Arc 1.0

When Lin Yu opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of steel bars.

'....'

[Boss Lin, Your first mission is to save the life of young Lin Yu, a person with the same name as you are.]

While Lin Yu was contemplating whether this System can have emotions or not, he heard that the owner of the body also have the same name as him.

"This kid's name is also Lin Yu? Don't tell me that every time I Transmigrate into the body , the person would have the same name as mine?" Lin Yu asked. He start to feel that this wasn't an accident.

[That's not possible. Boss Lin, you are the who choose this world.]

Lin Yu grumbled in annoyce as he start cursing the System silently. He suddenly have an Idea that the System may or more likely gained emotions that it could be sarcastic through words. Unfortunately, the voice was still monotoned.

"Fine. I have no say in that."

Lin Yu tried to stand up, only to end up being force in the same position like before. Lin Yu suddenly look down, only to see a pair of chains binding him from his wrist and ankle.

"This....What the heck?"

[Boss Lin, I have connected you to the Link. It will help us communicate through mind, in order to prevent any unwanted accusations.]

Lin Yu didn't answer the System. Because he actually felt pain on his body.

"Do you have any memories about this guy? And why is he here in a Prison?"

After the System said that, Lin Yu suddenly encounter a bit of dizziness. However, he doesn't feel that pained and only have a blank look.

Lin Yu silently close his eyes before looking through the Memory.

It was lead by the intelligent Emperor Lin Douyan, Lin Yu's father. When Emperor Lin died, He pass the throne to his Second Wife's first son, Lin Huo. When Lin Huo became the Emperor, Everything inside the Lin Empire change and the situation became catastrophic. The brother of his, Lin Huo, is a hypocrite to the extent without showing it.

While Lin Yu, who knows everything about the corruption behind the scene, suddenly act so impulsive and start saying arrogant words while criticizing everyone. While he did so, he didn't notice Lin Huo standing behind him and so, he ended up in the situation that new Soul Lin Yu come, inside a Prison or more likely, a dungeon.

"51, Scan the whole place and see if anyone is around."

Lin Yu ordered. He felt like he would vomit blood if he ended up being accused as Crazy due to his talked with the System. Lin Yu swear that he will use the mind link next time.

[Boss Lin, Seems like the brother Lin Huo was careful. I've scanned the place and no one was around, even the guards was outside.]

Lin Yu was confuse when he heard that the guards was outside.

Shouldn't they be near my cell guarding me tightly?

As if to read Lin Yu's mind, the System quickly explained the reason behind the guards formation.

[Boss Lin, the dungeon you are in are build up with a special type of metal that is not easy to break. Unfortunately, That Lin  Huo underestimate you too much that he thought you won't be able to break free.]

Lin Yu dryly laugh after hearing what kind of prison is this.

'En, I'm a Mercenary though. It'll be a great embarrassment if I can't get out of here ah.'

Thinking like this, Lin Yu studied the chains that is binding his wrist before looking at the same chains place on his pair of ankles.

[Boss Lin, that kind of Chain is really hard to...]

Before the System could finish his sentence, Lin Yu suddenly act. He flick his wrist and suddenly, the chains fell with a thud.

"Ha! Easy!"

The System can't help but become speechless as he watch such move. Those chains was not the same as the modern chains ah!

Lin Yu stand up before walking towards the steel bars. It was like the same as the prison cell in the modern world, but how the lock was made is indeed very different. It needs key and Lin Yu was sure that the key was in the head guard, or in Lin Huo's hands.

"Hmmm.... let's see."

Lin Yu tried to look around and found a blue jade hair pin laying around.

Lin Yu crounch down and pick it up, examining the cold object on his hand.

' Isn't this for girls? '

Lin Yu thought. Just then, the System answer him.

[Boss Lin, the previous owner owned this. Besides, This is the ancient time and many males use hairpin due to their long hairs. Your current hair reaches your legs.]

Lin Yu suddenly shudder before quickly looking down. Just like the System said, He saw his long.... cyan hair??

"What's with my hair colour?"

Lin Yu again didn't know what the System is telling. Thinking that the guards might catch him if he waste time, he disregard his questions for the time being and quickly walk towards the lock. Lin Yu entered the hairpin into the hole before doing a few clicks and just like before, The door became unlocked.

Lin Yu ran out of the cell before examining the place. He doesn't know but he seems to have this kind of ability to percept everything around him, like a force belonged to him could swept around the place without hurdles.

[There are two guards stationed outside. The exit is located at the north. Be careful Boss.]

Lin Yu suddenly felt like he being belittle by this Lin Huo. Even though he knew that this was supposed to point at the previous Lin Yu, he still have the feeling of being belittle by a kid who still haven't seen the world.

'This Lin Huo sure know how to underestimate people.'

[Indeed.]

Lin Yu quickly run towards the exit, and saw the two guards ahead. The two guards weren't even on high alert, casually leaning against the wall while talking to each other.

[What to do Boss?]

'Base in this Lin Yu's memory, Lin Huo was the kind to punish people to the extent. Knocking them off would be enough.'

Fallowing what he says, Lin Yu quickly appeared behind one of the guards as he quickly put a pressure in the guard's sleeping acupuncture.

"Wha?!"

The other guard, although surprise, didn't got the time to react when he was knock out by Lin Yu with the same way.

Lin Yu didn't reply and directly ask for directions.

[Go East. When you run enough, you'll see a village. You just have to run North before going West and after some running, you'll see a Forest. You'll be safe there for the time being.]

'Great!'

Without further ado, Lin Yu quickly ran up to the direction given by the System.
