm trying to take a nap here!"

Arden must apologize profusely about the guard's behaviour, "Sorry to bother you, sir, I apologize once again"

That man went inside his room and Arden just sighed and said to him, "keep the voice down, this place will lose a customer if you keep using that kind of loudness, come inside the room"

He said while keeping his voice down as possible and the guard went inside his room. Once both of them were there, Arden closed the door and take a chair from the table nearby and said to the guard, "sit here quietly!"

Right after he finished his sentence, another knock from the door can be heard, 'Who the heck is knocking this time!'

He swears in his mind and gets to the door only to see the guard he got from Daulitos standing in front of him, "Sir, the great founder is already waiting for you at the building"

Arden regained his calmness and answer him, "Okay, you can wait outside while I'm packing my stuff"

The guard complied and turn his back around before waiting outside Arden's room. Arden began packing his stuff while the guard from the king tried to start a conversation.

"Sir, you are the Baron of Aselwey, right? Do you want to know my name so you can address me better?" Arden was too focused on packing his stuff, but a thought came up in his mind.

'This dude really thought his name was important, I don't have any problem about knowing his name though,' After thinking about this, Arden didn't respond to him and just focused on packing his stuff.

"Yea, you could tell me your name. Also, can you help me with some things here?" The guard quickly rushes to help Arden pack his thing into a big bag.

"My name is Aric, quite a weird name isn't it?" Arden heard him but didn't respond. He is too focused on packing his thing.

With the help of Aric, he came out of the room in 1 minute and could see his other guard leaning against the wall while closing his eyes and didn't notice Arden and Aric coming out of the room.

'It seems that he didn't notice me and Aric' Arden proceed to wave his hand in front of the guard and said to him, "Hello? Hello?"

"MY NAME'S MARK!" Arden looked at him and make a confused face at him while Aric just responded to Mark, "Hi Mark! I'm Aric!"

Seeing the stupidity of the strong men in front of him made him couldn't help to giggle lightly. At this point, Mark realizes what he just did and apologize to Arden, "Sorry sir, my mind wanders to nowhere just now"

Arden made an uninterested face and look at him before responding, "No problem Mark, let's go, Daulitos is waiting for us"

Soon, the Baron and 2 of his personal guard found their selves in front of the big building of the blacksmith society. However, there is no sign of people waiting for them as the 3 of them looked around.

'Daulitos must've waited for me with the headmaster, I should go to the secret room now,' He pointed with his finger to his guards to follow him and they complied.

In a matter of seconds, they found their selves sitting at the comfortable couch Arden has sat 1 month ago. In front of him were Daulitos and the headmaster exchanging words and some goodbye.

After Daulitos said his goodbye to the headmaster, he turned his head to Arden, "So, I will be going first, after a few minutes, follow mark to the place the carriage is waiting for us"

Arden nodded understanding and just thought of the reason of this, 'It seems that he didn't want to let other people on this building to notice about him'

Right after he thinks about this, Daulitos went out of the room and to the place the carriages are waiting for him. The headmaster left the room shortly, leaving Arden and his 2 guards alone at the room.

A few minutes have past since Daulitos left the room, Mark said to Arden and Aric, "Let's go, we need to be fast!"

They rush out of the secret room and now is at the headmaster's office. That's when Arden remembered about something, 'The gift for Daulitos is at my room, I will go take it as fast as I could'

"Hey, you guys go first, I will take something from my room, wait for me at the reception area!" He informed his guards about it and stray away from them and take the armour set he made for Daulitos from his room.

After this, he rushes downstair and saw his guard waiting for him impatiently. Almost when he is close to them, Mark said to Arden, "Sir, let me carry that armour for you"

Arden gave the armour to Mark and the 3 of them began going to the place Daulitos is waiting from them. They made their way around the bustling city roads.

That's when Arden notices a black shadow from one of the alleys between the building watching him. He went past that person like in slow motion and make eye contact with him.

"Hey, you guys go first, I will catch you all with a horse on the road later!" He strayed away from his guards and went after the guy watching him.

At that moment, the guy completely disappears from his eyesight. Yet, Arden didn't give up and proceed to get into the alley. Only to see the black shadow climbing up the walls like a monkey and went to the roof.

Meanwhile, from the guy being chased by Arden perspective. He sighed thinking he had lost Arden and went down from the roof and thought it was safe for him.

He was wrong. As he leans against the wall of one of the dark alley, Arden suddenly showed up beside him. That guy ran like a cat scared of something and Arden quickly chased after him.

'Hm, I have lived at this dark alleys almost 10 years and know about the alleys, this terrain is advantageous to me!' Arden said this in his mind as he chase after the guys that looked like a black shadow.

He has a flashback about how he tackled the Duke of Aswen in the dark alley of the same city as he was standing right now.

With all of his power, he did the same to the guy and barely catch him but succeeded at last. Both of them at the ground after the guy were tackled by Arden.
